Artisanale Colvale in a quaint Goan village away from tourist activity. It overlooks paddy fields and has a large enclosed compound with lawns and a parking area. The kitchen is well equipped and we have a housekeeper/ cook. We have 2 AC bedrooms with attached bathrooms, and separate maids/ drivers quarters. The dining is open air. We have very high internet connection.
Utility stores/ restaurants are about a 5 minute drive and about 25 minute drive to the beaches of Anjuna, Morjim and Ashvem.
The space
Artisanale Colvale is located in the enchanting village of Colvale - North Goa, off the beaten tourist track and is within 3 -4 kms of the main market in Mapusa and 15 to 20 Kms from the nearest beach belt of Calangute, Baga and Candolim. Our home has 2 large bedrooms both of which are ACed and have each an attached bathroom. The bedrooms open into and al fresco dining area and the inner courtyard.
Our home, Artisanale Colvale is equipped with all the basic kitchen and home appliances required for a long stay including a fridge, washing machine, kettle, 4 gas burner with 2 cylinders etc... When you stay over, you can stock up the kitchen from the supermarket about 2 kms down the road. If you'd you like us to stock up something in particular you can let us know and we could look at arranging for the same. There are limited but good local restaurants in the vicinity you can order food from.
The public or private transport in this area is not to be relied on and a hired self drive 2 wheeler or 4 wheeler would have to be with you all the time. A scooter is about INR 1800 per month and a hatchback self drive car would be about INR 28,000 per month.
We have a very good internet connectivity on the premises. It is an optic fibre line with a WiFi speed of upto 50 MBPS. It is a prepaid line and you pay as per your usage. A 150MPS unlimited data would be about INR 1500 pm.
We have Tila, our housekeeper of 4 years, who stays on the premises with her husband, she keeps the lawns beautifully and is pleasant and efficient to have around. her fees are to be paid separately and directly to her. She charges about 17000 per month. For strictly long stays upwards from 1 year, you could use her room for your own staff and we wld be happy to relocate Tila to another of our Artisanale Homes.
We have a 1KVA backup inverter on the premises, so no worry there. The home also comes in equipped with
Kitchen appliances: fridge, microwave, mixer, water filter, top load washing machine
Essentials: 1 KVA inverter, wifi router
Linen: Towels/ bed linen for stays shorter than 1 month, please carry your own for longer stays
We love long, really long stays extending from upwards of a few months to a few years. We find the house better looked after this way and besides we get to meet some great folks from across the world who would like a share of what I have lived for the past 45 years of my life :-)!!!

Here is a check list of what is available in the house:
1. Linen/ towels/ hand towels: Yes. Provided and included in the rental for short stays less than 1 month.
2. Internet: Yes, an unlimited download, wifi broadband upto 50 mbps line throughout the house. Provided and included in the rental for short stays below 1 month.
3. Basic Toiletries: Yes. Provided and included in the rental for short stays below 1 month.
4. Smoking: Allowed on the premises, however charges for any upholstery/ bedding that is burnt, will be debited from your security deposit
5. Garbage disposal: We have dry and wet waste bins.
6. Parking: Space available
7: Conveyance: We do have local cab contacts who will ferry you around or you can hire a self drive car/ scooter.
8. Appliances available: fridge, toaster, washing machine, gas stove, iron
9. Electricity bills to be paid as per usage for stays longer than 1 month.
10. Inverter: Yes, we have a 1KVA backup battery.
Other things to note
There is a highway that passes about 75 mts at the back of the house and a village road that passes the front. Some Westerners have found that they can hear the traffic at night. So if you want a VERY quite place, then this place would not be for you. After all you are in India, known for its vibrant surroundings ....
