Beautiful area

This home is in a scenic location.
Unplug at a quiet farm retreat near the Grand Canyon. Soak under dark, starlit skies in the private hot tub, enjoy wide-open views of prairie and mountains, and watch for pronghorn, elk, and deer. Lose yourself in the curated library, or find stillness in the meditation room.

Two bedrooms, zero distractions.

Our peaceful, rural community of Parks is 30 minutes from both Flagstaff and the old Route 66 town of Williams, less than 90 minutes from the Grand Canyon, and about an hour from Sedona.

The space
The downstairs bedroom has a comfortable king-size bed with a memory foam topper, 100% cotton sheets, and a down-alternative comforter.

From the bedroom, a patio door looks out on a tiny private deck, screened by native shrubs.

The downstairs bath with rainfall shower is just outside the bedroom door. We have towels, shampoo, conditioner, soap, a hairdryer, and comfy cotton bathrobes for your use.

The hallway to this bedroom and bathroom can be screened from the living room space by a sliding privacy curtain.

The upstairs bedroom has the same premium bedding setup with a comfortable queen-size bed.

The upstairs bath, with rainfall shower and teak shower mat, is just a few steps from the bedroom door.

Also upstairs, the Prairie meditation room has French doors that open onto a deck, where you can lounge and enjoy a view of the San Francisco Peaks. The room itself is stocked with a 528 Hz sound therapy chime, a Tibetan singing bowl, color-adjustable lighting, a bluetooth speaker, Himalayan salt lamps, and comfortable soft lounge seating.

The Library has a curated and eclectic book collection — take one down and curl up on the sofa with a plush blanket.

A small workspace is available upstairs with a printer, scanner, and a view of the prairie. Let us know if you need a full-size desk chair and we'll set one up.

We have wifi available, but because of our rural location, we use a Starlink connection. Speeds are generally good, but can slow down, especially in the evening.

We don't have a TV — this is a place to unplug! You may want to download some entertainment before you arrive, just in case.

For cozy lounging, the living room has a propane fireplace — all of the ambience and none of the firewood mess!

You'll have the use of our fully-equipped kitchen and a dining space that seats 8. We have all the basic kitchen appliances, pots and pans and utensils, as well as basic seasonings, cooking oils, etc.

While we don't currently prepare a full breakfast, we do stock the fridge with a supply of our farm-fresh eggs! We also provide Seattle's Best 6th Avenue Bistro #4 Dark Roast as our all-you-care-to-caffeinate house coffee. :)

If you need to do a load of laundry, a washer and dryer are available, too.

Please don't hesitate to ask about us, our home, or the area — and if you need something out of the ordinary, let us know and we'll do our best.

We hope to see you in Northern Arizona soon! :)

Guest access
You will have private use of the entire home.

You will also have largely private use of all the outdoor spaces. The exception to this will be our daily visits to the chicken yard and the hoophouse, and to check and maintain the hot tub.

Other things to note
Please know that, unfortunately, our home is not wheelchair accessible and does require the ability to climb stairs.

Our AZ tax license number is 21470928, and our Coconino County permit number is STR-24-0961. You can sleep well, knowing that we have those! ;)

Neighborhood highlights

Our home sits on the edge of a small neighborhood in a peaceful rural setting.

By road, we are about 5 miles from Interstate 40, and the last 4 miles are county-maintained gravel. It is passable for any type of car, but sometimes has bumpy washboards and loose gravel on the surface...and your vehicle WILL get dusty on the drive.

We are about a 10-minute drive from the Parks feed store, which sells gas, and has a small convenience store. We are about a 30-minute drive from the nearest restaurants, groceries, and other services, in either Williams or Flagstaff.

Our property backs up to public land, so great hiking, biking, and wildlife watching is available right from our door. You can also drive or walk to explore other nearby options, including open prairie, small lakes, beautiful canyons, and ponderosa pine forest.
