Extra spacious

Guests love this home’s spaciousness for a comfortable stay.
Some info has been automatically translated.
Enjoy expansive views of native prairie and the San Francisco Peaks, and watch for our resident herds of pronghorn antelope and elk! The dark night skies offer incredible stargazing, best enjoyed from the relaxing hot tub or the balcony deck.

Our peaceful, rural community of Parks is 30 minutes from both Flagstaff and the old Route 66 town of Williams, less than 90 minutes from the Grand Canyon, and about an hour from Sedona.

The space
The downstairs bedroom has a comfortable king-size bed with a memory foam topper, 100% cotton sheets, and a down-alternative comforter. From the bedroom, a patio door looks out on a tiny private deck, screened by native shrubs.

The downstairs bath with rainfall shower is just outside the bedroom door. We have towels, shampoo, conditioner, soap, a hairdryer, and comfy cotton bathrobes for your use.

The hallway to this bedroom and bathroom can be screened from the living room space by a sliding privacy curtain.

The other bedrooms are upstairs.

The north bedroom has a comfortable queen-size bed with a memory foam topper, 100% cotton sheets, and a down-alternative comforter. This bedroom is the largest of the three upstairs, and has a closet for any clothing that you wish to hang up.

The east bedroom has a comfortable full-size bed, 100% cotton sheets, and a down-alternative comforter. This room has French doors that open onto the upstairs deck, where you can lounge and enjoy a view of the mountains and prairie.

The west bedroom has a comfortable queen-size sofabed, which can be made up as needed with 100% cotton sheets and a down-alternative comforter. That bedroom is also our library, so feel free to curl up on the sofa with a cozy blanket and a good book!

The upstairs bath, with rainfall shower and teak shower mat, is off the hallway, just a few steps from each bedroom door. We have towels, shampoo, conditioner, soap, a hairdryer, and comfy cotton bathrobes for your use.

You also have a small workspace available upstairs, with a printer, a scanner...and a view of the prairie. Ordinarily there is a small-ish chair at the desk to save space...but if you need to get some serious work time in, we can swap that for a standard desk chair!

We have wifi available, but because of our rural location, we use a Starlink connection. Speeds are generally good, but it can slow down, especially in the evening. We do not have a TV...so you may want to download some entertainment during the day or before you arrive!

When the weather is nice, the upstairs deck is a great place to start or end your day. We have cushy patio furniture and some blankets to keep you warm.

When it is nicest to be indoors, you can lounge in the cozy living room. If you'd like to add even more coziness, we can give you some instruction on how to safely use the propane fireplace!

You'll have the use of our fully-equipped kitchen and a dining space that seats 8. We have all the basic kitchen appliances, pots and pans and utensils, as well as basic seasonings, cooking oils, etc.

While we don't currently prepare a full breakfast...we do stock the fridge with a supply of our farm-fresh eggs! We also provide Seattle's Best 6th Avenue Bistro #4 Dark Roast as our all-you-care-to-caffeinate house coffee. :)

If you need to do a load of laundry, a washer and dryer are available, too.

When renting the home for more than a few days, please know that we will need to enter the home once or twice a week for essential housekeeping, plant watering, etc. We will coordinate these visits with you!

Last...please ask if you have any questions at all -- about us, our home, or the area. If you need something out of the ordinary -- let us know and we will try to help! We are always happy to help you plan your stay.

We hope to see you in Northern Arizona soon! :)

Guest access
You will have private use of the entire home, including the bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and the living room, kitchen, dining area, and laundry room.

You will also have largely private use of all the outdoor spaces. The only exception to this will be our daily visits to the chicken yard and the hoophouse, and to check and maintain the hot tub as needed.

Other things to note
Please know that, unfortunately, our home is not wheelchair accessible, and does require the ability to climb stairs.

Last...our AZ tax license number is 21470928, and our Coconino County permit number is STR-24-0961. You can sleep well, knowing that we have those! ;)

Neighborhood highlights

Our home sits on the edge of a small neighborhood in a peaceful rural setting.

By road, we are about 5 miles from Interstate 40, and the last 4 miles are county-maintained gravel. It is passable for any type of car, but sometimes has bumpy washboards and loose gravel on the surface...and your vehicle WILL get dusty on the drive.

We are about a 10-minute drive from the Parks feed store, which sells gas, and has a small convenience store. We are about a 30-minute drive from the nearest restaurants, groceries, and other services, in either Williams or Flagstaff.

Our property backs up to public land, so great hiking, biking, and wildlife watching is available right from our door. You can also drive or walk to explore other nearby options, including open prairie, small lakes, beautiful canyons, and ponderosa pine forest.
