Cozy, private, furnished lake retreat with electric fireplace & HVAC. Beautiful sunrise/sunset views of Angle Lake, skylights throughout. Minutes from SeaTac airport & light rail. One bedroom, full kitchen, living & dining area, laundry room & free parking. Cook your meals in an open kitchen. Free coffee, assorted teas, oatmeal, popcorn, more. Comcast internet w/8 hour backup battery. DirecTV. Short walk to Angle Lake Park. Grill on your private deck. Hosts happy to recommend restaurants, golf.
The space
This guest unit is next to us (not below, like a duplex) with a key deadbolt lock for your security. You will enjoy private access and privacy with no one walking above you. We do not park our cars in the garage below the guest unit and rarely open the garage door. We do have a freezer and Washer & Dryer in the garage area we occasionally access. There are interior door locks on your bedroom and bathroom for extra privacy.
Located close to the freeways (I-5 and 509) for easy access to neighborhoods in the Seattle/Tacoma area. About a mile to the Angle Lake Light Rail Station. The local YMCA (with a heated swimming pool) is about a 4-5 block walk, (same distance to the Angle Lake Park entrance). Just a 10 minute drive to a large shopping mall with theater (Westfield Southcenter) and 12 minutes to Costco (Tukwila).
We want your stay to be enjoyable. Feel free to contact us with any questions before and/or during your stay. We will do our best to accommodate your requests (e.g. early or late check-in, holding luggage). Free coffee, assorted teas, oatmeal, popcorn, and more. Val cooks healthy & gluten-free and may surprise you with a delicious treat or two. Feel free to use any seasonal greens or herbs growing in the garden planter box.
Guest access
All indoor areas and your private deck are easily accessible. You can access the lake by going down the back set of stairs with railing right off your deck (or out the front door, down the driveway and through the gates).
If you would like to swim, use our kayaks, canoe or paddle board, just ask. We have some life jackets in varying sizes and paddles for our boats. Guests will need to sign our liability waiver before swimming or boating on our property. See "Other things to note" for more information.

Lake access is only available after guests sign a liability waiver.
You can sit on a log or chair by the lake, lay on our sandy beach on a beach towel, and use our firepit (we have lighters, just ask).
Many guests enjoy watching the planes land at SeaTac Airport at night from the deck.
You may see Val's older brother Andy who has Asperger's (friendly, high functioning form of Autism) walking in the fenced back yard or taking a swim/dip before dinner (in the summer).
Or you can walk to Angle Lake Park and use the public beach, boat dock, water park, picnic facilities, etc.

Neighborhood highlights
Angle Lake Manor is a neighborhood of all ages and cultures with an association that has monthly meetings, so most of us know each other. We have a neighborhood watch program and fun activities throughout the year (Polar Plunge, Easter, Fishing Derby, 4th of July, etc.). You will probably see neighbors weeding/watering their yards or walking around the neighborhood that will give you a wave or friendly hello.
SeaTac is located between Seattle and Tacoma. near Burien, Normandy Park, Des Moines, Kent, Tukwila, Renton and Federal Way.
The closest shopping mall is Westfield Southcenter (17 minute drive) which includes an Apple Store, Victoria Secret, Fireworks Gallery, Container Store, Ben & Jerry's, Build-A-Bear, Disney Store, Eddie Bauer, Nordstrom, Penneys, Macy's and many more. Also in or near the mall is Round 1 Bowling, AMC Southcenter 16 (16 theaters, some with Dolby Cinema, IMAX and 3D) and iFLY Indoor Skydiving .

I live on Angle Lake with my husband Bob (retired) and other family members. I enjoy photography, restoring vintage art digitally, making family videos and healthy cooking. I am a caregiver for my older brother who has Asperger's Syndrome. I am gluten-free and love food of all cuisines . I used to raise miniature poodle puppies (we still puppy sit sometimes). I also enjoy gardening, kayaking, studying Hebrew, visiting with friends and going for walks.
