5-minute walk from Akahira station!
Akahira City is a small town that once prospered from coal mining, located midway between Sapporo, Asahikawa, and Furano.
It's a 5-minute walk to a supermarket and a 100-yen shop. There are few restaurants, but they are also within walking distance, so it is convenient to go out to eat or cook in the kitchen using Hokkaido ingredients.

[GUEST HOUSE Kanachanchi]
This is your second home.
Live an ordinary life, not an extraordinary one, in this small town that is said to have "nothing".
Please try such a "special" experience.

It's not flashy. It's not convenient.
But it's somehow relaxing.
It's like visiting a friend's house or visiting a relative's house.
That kind of time is waiting.

If you look at the photos, you'll get a good idea of most of the house, so please take a look.

***

The bedroom is a locked guest room, but the living room, kitchen, bathroom and toilet are shared with other guests.
We are renovating little by little, so it may be a little different from the photos.
We would appreciate it if you could tell us what you need, what information you need, and what concerns you have in order to make it a good place to stay.

The space
Your room is "Room 2".

The room was originally a Japanese-style room with tatami mats, and was renovated by DIY.
The walls and ceiling are pure white, and the chandelier makes it a fluffy, warm room.
***
The windows and doors still have an old feel, and the floor creaks a little. It is hot in summer and cold in winter.
If you think of it as "atmosphere"...
You can use one room by yourself, so you can relax and enjoy it.

Guest access
Everything except the storage room on the first floor is available for use.

During your stay
★ I respect your privacy, so I don’t enter your space. Please enjoy your time here!

★ If you need anything, feel free to ask me. I’m happy to help!

★I’m a big fan of beer, coffee, Yakiniku, and sweets!
I know some good spots in Akabira — cafes, snack bars. If you want, I can tell you. If you invite me too, I’m very happy to join (if I’m not working)!
But be careful — this is a small town. If I go eat with a handsome guest, people talk very fast.
So in that case, let’s ask more people and go together!

★ I work as a freelancer, so sometimes I may be busy with work. Please check with me when you make a booking.

About the room

* You can hear the sound of the car and the sound of the kerosene pump.

* The sound of the floor is loud because it is an old house. You can hear other rooms as well. You can also hear the sound of your room next door. Please don't be too loud.

* You may also be concerned about the light from the outside.
* There is a simple air conditioner in the bedroom for windows, but it is not in the living room, so it gets hot in the summer.

* If you open the window with the light on at night in the summer, a lot of small insects come in.When it's hot, you need to use the air conditioner, and when opening the windows at night, you need to turn off the main lights and wait a while.

[About cleaning]

* I think this house is your house, please put it back if you use it, and clean it when dirty.

* Common areas will be cleaned by me.But if you're staying for days, you'll need to clean up after yourself.

* If you don't have enough towels or sheets, please do your own laundry and use them. We'll give you a spare when you need it.

* There is a trash can on the first floor, so be sure to sort it according to the rules of this town. Please ask me if you can't.

[About the kitchen]

* Please feel free to use the furniture, appliances, dishes, etc. in the living room. Please wash and put back the dishes you used.

* You can also use the refrigerator, but please fill in your name on your own when there are other customers.

* Feel free to use dishes, cooking utensils, etc., but it is not fully equipped with condiments and cooking utensils.

* Never pour oil and starch into the drain.

Other items

* It is a house in a shopping street.Be mindful of your neighbors, say hello to other guests and neighbors, and make each other feel good.

* There is still a lot of renovation in the process.

* There is a washing machine, but there is no dryer, so you need to dry it naturally in your own room. That's why we don't recommend using the washing machine for just one night.

* This house is non-smoking.Please go outside when you smoke and don't put garbage on the road.

* This house is stuck to the next house. One male old man lives next door.Don't be noisy at night.

* Because it is in the shopping street, you may be concerned about the sound of the surrounding area.

* There is a rail behind the house, so you can hear the train passing by.

* The owner has a cat in another house, so cat hair may fall off in the house. Please refrain from being allergic to cats.

* We use general detergent, softener, fragrance, disinfectant spray, etc., so please note that if you have allergies such as chemical sensitivities.

* If you come by car, you can park in the parking lot of the shopping street behind the house. However, please note that we are not responsible for any accidents that occur in the parking lot.

* Parking is unavailable in winter because it is covered with snow.Guests arriving by car are not allowed to stay at the property.

* Because it is a small city, there are not many restaurants. If you have a place you want to visit, we encourage you to check your opening date and time in advance and book it.

Hello!I am Kana, who moved to Akahira City, Hokkaido, because I like coal mining heritage. I now live with my husband and two cats. That's why my little inn is for guests only. I am a freelance translator and I am also involved in activities related to coal mining heritage. I like to travel, and my hobby is to explore domestic and international industrial heritage. I bought the house and made it a small inn because I wanted many people to see the heritage of Akabira's coal mines, and I wanted to use a lot of shops in the city. We hope that this small inn can connect the people of the city, the people outside, and the coal mine heritage. I'm a bit of a stranger and I'm not good at speaking English. However, we will do our best to communicate using translation sites! I'd love if you could talk to me in simple English. My favorite foods are beer, coffee, grilled meat, and sweets.
