This is one of the few places in the area with free parking.

prepare yourself...

there's no kitchen. no bathroom. no hot water. no tap water. no electricity (although you can recharge your power bank in the solar panel on top of the hill).

the noises are from barking dogs, crickets and some cars on the road, a few of which love to horn.

there's also a lot of mosquitos and flies, during the summer.

finally, there's a refundable deposit *required*.

you will love it, guaranteed! or you can have your money back.

The space
there's the trailer in the sun, on the summer it gets very hot inside, so it's better to move away to other spaces during the day.

there's the meadow among the trees, very fresh for summer time, not many insects there.

a cold shower, hanging from the tree, 10L that needs manual refill. teaches a lot about saving water.

there's the tent on the tree shadow, to get away from the mosquitos.

a compost toilet, without any walls. it's better to wait stop raining before using it. it doesn't rain that much anyway, although it's enough to refill the water source and small river, every year.

and... there are 20 hectares (that's 200k m2, or 20 soccer fields) of mostly isolated green, explored mostly by the 10 cows living in it.

the space is to be explored by our regenerative project!

you can access everything, except the land owners house. probably. you'll have to take to them. i personally never bothered to ask, i'm great where i am. ;-)

Other things to note
fire. during the summer, there are the fires, all over portugal. you must be extra careful with any potential hazard that can light up a flame. absolutely no smoking allowed! also not inside the house or on the premises, even during winter. this a smoking free zone.

Where you’ll be

Vila Real, Portugal

it's mostly wild nature around, for more than 1km radius. there are 2 roads, but even the big one is farther away, doesn't have many cars and hardly brings in any noise.

1km in any direction of the close and smaller road will lead to a village. both have population of less than 500 people, very small villages. the biggest town around is 12km away or 15 minutes by car. vila real. where you can find everything from a regular city, 50k people there.

there are no wild animals, this is no reserve. it's just a well placed spot in the country side, with a few hills and views, a cold of water sources less than 200m of easy walk, both very cold and one of them inside the property, completely isolated and usable for getting in, even when the river dries out on the summer!

lots of wild cherries you can eat. and lots of land waiting to be taken care, planted, using ernst gotsch teachings on syntrophic agroforestry.
