Modern, well-appointed cabin built for easy mountain living. Outside: fenced yard with shaded patio sofa, fire table, BBQ, and outdoor dining. Inside: Alexa Echo, drip coffee + moka pot espresso, stocked spice rack, dishwasher, in-unit washer/dryer. Master bedroom bedsides have AC & USB power outlets. Enjoy Roku TVs (Guest Mode), playing an 80s era arcade machine (Ms. Pac-Man, Galaga & more), viewing our Bald Eagle live-stream and playing unique games and activities for kids of all ages.

The space
This modernized Chalet is perfect for two couples and couples with children. Bedroom 1 (The Master Suite) is adjacent to a bathroom with shower and also adjacent to Bedroom 2 ("The Bunk Room") which has a double bed and a bunk bed with two twin beds and a 1980s-era Arcade Game. The Bunk Room also has an HDTV with HDMI and a DVD-player.The Junior Master Suite has more privacy and is in the rear of the house. It has an En Suite Bathroom and Shower. The Jr Master Suite also has a 50" Roku TV (set to "Guest Mode" for your safety and convenience).

Each bedroom has:
(1) Nighlights that double as flashlights in the event of a power outage.
(2) Powerstrips on each side of the bed for three-prong AC outlets and USB outlets for your safety and convenience.
(3) Each bedroom has an overhead fan and light; remotes are mounted on the wall by the entry.

Guest access
The entire property. The key from lock box is good for every exterior door in the house.

Other things to note
Big Bear has occasional POWER OUTAGES. They do not usually last very long.

The FIREPLACE has a gas starter and wood is provided to keep your warm.

In the hallway EMERGENCY CLOSET there are two LANTERNS that have up to 50+ hours of illumination. There are spare batteries on the shelf.

Night Light in each bedroom also functions as a FLASHLIGHT with about six hours of illumination on a single charge.

A SPARE BATTERY-POWERED FLASHLIGHT is on the shelf in the emergency closet.

3-days of FOOD RATIONS for TWO as well as water and warm blankets are also available in the event of a longer emergency.

Finally, there is a hand-cranked, solar-powered NOAA EMERGENCY RADIO for information updates, if needed.

FIRE EXTINGUISHERS: One Standard Fire Extinguisher is in the Emergency Closet. A second KITCHEN fire extinguisher (for grease fires) is under the Kitchen Sink Cabinet.

There are Smoke Detectors throughout the Chalet and, additionally, there are two Carbon Monoxide Detectors at both ends of the Living Room.
