Remy's Retreat has everything for a perfect Surfside trip — firepit for s'mores, charcoal grill for cookouts, a bunk room the kids will claim immediately, and ocean views from the porch swing.

The space
The beach is literally a two-minute walk — grab your towels and go. Evenings are made for the firepit and charcoal grill, perfect for cookouts under the stars after a long day in the sun. The kids get their own bunk room while the grown-ups claim the queen bedroom — everyone wins. Sip your morning coffee from the covered porch and soak in the ocean views from the porch swing. The splash pad, park, and fishing spot are all within easy walking distance, so the fun doesn't stop at the sand. Pets are welcome too — no one gets left behind. And with self check-in, vacation starts the second you pull in the driveway.


BEDROOM 1 - A comfy queen bed, 42" Smart TV, closet, and fan. After a long beach day, this is your place to decompress while the kids are passed out in the bunk room next door.

BEDROOM 2 - the kids' room: Two sets of twin bunk beds (sleeps 4 kids comfortably), their own 42" Smart TV, closet, and fan. Kids tend to claim this room immediately.

BATHROOM 1 - fresh and fully stocked: A full bath with shower, sink, and everything you need to rinse off the beach — shampoo, conditioner, and body wash all provided. Clean, simple, and ready to go.

BATHROOM 2 - A convenient half bath with washer and dryer tucked in. Perfect for mid-trip laundry so you can pack light and leave the sandy towels behind.

KITCHEN - Fully stocked and family-ready: Everything you need to cook real meals — full stove, microwave, coffee maker, and all the pots, pans, and utensils. Great for feeding a hungry crew after a beach day. Note: no dishwasher, but dish soap and a drying rack are provided.

LIVING & DINING ROOM - A wide-open, light-filled space with a big sectional couch, 47" Smart TV, and a dining table big enough for the whole crew. Books, card games, and puzzles are stocked for rainy days or late nights when the kids still have energy. Open concept, tons of natural light, and just the right amount of cozy.

Heads up: like most of Surfside, we recommend using bottled water for drinking and cooking. We stock a few bottles to get you started — just grab more at the nearby convenience store or HEB on your way in.

Other things to note
* Any tampering or disabling of the security camera will result in a cancellation of your booking without a refund.
* No large parties and no smoking on property. Smoking will result in a $500 fine.
* Mosquitos love Surfside! Especially during the summer time. Please make sure to pack appropriate bug spray for you and your guests!

Heads up: like most of Surfside, we recommend using bottled water for drinking and cooking.

Surfside is one of the most underrated family beach towns on the Texas Gulf Coast — laid-back, uncrowded, and packed with stuff for kids to do. Walk 2 minutes and you're on the sand. Walk a little further and you hit the splash pad and Jetty Park, which has a playground, picnic benches, walking trails, and public restrooms — perfect for a morning with little ones. Bring fishing poles for the bay side, or rent beach bikes and golf carts to cruise the island at your own pace. It's the kind of beach trip where the kids sleep hard and the parents actually relax.

Hello world of Airbnb! Originally from a small town outside of Houston, I moved to the Austin to pursue a career in the marketing industry and provide my children with a better education and life. I enjoy the outdoors, books, and food! :) My ideal vacation day would begin by hiking a nature trail with my kids and my husband to watch the sunrise and see some of God's amazing artwork, then sipping margaritas on the beach with my friends, reading and napping in the sun while listening to the waves hit the sand, finally ending the day with a delicious dinner with all of those named above! A week in my life would include naps, trail running, softball, movies, books and fellowship with friends and family. Looking forward to meeting you.
