Your family’s Big Bear retreat awaits you! Tucked away in a quiet, forested hillside neighborhood with stunning views of Bear Valley ski resort and mountains. Just a short drive from Los Angeles, Big Bear Lake offers endless outdoor recreation and a laid-back mountain lifestyle. You can go skiing in the winter and have abundant hiking opportunities in the summer and fall.

The space
We are licensed to host up to 11 total guests including a maximum of 10 adults. Maximum cars parked at the property is four (4).

Mountain View Villa has all the cozy comforts of an upscale mountain cabin and all the luxuries of a modern home. The Villa is located just minutes away from Bear Mountain Ski Resort, the Moonridge Golf Course, Big Bear Zoo and has easy access to Big Bear Lake, Village shops, restaurants, grocery stores, and hiking trails. It’s a great home base for hiking, skiing, snowboarding, rock climbing, swimming, paddle boarding, jet skiing and all your other mountain and lake activities.

The Villa has everything you need for the getaway you deserve. An open concept living space, a fully stocked gourmet kitchen, four tranquil bedrooms, three flat screen TVs throughout the house equipped with Roku streaming media players (Netflix, Hulu, Prime, HBO, …), fast WiFi (over 200 Mbps download), EV charger, a game room complete with foosball, air hockey and a poker table, multiple outdoor decks with gorgeous views, a hot tub, Weber propane BBQ grill, sitting areas, an outdoor playground for the kids and a fully fenced backyard for your dogs.

DRIVEWAYS: There are two driveways each one fitting two cars for a total of four cars. The driveway in front of the property (original driveway) is steep. The driveway in the backside of the property (new driveway) is flat. There is no street parking allowed. The main front door is at the end of the original driveway and up two flights of stairs. However, the access to the house is very convenient from the backside/new driveway which leads in to the spa deck through one flight of stairs down and then through a double door to the main level of the building. If you have difficulty managing stairs, our backside/new entrance is much better suited for you.

PET POLICY: We only allow dogs. A maximum of 2 dogs at a time, please! Maximum dog weight of each dog is 55 pounds. We do require a $50 per dog non-refundable pet fee + applicable transient taxes.

Guests with dogs are asked to please respect the comfort and safety of other guests, both during and after your stay. For this reason, we ask that you please follow these guidelines during your stay with us. Extra cleaning fees will be charged for furniture, blankets, comforters,

• Clean up after your dog, in the backyard, front yard or around the property lines.
• Do not allow dogs on furniture or beds. It is also helpful to bring something (bed, blanket, etc.) on which you know your pet will be comfortable sleeping. Many pets are used to being allowed on furniture and beds at their own home, but this is not allowed in our house. Please, bring any kennel or special bedding your pet may enjoy with this is mind.
• Groom your dog prior to their stay in the cottage, particularly if it is a breed prone to shedding. Pet hair can be difficult to remove.
• Don’t leave your dog unattended. A crate is ideal for those situations in which you must leave. You are responsible for any damages your pet causes.
• Do your best to clean and dry your dog after a walk.
• Do not allow dogs in the hot tub or bathe your dog in the bathrooms. Several local groomers offer pet bathing services and we would be happy to help you coordinate an appointment with one!
• Ensure that your dog’s medications and immunizations are up-to-date prior to your stay, especially flea treatment.

EV CHARGER POLICY: Guests should reserve our Level-2 EV charger in advance, and pay for a charging session ahead of time. Here are the rates: $23 for a 6-hours session or $40 for a 12-hours session.

HILLSIDE LOCATION: There are stairs to get from the driveways to the entrance doors. The bottom driveway is steep. The top driveway is flat. Our property may not be suitable for people with mobility challenges.

TODDLER/BABY FURNITURE: There is a toddler safety gate and two toddler highchairs and a Pack & Play portable playard in the closet of one of the upstairs bedrooms.
