Group Size & Celebrations

Mountain Lakeside is thoughtfully designed for intimate to mid-sized gatherings and comfortably accommodates up to 16 overnight guests across six beautifully appointed bedrooms and 2 pullout queen sofas (that are not located in private areas). This is our standard maximum for most stays, helping preserve the peaceful guest experience, exceptional property condition, and quiet enjoyment of our lakefront neighborhood.

For gatherings beyond our standard overnight occupancy, advance approval is required. Larger celebration’s may involve a signed Celebration Addendum, Celebration Preparation Fee, enhanced pre- and post-celebration servicing, parking coordination, and additional requirements depending on the size and scope of the gathering.

For families planning larger celebrations, our second six-bedroom lakefront home on Lake Shannondale may also be available, allowing for expanded accommodations and a truly exceptional multi-home experience.

We’re always happy to discuss options and help create something unforgettable.

Guest access
The entire property is available to you during your stay. The Hot Tub, Dock, and all spaces of the residence are for your use.

There are 2 Ring systems, one at each main entrance. Both cameras record video and sound. They are doorbell cameras, outside the home and facing the driveway. They are there to assist with guest check in, deliveries, and for security when no guests are present.

Other things to note
Our home sits in a peaceful lakefront community, and we take great care to preserve that tranquility for everyone. Please review these important guidelines before booking:

• Respect the Quiet: Sound travels easily across the water. Outdoor music is fine at a moderate level, but no amplified or DJ-style systems. County ordinance requires outdoor quiet hours from 10 PM–6 AM. Feel free to enjoy music indoors anytime.

• Age & Booking: Guests must be 25+ to book, and the person booking must be present during the stay.

• Pets Welcome: Dogs are allowed (please confirm other pets). We provide an XL crate and paw towels—just keep pets off furniture.

• Comfort Systems: Dual HVAC zones with Nest thermostats, plus 2 pellet, 2 wood, and 1 gas fireplace available for use. One decorative fireplace is nonfunctional in the art gallery.

• Smoking & Substances: No smoking indoors—$500/day fine for violations. Illegal drug use will be reported.

• Water & Septic: The home uses well water and septic. Please don’t flush wipes, feminine products, or paper towels, and avoid pouring grease down drains.

Spa services can be arranged directly at your Luxury retreat. Massages, pedicures, and manicures await you to ensure you are pampered properly. Note: We do not add any markup to spa services or other concierge benefits, you pay the actual costs. Tips to your professionals are appreciated but not required.

Test your luck at the Hollywood Casino at Charles Town Races, only 18 minutes from your rental. This location offers a casino, a number of eateries, and a horse racing track.

During warm weather months the River Riders Family Adventure Resort, also 20 minutes away, offers treetop obstacle courses, zip lining and tubing or rafting on the Shenandoah and Potomac Rivers.
