Little Burstead is a village and civil parish in the Basildon district of Essex, England. It is situated 2 miles south of Billericay and 4 miles east of Brentwood. The population of the village at the 2011 census was 395. Little Burstead is small and quiet with a village green, a church and a pub (The Duke's Head). The village is surrounded by countryside, and there are several walking and cycling trails in the area. The village has a long history, and it was mentioned in the Domesday Book of 1086. The church, St Mary's, is a Grade I listed building that dates back to the 12th century.
