Vacation rentals in Grímannsfell

My stay at the cabin was straight from a fairytale book. I was a solo traveller & absolutely loved the space. I can imagine it being filled with a family but if you’re alone, you should also visit! It’s the perfect escape. I stayed in December when there was only a few hours daylight, so I found my way there in the dark. The instructions were very clear and it was easy to find. When I woke the next day and saw it in the light it was beautiful. Everything was easy to use, from the hot tub to the kitchen having everything you could need. Although I drove, I changed my plans when I saw how much was close by and hiked to Helgafell (so easy to get to). You could definitely base yourself there and not travel far, as there’s a handy guide to what’s close by too! I also travelled south & to the golden circle which was all easy from this base. Beautiful home and location. Quiet, peaceful, and close to town for groceries. Loved stargazing with open sky and no light pollution. Hot tub was great. Communication with host was very easy, quick response. We would stay here again.

The house was clean and tidy. The description and pictures were very accurate and the views from the back porch were amazing. Alfa and Finnur were very easy to communicate with and left very clear notes and expectations. We would definitely stay here again.

Great overall, everything one needs. Would recommend! The floor heating, whirlpool and privacy were definitely the Highlights. The moon shines very bright right into the cabin and it was hard to see any polar lights. Just for your information, nothing the hosts can do about it :D

We had an excellent experience at Kristin’s place! It was warm and welcoming, and the perfect basecamp for our adventures of Iceland. She helped recommend restaurants and excursions. This home was conveniently located between Reykjavik, golden circle, Vik, and other areas we explored. We were lucky enough to see the beautiful Northern Lights 3 out of our 4 night stay. Bonus was being able to see them from the warmth of the hot tub. All around exceeded expectations and hope to book here again in the future!

The views out of every window were very beautiful. We were able to see the Northern lights (although faint only that night). It was very cozy and super clean

We enjoyed a delightful seven-night stay in this enchanting wooden house, perfectly situated in a tranquil and scenic area embraced by nature's beauty. Just a 25-minute drive from Selfoss, it proved to be an ideal starting point for discovering the marvels of the Golden Circle. The house itself is beautifully furnished, well-equipped, and exceptionally comfortable. Visiting in December, we were captivated by the winter landscape, and despite the frigid temperatures outside, we felt wonderfully warm and cozy inside. Johanna was exceptionally attentive and always quick to respond whenever we had questions or needed assistance. Should I return to Iceland, this house will undoubtedly be my first choice.

Very nice place, comfortable and cozy, had everything. It was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. the location was unbeatable, next to all the tourist attractions in the area. I recommend it.

Beautiful cabin close to the lovely town of Selfoss. Hot tub was amazing to relax in after a day of exploring. Great spot for so many of Icelands attractions.
