Vacation rentals with lake access in Great Barrington

What an amazing picturesque home nestled amongst tall pine trees with a gorgeous lake in the back. This home should be used in holiday cards. We stayed for thanksgiving and the home offered everything you could possibly need to enjoy with family. Kitchen was clean, bathrooms pristine and very comfortable beds. Can’t wait to book it again in the very near future.

Lovely city escape! The location on the small Onderdonk lake was great. We used the kayaks that were provided and had a great time. The host, Don, is very responsive and friendly. He gave us some farm fresh eggs that we cooked up for breakfast one morning. The gas BBQ was also a hit. The big TV came in handy for movie night.

Wonderful, attentive, and responsive hosts! Their home is in a beautiful location, with views of/ access to the lake. We would love to come back.

Scott hosted my friends and I in a beautiful home on the water. We enjoyed water sport activities, even in November! We were 10 minutes away from New Paltz and 10 minutes away from hiking spots! The house was east to locate, check-in to, and Scott communicated very effectively. We were even granted late check-out! The house was very charming, well-stocked, and clean. One of my favorite touches was the “pet essentials” corner. Scott provided our pup with a bed, food bowls, and a leash - very thoughtful! His rules are clearly explained and easy to follow. I would definitely recommend a stay at Scott’s and would love to return next time I’m looking to stay in the area.

Anne Marie's place was exactly what we were looking for! It is extremely well stocked, with everything you might need, from kitchen appliances, extra blankets, many towels, etc. The surroundings were gorgeous and the area is very quiet and peaceful. Anne Marie was friendly and very responsive, answering questions quickly and flexibly. We can't wait to come back!

Beautiful location in Otis, right on the lake and so peaceful. The house is very spacious and easily accommodated our family ( 7 adults and 2 children). All the windows in the house provided great views of the lake, especially from the deck. Our host Nick was very responsive when we had questions or any concerns. Would be nice to come for a stay during the summer.

A group of 12 stayed in the Airbnb for 3 nights to celebrate New Years Eve and we had a great stay!! The check-in and check-out process was super easy. The home was clean, organized, and had plenty of space to comfortably accommodate 12 people. Many loved the hot tub! The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful, perfect for relaxing. It is about 30 minutes to local areas with restaurants and bars. The host was very responsive and communicated all the important details, making our stay hassle-free. Highly recommend! Perfect for a group trip!

Very peaceful! Space was comfortable and it was nice to have a relaxing getaway and take a step back from work. Can’t wait to book again in the summer and take full advantage of what the lake has to offer! Lauren was an excellent host and very communicative.

Staying at Lilian's place was pleasurable. It was clean, everything matched the description, and the furniture and kitchen were in very good condition. Amanda was very responsive and helpful with recommendations, and she was also very pleasant to work with. We definitely highly recommend Lilian's place.

This place was amazing, exactly like the photos. Whatever cleaning service they use is pristine, it felt like everything was brand new out of the box, not even a fuzz or spec in the bathroom or kitchen. I really appreciated that. The backyard is huge, and a nice unexpected surprise. It’s extremely private and dark at night so recommend getting there during daylight. Hudson is less than 20 mins away and there are great little spots like local 111 in the neighborhood. Had a lot of cooking dishware, also very appreciated. Over all absolutely loved my stay and will absolutely be booking again!

My fiancé, our dog, and I stayed here for a quiet NYE staycation. We stayed for two nights and absolutely loved it. The space was very clean and accurate to the pictures posted on the listing. There was another family with a dog who was staying in the main house at the same time we were, however, we never really heard them. Our favorite part was the bottle of red wine from Millbrook Winery left on the kitchen table for us. We always appreciate a personal touch from an Airbnb hose! We hope to be back soon!

This setting on the lake is just stunning! The large, hilly yard has the most gorgeous view, visible also from inside the apartment and from the lovely deck. I came here to celebrate my 50th birthday and it couldn’t have been more wonderful. Laurie even gave me a delicious little birthday cake. The amenities are luxurious, the decor is so tasteful and every cupboard is beautifully organized. Highly recommended. Hope we can return!

A quiet and pretty spot right on the river. Very nicely appointed and well kept. The perfect base for everything there is to do in the area in winter or summer.

We only had a short stay, but John was a great help letting us check in early - they clearly love their home and the town, offering annotated menus of local restaurants and info on many natural features to visit in the area. Delightful decor, many many plants, plenty of linens available, no shortage of room to lounge and relax. Parking was a cinch, checkout directions were clear and simple. Would stay again.

We loved our stay at Theresa's place. Her home had everything we needed and we were cozy and comfortable. Theresa is a very responsive and accommodating host as well.

The place was wonderful. Very charming and homey, spotless with all the amenities and conveniences you could need. The information included in Joe’s binder gave great recommendations for meals and attractions within easy driving distance. We had never traveled to that area before and found the local scenery beautiful. Thanks for a lovely experience!

Hudson is a great town for finding some fancy meals. Tom had helpful local guides that he had laminated, and as a result we enjoyed a few delightful meals that ended with Crème Brûlée. We took the kayaks out a bit on the creek, the Hudson was a bit too choppy. House has many wonderful modern amenities, the Nest thermostat was super cool. The one thing that I should have expected, but did not, was the duck hunters. There were a lot of gunshots in the area but it is that time of year and it’s a very popular area for hunting. Tom’s place is practically perfect, peaceful and remote but 10 minutes away from a super cool town or beautiful scenery or skiing. Really you can have it all.

Our stay was amazing! The host was more than helpful! Flexible and always responsive, I didn’t need anything else, everything was provided, a very beautiful and cozy kitchen, well equipped, the living room is so cozy! It’s definitely my to go to spot! My husband, our two elderly parents and I stayed at Oriole Cottage with our young dog during a winter break. Cheryl had been Hannah really friendly and proactive in their communications with us, and when we arrived we found Oriole Cottage cheerful, warm, clean, and with good bedding (fluffy duvets and quite comfortable beds). The living/dining area and kitchen are bright, nice and sunny. We found the kitchen very well appointed, and we each enjoyed the different coffee-making choices available to us (French press, drip, Nespresso etc)… something to suit everyone’s taste. Bathrooms had good hot water and shower pressure (!) Overall, the cottage is a sunny, warm, comfortable and clean place to stay. We’d love to return during a summer month when we can try kayaking and all the activities of a summer lakeside stay.

I can’t say enough positive things about Daniel’s place. The setting was beautiful and serene; It was so quiet and peaceful we almost felt like it was our own private lake! The house was lovely and so tastefully and uniquely decorated. All the windows gave a constant view of the lake. There are many quaint towns to explore within a 30 minute drive, but you may want to spend most of your time enjoying the lake and kayak. We hope to return in the summer.

Staying at Sonya’s house was an amazing experience! The house is very clean, updated, quiet and had everything we needed! I highly recommend staying at the cottage on the lake. The porch was an extra spot that the sun shined all day! It truly was a beautiful weekend!

The views of the lake and fall foliage during our stay were breathtaking! The full moon rising over the lake was stunning too. The deck and living areas all offered amazing light and views. The kitchen was great and we ate most meals there but also enjoyed Zucchini and Proprietors Lodge restaurants nearby. Location was ideal for day trips north and south to Mt Greylock, N Adams, Lenox, and Great Barrington. It was a wonderful stay for us and we’d love to return.

Absolutely lovely place and Maria was a great host. her cottage is a little piece of heaven by the lake. at night you can watch the stars when you have a clear sky. we visited there during the Fall season and the fall colors all around were amazing. the cottage itself is very comfortable and cozy and we felt right at home. the kitchen was well-stocked and we cooked a couple of meals there too. Maria was also very responsive and her kindness and warmth showed through her communications.
