Vacation rentals with lake access in Great Barrington

Madhav's home was the perfect weekend family getaway for our annual Thanksgiving trip. We enjoyed the peaceful lake surroundings and walking around the neighborhood. Even though it was a cold weekend, there were plenty of activities to do inside and outside the home. The kitchen was well stocked with supplies. There was plenty of space for our group and one dog. We enjoyed the selection of board games. Thank you for a great stay!

What an amazing picturesque home nestled amongst tall pine trees with a gorgeous lake in the back. This home should be used in holiday cards. We stayed for thanksgiving and the home offered everything you could possibly need to enjoy with family. Kitchen was clean, bathrooms pristine and very comfortable beds. Can’t wait to book it again in the very near future.

This Airbnb was more beautiful in person than the photos. We absolutely loved it! The details to robes, towels, etc made it feel more like a hotel. So spacey and relaxing. Communication with the host was seamless and we had no issues. Last thing to note is that Ubers are hard to get especially later in the night so I’d recommend getting a rental car.

Wonderful, attentive, and responsive hosts! Their home is in a beautiful location, with views of/ access to the lake. We would love to come back.

Anne Marie’s place is outstanding. Everything was exactly as described in the listing. The space was impeccably clean, and the kitchen was exceptionally well stocked. The hot tub was a wonderful touch—spotlessly clean and very well maintained. The views were stunning from every angle, whether you were on the porch, around the fire pit, or by the barbecue area on the side of the house. Wherever you were outdoors, the scenery was beautiful, and there was plenty of space for kids to play and explore. Anne Marie was an amazing host—very responsive, kind, and generous.

We stayed here for a relaxed bachelorette / girls' trip for two nights. The bride was hoping for a view of water and water access. She got what she was hoping for and more! We booked the trip fairly last minute so we were extremely grateful to have found this place which checked all our boxes and at a reasonable cost. The weather was perfect so we spent a lot of time on the deck and by the water. We also used the hot tub both days. The house felt bigger than it looked in the pictures! The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen made it very easy to cook for ourselves. The outdoor space is beautiful. Arlen and Danny responded very quickly when we had a couple questions. Beautiful location in Otis, right on the lake and so peaceful. The house is very spacious and easily accommodated our family ( 7 adults and 2 children). All the windows in the house provided great views of the lake, especially from the deck. Our host Nick was very responsive when we had questions or any concerns. Would be nice to come for a stay during the summer.

We had a great time staying at the house with lots of things and games for the little ones to do as well as for the adults. The highlight was making s’mores on the fire pit. The house is very clean and decor is beautiful. Rosane is very responsive. We will come back to visit.

Staying at Lilian's place was pleasurable. It was clean, everything matched the description, and the furniture and kitchen were in very good condition. Amanda was very responsive and helpful with recommendations, and she was also very pleasant to work with. We definitely highly recommend Lilian's place.

Michelle’s apartment is so lovely! Situated perfectly in town and also on a lake. Check in was simple and everything was great. Would highly recommend!

Very clean, no clutter, had all what we needed. The place accepts dogs yet there was not a trace of dirt, hair, or scent to indicate that there were former dogs staying there. It was pristine. Steven was friendly, responded quickly, and accommodated our request. everything went smoothly. Very pleased!

This setting on the lake is just stunning! The large, hilly yard has the most gorgeous view, visible also from inside the apartment and from the lovely deck. I came here to celebrate my 50th birthday and it couldn’t have been more wonderful. Laurie even gave me a delicious little birthday cake. The amenities are luxurious, the decor is so tasteful and every cupboard is beautifully organized. Highly recommended. Hope we can return!

Great stay!!! Was impeccably cleaned and perfect location between rhinebeck, pine plains and close to the taconic! Arlene was super helpful with all questions and provided new sheets and towels through our stay. Would definitely stay here again!

2nd time visiting and I wish I had more free time to do so ! This has to be my fav BNB ever and I am a frequent flyer of trying new ones. A must visit. If you are into home decor/ antiques, the decorations of this place are out of this world. You could keep busy just by looking at the plants and items displayed for a while. Each room has a different theme and feels like something out a movie or time capsule. If you like nature, this is such a good hidden gem of an area. Winsted and the surrounding area has woods, waterfalls, rivers, and more. Many good hiking spots or just pull offs on the side of the road. John, the host, has showed me a lot of amazing spots I often find myself daydreaming about. John himself is also so helpful and willing to provide recommendations on anything you need. I even texted him at a late hour about a kitchen supply need and he responded within minutes. He ensures your stay is simple and comfortable. He is VERY accommodating to any of your hospitality needs

Teresa was very nice and sent good instructions. Place was warm when we got there and very cozy. The beds were extremely comfy! Had everything we needed. I left an ear pod in the bed and she retrieved it and is sending to me😀. Would stay again and would be really nice in the summer with the lake across the street.

Hudson is a great town for finding some fancy meals. Tom had helpful local guides that he had laminated, and as a result we enjoyed a few delightful meals that ended with Crème Brûlée. We took the kayaks out a bit on the creek, the Hudson was a bit too choppy. House has many wonderful modern amenities, the Nest thermostat was super cool. The one thing that I should have expected, but did not, was the duck hunters. There were a lot of gunshots in the area but it is that time of year and it’s a very popular area for hunting. Tom’s place is practically perfect, peaceful and remote but 10 minutes away from a super cool town or beautiful scenery or skiing. Really you can have it all.

Our stay was amazing! The host was more than helpful! Flexible and always responsive, I didn’t need anything else, everything was provided, a very beautiful and cozy kitchen, well equipped, the living room is so cozy! It’s definitely my to go to spot! This beautiful home was everything we needed and more. Cheryl/Hannah were excellent communicators, built a beautiful home, and gave us excellent suggestions. The location was perfect, next to a beautiful lake, where we rented a pontoon and spent the day swimming and relaxing. I could not recommend this place more and these hosts were TOP NOTCH!

Hard to say enough good things about this cabin. We stayed for four nights and enjoyed every minute. Beautiful, peaceful lake; close to everything in the Berkshires; well-stocked kitchen; comfortable beds; wonderful fire pit which we made good use of. Really the complete Berkshires experience...not to be missed.

I can’t say enough positive things about Daniel’s place. The setting was beautiful and serene; It was so quiet and peaceful we almost felt like it was our own private lake! The house was lovely and so tastefully and uniquely decorated. All the windows gave a constant view of the lake. There are many quaint towns to explore within a 30 minute drive, but you may want to spend most of your time enjoying the lake and kayak. We hope to return in the summer.

Staying at Sonya’s house was an amazing experience! The house is very clean, updated, quiet and had everything we needed! I highly recommend staying at the cottage on the lake. The porch was an extra spot that the sun shined all day! It truly was a beautiful weekend!

The views of the lake and fall foliage during our stay were breathtaking! The full moon rising over the lake was stunning too. The deck and living areas all offered amazing light and views. The kitchen was great and we ate most meals there but also enjoyed Zucchini and Proprietors Lodge restaurants nearby. Location was ideal for day trips north and south to Mt Greylock, N Adams, Lenox, and Great Barrington. It was a wonderful stay for us and we’d love to return.

Absolutely lovely place and Maria was a great host. her cottage is a little piece of heaven by the lake. at night you can watch the stars when you have a clear sky. we visited there during the Fall season and the fall colors all around were amazing. the cottage itself is very comfortable and cozy and we felt right at home. the kitchen was well-stocked and we cooked a couple of meals there too. Maria was also very responsive and her kindness and warmth showed through her communications.
