Lake house vacation rentals in Grand Isle

I traveled with my wife, kids (3 & 7), parents and parents in-law. We travelled from Puerto Rico (80°F+ all year long) to Rebecca's house during the last week of December. We loved the house, bathrooms were very clean, as well as the entire house. It is a perfect place to relax and spend quality time with family. The frozen lake was beautiful as well as the surroundings. Location was very reasonable in terms of getting to cross the border to Canada and also to get to Burlington, Stowe and other beautiful places. Thank you Rebecca!

It had everything I needed and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Anne Marie even had a fire going in the fireplace for my arrival. Even though this spot would be ideal in the summer because it's right on the lake, I found it to be very beautiful and comfortable in the dead of winter. It was plenty warm, and easy to get in and out. I couldn't be happier with both the home and the host.

beautiful place right on the river! Lake Champlain and the ferry are a 5-10 minute drive, and you are able to bring your pup with!

Our host was very accommodating and responsive to our needs. The space was clean and very safe for the babies. The area was quaint and peaceful for our weekend getaway.

Kylie’s home was thoughtfully decorated and cozy. The lake views were really stunning - too cold to jump in but the jacuzzi was perfect. She was always available to message before and during my stay and asked for direct feedback towards the end of my trip in case there was anything that needed improvement. It was a great experience!

We stayed at Carrie’s place for end of the year. It was a great stay in a beautiful home. The house has all amenities and a perfect place for family vacation. Kitchen was well equipped and the hot tub was clean. The house was safe, great location. Carrie is a very responsible host and we truly enjoyed our stay and would 💯 plan to come back.

Beautiful location and wonderful radiant floor heating! This house has everything you could possibly need. We had a great time here and look forward to returning.

The rental was perfect for our needs and well appointed. the location is very walkable to a few restaurants and breakfast spots which was conveinent. David in an excellent and responsive host. We had a smoke alarm start chirping late at night for a low battery (just bad luck!) and David was available to help us solve the issue quickly. He even offered to bring us replacement batteries. We would happily rent from David again.

Mariana was wonderful. She lent us slippers since it was cold outside. She left a lot of provisions for our use so we did not need to buy olive oil, etc. She left clear directions for check out and garbage disposal. The house was very clean and the views from her property were amazing. We had a wonderful time and saw some amazing fossils from the Chazy reef.

Had a great mini getaway with my siblings here. Even though the weather wasn’t perfect it was still nice to enjoy the outside with a stunning view. Clean cozy home with space for the 6 of us, pet friendly. Host was quick to return my call when I was confused about getting in upon arrival. Will mention this space does have neighbors fairly close & limited parking, not a problem for us but could see where others may find that a bother. Hopefully we can return and stay agin in the future!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this place. The location was incredibly quiet, providing the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The stunning lake view added to the relaxing atmosphere, making it a true retreat. The place was spotless and well-maintained, which I really appreciated. The instructions provided were clear and easy to follow, making check-in a breeze. Our host was very responsive and went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. It was a nice touch to find a pet dish included, which made our furry friend feel right at home. Overall, I highly recommend this property for anyone looking for a peaceful getaway.

Very nice house right on Lake Champlain! Spacious and clean, matching the listing exactly. Clear communication from the friendly hosts Joel and Caitlin. Excellent location in South Hero. Child and pet friendly (although we had neither). We look forward to staying there again.

the only flaw is that the indoor fireplace did not give off heat

Lovely cottage in beautful area. Lots of places to visit nearby. Close to South Hero where we have family. Great restaurants, apple orchards, so much to see! Also just short drive to Burlington and other attractions like Montpilier

My husband and I sold our home in the area and needed a place to stay for a month before we could get into our new home. Aimee was able to host us at the last minute when our plans suddenly changed. She even made an exception for our 2 cats . Her home is lovely with a beautiful view of Lake Champlain. The kitchen is updated and contained everything we could possibly need and more. The bed was very comfortable and the hot tub in the yard felt amazing at the end of the day!!

Amazing place! Our second year going back in a row and will be going back next year again. Such a beautiful spot. If you’re looking for a place for friends/family or just to relax by yourself, this is it!

We had a wonderful long weekend and the house was perfect. Clean and spacious while well appointed. We love the neighborhood and the proximity to the walking bridge. Beautiful sunrises from the deck. We will absolutely be back!

John's Mountain Cabin is pleasant, comfortable, and located in a beautiful spot. Four of us stayed for four nights. We picked up groceries in Lake Placid on the way in and created wonderful meals in the roomy and well-appointed kitchen. We visited the covered bridge in Jay and made an excursion into Lake Placid for ice cream at Emma's and some window shopping. We also took John's advice and made our way to the Cobble Lookout on a gorgeous fall day. Other daily highlights include sitting on the porch, listening to and watching birds, which were very active in the early mornings. John's cabin was very comfortable for us, with two bedrooms and two bathrooms, and it would be ideal for families as well. The one time we needed to contact John had to do with the internet service popping out. We called to get his advice on resetting the router/modem, which he did immediately, and in just a few minutes later, we were up and running again. The whole time was a delight.

We had the best stay. the place was super clean. Lynda was also an amazing host, easy to reach. We will definitely come back and recommend to others!

Charles was a very good host. The cleaning crew did not show up, but we were notified in advance and it was cleaned personally by his son. The vacuum didn’t work so the floors weren’t clean, but other than that it was a great stay! This location is so charming and is close enough to Burlington to go over for the day/night to explore!

Very spacious, clean, comfortable. Bathrooms and amenities were perfect. This set my standards high for future ski cabins at this price range !

Great getaway for my fsamily! Lots of space, big table in the dining room makes it easy to be all together, and beautiful surrounding! The ability to take a wuick drive to Burlington and Stowe then head back to our reatreat was a plus. I will hopefully be staying here again very soon!!
