Great peace of hospitality! We enjoyed the warmth and gentle approach of host 柚. We only stayed for one night. A well designed and tranquil house with a great garden, perfect sauna and superb breakfast. Host 柚 is so helpful and also knows a lot of art, which we liked. The road next to the house is sometimes a bit noisy due to traffic during workdays, but that is the only remark we could make. A wonderful stay!

This place was extremely easy to find as it’s located just across the street from the Narushima Ferry Terminal. It’s been a great starting point to explore the island (thanks for the car). The ambience was also nice.

This home is located in a small alley near the harbour. 500m away is the wharf to go to Kuroshima, Two flat parking spaces available (great👍) Reminder: please drive directly to the parking lot designated by the host, unload your luggage, and then you can go to the homestay for about 100 meters (do not try to drive directly into the homestay, because the alley is really small, the car may be stuck in the middle and into the retire valley). This home is a new home remodeled in an old house, the host was very attentive to make the house tidy, the facilities were very well stocked, life was very convenient, we enjoyed staying here for three days and nights, and we were also happy to recommend this beautiful house to everyone!

I stayed with my family of three for three nights. It was a sightseeing trip centered on the beaches of Fukue Island. I used about 10 Airbnbs for work and privately, and Otofuke was the most satisfying. Not only is it well cleaned, but everything is organized and easy to use. It always feels like there are tissues, trash cans, step stools, soap, etc. nearby when you want to use them. Thanks to the direct guidance we received at check-in, we were able to efficiently understand how to use the extensive facilities. I was happy that the air conditioning was set properly because I arrived after sightseeing in the heat. Old house renovations inevitably leave some old aspects, but Otoin is impeccable in that regard, and the cleanliness and comfort of the bathroom was surprising. Property information is accurate. Most of the appliances are basically new high-grade models. For example, there are two fish scalers and a sharp knife and kitchen scissors, and there are many other amenities that are not listed. There are stairs down to the sea from the garden, and it was bliss to drop a fishing line from here in the morning and evening. There was mint growing in the garden. Next time I go, I want to make and drink fresh mint tea with it. As a point of caution, the bathroom door is glass, and you can see into the bathroom from the washroom. We didn't mind, but you may need to consider it when using it with multiple families. And I think a rental car is almost essential due to the location.

We were delighted with our stay at Nicholas and his wife's guesthouse. The house was exactly clean and equipped. The location is very nice, quiet, close to a beach (view from the kitchen on the sea). Nicholas was always very responsive, excellent communication. He very kindly picked us up then dropped off at the speedboat pier and was very helpful when the one from the return was canceled! We also rented his small car, our essential ally of our many excursions on the island! We hope to return sometime!!

Once again had a very pleasant stay with Koga-san. Their house is one of my favourite Airbnb locations in a very quiet and serene part of the countryside surrounded by farms. Gotō itself is my favourite place to retreat from the city and crowds, and I was glad to be able to stay longer this time. Thank you for hosting us and I look forward to another opportunity to visit.

A nice, relaxing way to ring in the new year. The house is small, but spacious, with lots of new amenities. I was a bit concerned that the sky lights might wake me up prematurely in the morning, but not so. And honestly, that was the best pillow I’ve ever borrowed for the evening. Sadly, I wasn’t able to utilize the complementary fishing gear that was provided, but I do intend to return later in the year. The local area is quaint. I highly recommend the cafe that is within a few minutes walk from the house.

The villa is so beautifully and lovingly restored that the photos do not do it justice. It has all the amenities you need to enjoy a fun and comfortable stay on Fukue Island. The host is so friendly and kind and she welcomed us in person to show us the details of the house. She also lives next door so it felt very safe, but still private. There are plenty of maps and brochures with suggestions of what to do on the island, which was super helpful. This stay was like a dream - we cannot wait to return!

Space is utilised and presented beautifully.
