Cottage in Longtown
4.94 out of 5 average rating, 364 reviews5 Star Cottage with Hot Tub- Key to the Esk
A lovely relaxed stay at a beautiful property. Rebecca gave us perfect directions and instructions on how to get there and use the lock box, and local tips like where to buy wood for the fire. The hot tub was amazing! So big! and perfect for one of the days where it rained as it is all covered, and had beautiful fairy lights. A lovely spot for our dog too, as garden full enclosed he loved it. Very quiet and peaceful, would visit again. Thank you !

The location and house were stunning. Very comfortable and just what you’d need after a long day of hiking. Lots of lovely thoughtful touches such as a welcoming basket with some lovely treats. Plenty of options locally for places to eat. Great recommendations from our hosts. Lovely tuck shop on site. Will definitely be back. Would highly recommend the property for hiking groups , families etc.
Cottage in Kirkby Lonsdale
4.88 out of 5 average rating, 105 reviewsLakeside Barn w/ fantastic views & Hot-Tub
We had a lovely 4 night break here, the house beautifully decorated, furnished and clean. The surroundings were lovely with walks on the door step, just be careful if you have a dog as no secure space but our dog was fine on the lead. Patrick was a great host with giving clear check in instructions and giving us recommendations for places to eat, take away options, walks and taxis beforehand. We went to lake Windermere for the day and had afternoon tea at the wild boar would definitely recommend, not your usual finger sandwiches on the menu was mini burgers, fish and chips and lots more. We also went to Kirkby Lonsdale town which was very “chocolate box” picturesque, had a lovely lunch in The Royal Hotel and walked around the unique shops. Overall, we had a lovely time at the house and would definitely recommend and visit again. Thank you Patrick

4.95 out of 5 average rating, 419 reviewsLuxury Cottage with Hot Tub at Claughton Hall
My husband and I have just spent a long weekend at the cottage. Wow, it was stunning! It's set miles from anywhere (apart from the apartments next door which the cottage still felt secluded from) and was so cosy and homely. The bed was so comfortable and the bathroom and kitchen were clean and well looked after. There was plenty of kit in the kitchen to make nice meals in the cottage. The only thing I would say is the WiFi wasn't great, but that was both 1) expected given the rural location and 2) good for us as it allowed us to switch off from the world properly. Thanks so much for having us - we'll be back for sure!

I recently stayed at a beautiful Bella’s Barn near the Lake District, and I can’t recommend it enough! The location was absolutely perfect, offering stunning views and easy access to all the natural beauty the area has to offer. The house itself was spotless, well-maintained, and equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The host went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, providing helpful tips and ensuring we had everything we needed throughout our visit. Overall, it was a peaceful, relaxing getaway in a fantastic spot. I would definitely stay here again!

This is such a lovely cottage, in very quiet area it's a 15 min drive to anywhere nearby, but was such a lovely place to come back to after exploring the area. House was very clean and had everything you needed, great garden and views and very private. Hot tub, Sauna and fire pit were lovely addition. Kids loved the badminton set up in the garden. We would return to stay here.

Cottage in Woodend Ulpha
4.9 out of 5 average rating, 223 reviewsWoodend Buttery
I had a lovely stay at the Buttery with my two small dogs. Although the weather wasn’t the best the buttery was a safe and cosy haven to come back to after a chilly or wet walk. Jella was a very welcoming host and we would definitely look to stay again in the spring. Even though it was cloudy both days the views and scenery were still amazing.
Cottage in Subberthwaite
5 out of 5 average rating, 186 reviewsLake District Cottage close to Coniston Water
This is easily one of our favourite places that we’ve stayed in the Lake District. The little cottage is fantastically well equipped and comfortable, in the most beautiful and quiet surroundings. Lynn was a wonderful host and meeting the animals was an absolute highlight of our trip. We would not hesitate to visit again.

Lovely stay, beautiful walk down the Ribble, and a very dog friendly pub in walking distance.
Cottage in Little Broughton
4.98 out of 5 average rating, 241 reviewsCosy Cottage on the edge of the Lake District
This was a great location for our exploration of the more northern Lakes and the coastline. Really convenient for so many beautiful places. The house is in a very quiet neighborhood, there's loads of space for 2 people and the shower in the bathroom is fab! Leah provided excellent instructions on how to find the cottage and the check-in was easy and stress free. We had the advantage of really nice weather for our autumn stay and honestly I think it's the best time of year to visit the Lake District. Would highly recommend The Partridge pub and restaurant near Keswick for good food, good beer and genuinely friendly service.

4.88 out of 5 average rating, 608 reviewsThe Bothy - secluded in The Lake District
We absolutely loved our stay at the Bothy and felt really welcome by Rebecca who was a fantastic host. The place is very easy to find and is in an incredibly quiet and peaceful area but also only just a short drive away from the main towns and hiking trails. We really enjoyed exploring the Lake District and coming home to the log burner each night. It was just my wife and I on the trip with our dog however the Bothy is more than big enough for a family. Highly recommend the Mason’s Arms and the Hare & Hounds pubs which are both about a 20 minute quiet walk away. Particular shout out to the Mason’s Arms where we had a great meal! We felt very lucky to stay at the Bothy and our only regret is that we didn’t book longer - the pictures don’t do it justice and we couldn’t recommend highly enough. We would love to be back one day.

Cottage in Penrith
4.96 out of 5 average rating, 631 reviewsFell Cottage - Sleeps 4
This was a perfect cottage for a base to visit the North Lakes with kids. 5* cleanliness and Joan was brilliant - I can absolutely see why she is a super host! Living next door, she was always available and even came in every afternoon to light the fire for us so when we came back from our autumn walks in the Lakes, we felt cosy and welcomed! On the evening we arrived it was dark and raining and she came outside and stood with a torch so we could find the place easily. Really lovely staycation, would absolutely book again!!

Cottage in High Lorton
4.99 out of 5 average rating, 165 reviewsBoutique cottage in lovely Lakeland valley
We absolutely loved Polly and James’ cozy cottage near Cockermouth. The location in the Lorton vale was great—beautiful in itself and a great jumping off point to see the northern lakes. The cottage—just amazing. Lovely decor and better than the photos (amazing!). A wonderful place to return to after a day of fell hiking and exploring. We like to cook and the kitchen made it a joy. And Polly and James were lovely—generous with their time and recommendations, which were always spot on. Can’t rate this highly enough!
