Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Golfito

Our stay at Scarlett House was amazing! It was everything we hope to get out of an authentic Costa Rican experience. Yeri was there to greet us upon arrival. We don’t have enough space to talk about how wonderful Yeri was. He made the trip so much more than it would have been otherwise, along with the great cooking from his wonderful wife Tatiana. Yeri hosted multiple tours for us and his vast knowledge from being a lifelong local resident is invaluable. We felt like we made a new friend by the end! We walked to the beach multiple days, and drove to Luna Lodge for lunch and swimming 2 days. We saw so much wildlife and loved going to bed with the sound of rain on the roof and waking up to the animals. The hardest adjustment for us was the humidity and lack of AC. But we appreciated the fans and felt we acclimated some by the end! We also appreciated the washing machine. Our family of 6 (kids ages 11, 13, 15, 17) grew our cultural perspective and appreciation. Location was amazing, landscape was beautifully done with the colors and textures. House was pretty and had all the amenities. Hosts were great, we arrived two hours before our expected arrival and they hustled to accommodate us. If we are in San Vito again I would want to stay more than one night. Great job Hosts!

The accommodation impeccable in terms of cleanliness. It has everything it says in the description. We saw lapas, a tolomuco, toucans in the cabin patio. Extremely private. Beautiful jardin. I would definitely go there again. Only that an air conditioner or more ceiling fans and silks on the windows so we could have them open at night would be my only suggestion. But out there, excellent at everything.

We stayed at the accommodation for one night, but immediately felt very comfortable. Juan took great care of us and the communication was great.

We stayed here the night before going to Drake. The hosts offered to drive us into Sierpe to the docks in the morning. They helped book our water taxi. They also took time to get to know us and encouraged us to learn more Spanish. Very friendly.

Loved staying here for a few days. Such a nice and comfortable house, with a large private outdoor space. So quiet and peaceful, and sitting in the living room watching the outdoors was really calming. Great wifi for working remotely with video calls. And I loved that there was a clothes washer I could use. Simone was so incredibly nice and helpful. She contacted me in advance with tours I could do in the area, and while there she helped me schedule tours with local agencies. It made it so easy for me. She has been living there a long time and is a guide in the area so is very knowledgeable. The mangroves are right outside your door and the animals you can see in them are incredible - absolutely a must to go on a tour! Erica was also so kind in cleaning the house and having it ready early so I could check in super early when I arrived in town and was tired. Highly recommend.

If you want to stay in a Tico neighborhood while in Puerto Jimenez, this is a perfect place to be. I was there for 3 months without a car and it was easy to get everywhere I wanted. Keyla's recommendations for tours, guides and anything else I asked were spot on. When there were any concerns with the house, she sent someone over right away to address it. And the air conditioning was well appreciated!

As mentioned, the address that comes in Airb&b is not exact. The recommendation is that they consult the host first and send it the exact address in Waze. He is always very attentive to one and available to help. Highly recommended place.

A great place to stay surrounded by so much nature, the cabin is lovely and the swimming pool especially was a wonderful addition. Great communication from Ashley, very considerate and always responsive, I really appreciate all your help in making Julianna’s stay so memorable! Highly recommend.

We enjoyed our stay and it was the perfect place for our family! Having the pool and a kiddie pool was amazing, as well as use of the Rancho. I loved that the Ranch had bathrooms too, so we didn’t have wet kids tracing in and out of the house. The house was really nice and very clean. And the space was well thought through for guests. If the house started to feel a tad small for our family, we just stepped outside and had a perfect space in the Rancho even if it was raining. The property is completely closed which made us feel safe and allow our kids to play without worry. We thought this was the perfect place for us and will definitely be back when we visit next time!

Great spot to be in Pavones

Excellent! I might add some of the fake plant vines for the lattice fence. Otherwise everything was perfect. Would gladly return.

Our group of friends loved staying at this house! It was easy to find and easy to get in, and Lea and Dina were super communicative and helpful. The fenced yard really helped me have peace of mind on day trips, as our dog was happy and had lots of space to play! The backyard / BBQ area is a great hangout spot, and the pool was amazing in the hot afternoons. We will definitely be back.

La Casita de Osa is a beautiful place to stay when visiting Puerto Jimenez, from there is easy to move everywhere. We were working most of the time during the day, but had the chance to go to Playa Colibrí and Playa Preciosa, both really beautiful, but even better was being able to get back to a cozy home where you had your own pool to relax, cook something in the fully equipped kitchen, and see the night sky full of stars. Argeny and her husband were very responsive and helped us quickly at any moment we required help. Will go back for sure, totally recommended.

I’ve stayed in many Airbnb locations all over the world. This was the best. An artful, thoughtful well appointed home in the lush jungle. Amazing. I’ve been gone a day and I’m already trying to find ways to return.

Elise’s home was lovely and new! You can tell she cares a lot about her home and her guests in both her kind responses and by the little things - filtered water, plenty of hooks to hang items, fully stocked kitchen , even spices! She and her property manager Meredith were so helpful and generous, they responded timely whenever we had any questions. It’s close to the beach and I will definitely try to stay here every time we visit Pavones!

Loved every minute, lots of wildlife, wonderful dogs! Loved all the trails. We had capuchin everyday and beautiful tanagers who visited. Definitely recommend Ficus tours for a day trip to la sirena station! We saw an amazing abundance of animals including a boa constrictor! And Utopia Tica with Francois for an amazing Thai massage!

Rooted in Love is a peaceful retreat in a nature-filled paradise. Amanda is a wonderful host. The care and love she has put into her home shine through. We especially enjoyed the outdoor shower, the freshly ground local coffee, and the nature guides!

The best deal in this part of Costa Rica. With the prices of everything in this paradise going up, finding a gem like this was great on the wallet. The home was clean and beautifully tucked into the lush jungles of Pavones. I had a rental car so going to and from the surf, restaurants, and grocery store was easy and just minutes away. If you're looking for affordable accommodations Pavones, this is a good choice.

Our favourite place we stayed in Costa Rica (and we stayed in 11 different places over 3 weeks) you are staying 30 seconds from a beach, which is so quiet it’s almost private. Drake bay itself is amazing and this place is a nod to its uniqueness. Venture off on a day wildlife adventure and come back to chill in hammocks for sundown, or just chill all day. The hosts are super welcoming and friendly and couldn’t do more for you - thank you so much Alexis! We were lucky enough to get fresh mango from a tree in the gardens. We couldn’t recommend this place enough and we will always recommend to anyone visiting Costa Rica. The place has everything you need and you’re not far from town. The bedroom fans keep you cool at night, whilst listening to the ocean waves. We miss it already!

Such a lovely spot in the trees. Walking distance to a beautiful beach for swimming, and every morning an incredible pack of monkeys visited the trees around the house! The house is simple (no hot water) but it's clean and well cared for and had all the basic things I needed for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. Nice grapefruit and lemons from the land.

Thank you!! I really appreciated the early check in. The king bed was super comfortable and the large screen tv was awesome. Loved it was all fenced in for my dogs. No noise from the neighbors, only from the road. Loved the location!!
