Vacation rentals with a kayak in Gilmer County

Great location surrounded by the lake. Beautiful home with lots of room. Kayaks furnished was very convenient. Very peaceful setting with lots of activities located within the community. Would definitely stay here again.

Loved our vacation in Gainesville. The house was great. It is exactly like the photos show and feels new and very clean. Any questions or issues we had were addressed by Jessica immediately and she resolved them. The bed was comfy w soft linens. The towels are pristine white. There is plenty of shampoo and conditioner and body wash. The kitchen has all the basics for cooking. They really thought of everything- there are even two yoga mats for guests to use! There is a jacuzzi and TWO fire pits. One outside w lots of twinkling lights above (plenty of firewood around- just bring marshmallows and Graham crackers) and another gas firepit in the screened in porch. The dock is quiet. It is covered if you want shade. The water was perfect for swimming and kayaking. We visited the botanical gardens in Gainesville and we went to jaemoor farms for home grown, amazing flavor- tomatoes and peaches. Worth the drive! We had a wonderful time! Highly recommend it!

Perfect weekend. The place was cozy and clean. Deer stopping by every night for some acorns along with a beautiful sunset in the back deck were an added bonus!

Wendy was a fantastic host and always responded to us promptly. Her property was decorated with love and not only maintained well, but fully-stocked too. There were the essential spices like salt/pepper, oil, coffee filters, and other items to help you settle in quickly and really feel like you were on a true vacation and could cook up a good meal for the family! She even had left some goodies for us and had doTERRA essential oils with a diffuser for guests to use and a cabinet full of puzzles and games. As a guest, you felt truly welcomed into her property and well-informed. She had laminated signs/cards around the house to help guests understand what was expected, checkout procedures, and how to use the equipment properly and store them back afterwards. The dock was great and we were able to use the canoe, 1 kayak, and 1 stand-up paddle board but getting down to the dock is a bit steep but well-worth it. We wish we could have stayed a bit longer but overall, it was a perfect stay!

Cassie's home was excellent for our family vacation in December...just what we were looking for, cozy, beautiful surroundings, clean and convenient location to the things we wanted to do. Communication was excellent and my grandkids had a great time kayaking and making smores with the complimentary graham crackers, marshmallows and chocolate for us to enjoy...every evening was cozy and great sitting by the fireplace...We will for sure recommend this home and we will for sure be back.

I can't say enough about Lisa's home! It had everything listed and more. The thoughtfulness in the little details made this the best experience we have had with an Airbnb. This home is beautiful and the amenities at the lake were perfect. Our family had a wonderful week and hope to do it again in the future.

Lovely house. Beautiful views. Close to several towns we want to visit. Unusual to find so many bedrooms and bathrooms. We were four women and had a bathroom each! Highly recommend. We would stay here again.

The host were so attentive and helpful. They sent me all kinds of things I could do with my kids. Their house is beautiful, the yard is AMAZING! Beautiful scenery! Will be back!!

We had a fantastic stay at Gary and Sherry's home and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a family-friendly and active getaway. The location is perfect, situated just a short walk from Playfield Park. The park features a wonderful playground for kids, making it an ideal spot for families with young children. The 1/4 mile walking path around the field is perfect for leisurely walks or taking your dog out for a stroll, and the tennis and pickleball courts are just a stone's throw away for those who enjoy sports. Inside the home, the kitchen is well-equipped, which was a huge bonus. I was able to prepare and cook a full Thanksgiving meal for my entire family without any issues. The kitchen has all the essentials you could need for cooking, and it made our holiday gathering so much easier and enjoyable. One tip: the host suggests bringing all your food items, which I highly recommend. We did not want to have to trek outside the neighborhood for pricey grocery items.

Here’s a suggestion for a five-star review: My family and I had an amazing stay. We evacuated from Hurricane Milton and Spencer was incredibly accommodating. He went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect for us to check in. Spencer was very responsive and quick to answer any questions, making the entire process smooth. The instructions provided were clear and easy to follow, which made check-in and navigating the space a breeze. Highly recommend this place and would definitely stay again.

We do a yearly girls family weekend (3 generations) in blue ridge and it’s been hard to find an affordable place that fits our needs and desires. From the moment we walked in we felt like this might be our forever home (lol). Lovely decor and lots of space. Comfortable beds, stocked kitchen. The back porch is such a nice place to hang out. Quiet neighborhood. Close to town. We do some cooking on our weekend and we had what we needed in the kitchen to make the things we planned. Great place. We booked for the next year already.

Nathan’s place was absolutely breathtaking and stunning. We visited family for Thanksgiving and the kitchen had everything we needed and then some. The space was so peaceful. The bed was comfortable and everything was clean. You can tell a lot of time and care went into creating this space. Would absolutely visit again and recommend it for other people in the future.

We had a great time on our impromptu trip to the lake. The house was clean and the sunsets were beautiful from the dock.

My friends and I wanted to escape for the weekend, and this place was a great option. While you are next to other cabins, we saw more deer than humans all weekend. The location was beautiful and all the amenities listed were present and ready to be used. Jennifer was very responsive and welcoming to me and my friends. Can't recommend this place more! 10/10!

This cabin was absolutely amazing! It was the perfect getaway for a relaxing Thanksgiving week in the mountains. The cabin itself was very clean and comfortable, and it had everything we needed for a great stay. We especially loved the surroundings and the fact that the cabin was located right on the Coosawattee River. We also enjoyed using the gaming room and board games that were provided by the host. The gated community amenities were a great bonus, and we took advantage of the pool, game room, and gym. Overall, we had a fantastic stay at River Nest and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable vacation in Ellijay, Georgia.

Unbelievable get away. This cabin was great everything was thought of. The moment we walked in and felt a cozy cabin you immediately felt relaxed. The host, Rob, was super responsive. We had never been to Ellijay. Such a hidden gem. Lots of great wineries, local restaurants, friendly locals. They even have a new speak easy that has opened which was unbelievable.

Our family of 10 had an amazing stay. Everything we needed to cook with was provided the home was gorgeous and beds very comfortable . Very clear instructions on everything and having the water right there was beautiful . We are Floridians used to the flat lands so the roads to the house were quit the fun adventure especially with all the deer. Any time we communicated with our host he was very responsive . Our family wants to now rent this home during summer months to enjoy the resort and water.

My friends and I enjoyed our stay at the logcabin tremendously! The cabin was tastefully decorated, spacious and equipped with everything you would need! Beautiful scenery and views, peaceful and quiet!

We enjoyed our stay! Morgan was nothing but a great host. The trip was intended to celebrate our anniversary and a break before we welcome our baby which was everything the cabin had everything I wanted and needed. It’s very nice relaxing and beautiful. I definitely recommend staying!

Whiskey Cheeks was so great! My husband and I had a wonderful weekend stay there. We loved the nice mix of modern decor while still having a woodsy cabin feel. Everything looked and felt very clean. The hot tub was amazing! Everything worked and was in good order. It was all very comfortable and we had a fantastic stay. Only thing I would say is that the stairs from the top floor to the bottom floor are a little narrow and steep. It wasn't a problem for us, and our Golden Retriever managed them well, but if you were going to stay with an older dog or maybe a toddler, elderly person, etc., I'd maybe not recommend those stairs. Otherwise, everything was fantastic! We would definitely come stay again and recommend it to friends! George and Melissa also did an absolutely stellar job hosting. They were so quick to respond to everything, and they let us know all the information we needed up front.
