Comfortable, well kept, and convenient

I am minutes to the resort center yet central enough to take advantage of non resort amenities. While there is no ski in/out from this location, there is affordable food, country comfort, and you are still only 10 minutes from Top of the World. It is a very unique property and is geared towards regular skiers, bikers, families, and couples. You park right out front, the hot tub is next door, & restaurants and a market just a few minutes away. Any pet must be approved in advance.

Awesome house for a great price. Great area, lots of light, had everything you need to be comfortable and the hot tub was great to have. The house has the appeal of an old cabin but everything feels new and clean and fresh. Devils Knob Overlook is just up the hill, and was great for walking the dog to and just sitting down and enjoying the view. This will be the first house we look for to stay in when we come back.

It’s an amazing stay, will go back again. I made it there with my front wheel drive sedan, but I would suggest going with a high clearance AWD SUV. I was lucky with the dry dirt and gravel road at the time I was there so I didnt get stuck, but I think it did hurt my car’s suspension a little bit lol Other than that, place is really cozy, comfy, peaceful, more than amazing views and really private.

This stay was absolutely incredible! The location is a bit remote, but that only adds to the peacefulness and privacy of the property. The views were breathtaking, especially the sunrise from the primary bedroom—truly unbeatable! The host was extremely accommodating, accepting our last-minute booking and responding quickly with great recommendations and answers to all our questions. Despite the unfortunate circumstances we went through, Doug was always available and responsive. The place was a wonderful stay, especially if you are someone who enjoys a private and peaceful area. Getting there early during the day before it gets dark might be helpful as there are no streetlights and the roads are very meandering. The sights were beautiful. Overall, very great thank you!

This place felt like we stayed at a Better Homes & Garden magazine spread. It has a nostalgic feeling of lake cottages from my childhood- the smallest details that hosts thought of- from a cute game down by the lake, to an umbrella on hand, the kitchen utensils, we enjoyed a relaxing weekend that we did not have to leave. This is not your normal mish mash of old attic furniture and cast offs that a lot of Airbnb's have. I can't say enough of how much we enjoyed it and didn't feel like we needed to leave. On a side note- hot tub was like new & heating worked really well- hate when those are advertised and they don't work.

We were extremely happy with our stay in Massanutten, VA. The property manager gave early, clear instructions on what to do at check-in, rules regarding pets, and what was needed at check-out. When there appeared to be an issue with the clothes washer, a handyperson came to the house and had it fixed before we were back from our hike that day. I can highly recommend this property for kids - there are games galore in the basement, enough beds for a family of 5-6, and a spacious, cozy living room. The kitchen had everything we needed. The property was very well maintained inside and out. Above all else, using this property was easy from start to finish, which is all you can ask for in a vacay rental. 5 out of 5 stars!
