Cabin vacation rentals in Funny River

Matt's log home was warm and cozy, clean, spacious for our 2 families of 8 people total, beautiful, simple and welcoming. Cheryl was an excellent co-host and was communicative, friendly and responsive. We enjoyed making fires, looking at the beautiful views, and having plenty of space for kids to play while adults visited. We would definitely visit again!

The house was super clean, well-organized, and everything was labeled, so it was easy to find what we needed and know where to put things back. It had all the amenities you could want, including an amazing hot tub with an awesome view of the lake. The wraparound deck and the fire pit down by the lake were perfect for relaxing. Plus, the dock made it easy to fish and kayak – so many fun outdoor activities! The house was really spacious, and although there was only two of us and we kept to the main house, the other one was available. This place would be awesome for a family trip or a getaway with friends. We’re already thinking about coming back next year to tackle the Kenai River with our friends. The hosts were super friendly, responsive, and made us feel really welcome. Can’t recommend this place enough!

Quiet and easy place to stay. Had a lot of things to do but we were too busy fishing to do them.

Picturesque!! Absolutely stunning views and peaceful quiet oasis. Everything was great. Stocked kitchen for cooking. Will definitely be booking this place again. We only used the main floor bedroom, but the bed was extremely comfortable. Don’t pass this one up.

This place was exactly what we were looking for during our trip. Jack was always responsive and location was perfect! If we are in the area again, we will definitely book again.

We had an amazing time staying at Pat's cabin. Beautiful views and exactly as described! Pat came and checked on us and offered some great advise on what to do nearby. The cabin was super cozy and had everything we needed. Would have stayed longer if we already didn't have plans for the next evening. 10/10 would recommend!!

We went for beach combing and some R&R. This is the closest place to the beach for stays, and is very private and secure. Theres a volleyball net and place for grilling :-). Our hosts were wonderful, and even left a stuffed animal for our puppy to play with. Paradisos, a nearby eatery has good food, we recommend the greek platter, if you like gyros you wont be disappointed. - Dan and Mal.

I didn't actually get to stay because I got the flu in AK. Ally was so amazing and refunded my money. I hope to get back to Kenai someday and meet her to thank her in person!

I love staying at the Birch Tree Cabins! Andy is always very helpful and responsive. This was our second stay at Birch Tree Cabins. The first time we stayed in the Moose Cabin and this year we tried the Wolf Den. Both cabins are wonderful and equipped with everything we needed: range, microwave, coffee maker, and hot water for those much needed hot showers after a rainy day! Thank you Andy for another great stay!

Great little cabin for our short one night stay. Super convenient with having the toilet and sink in cabin. Mini fridge, coffee maker, electric skillet, and a few kitchen staples and dishes made it easy and super convenient. Bunk beds were perfect and this space was super easy to get in/out and you can back up right to the door! Wish we could have stayed longer, the tent/community dinner sounded like a blast. Thanks so much for a great stay!

Kathy was super helpful, always responded to questions immediately and even offered help With things we didn’t anticipate, like help with shipping the fish we caught. She always thought ahead. The house was well supplied, clean and was right on the river with a gorgeous view. And her dog Gabby was a special greeter upon arrival.

Jon and Brandi have been amazing hosts! I can’t imagine anyone being as friendly, kind and prompt. These are dry cabins so if you aren’t used to some Alaskan ways of life then this might not be for you. They are making updates for the future though! Love the peace and quiet out here! This cozy, private, quiet cabin welcomed us with snacks, a clean interior, many amenities (coffee and cream, condiments in the fridge, plenty of dish towels for a family with kids and games) plus nice firm mattresses and a gorgeous view from both decks and the living room. Robert and Eleanor are gracious and responsive hosts who are proud of their cabin and happy to share it with others. Blackout shades helped us sleep and the overall feeling was very welcoming. The guest book gave great suggestions for activities nearby and I appreciate the simplicity of the layout and thoughtfulness of the interior. Thank you!
