This cabin was so dreamy! On our drive in, we spotted a beautiful gray fox and a few deer. The forest surrounding the cabin is just beautiful. The cabin had everything we needed. I thought I wouldn’t like to walk to the bath house, but honestly I thoroughly enjoyed it. It’s only a short walk, and it gives you multiple chances to spot wildlife. The bath house is clean and has everything you need. I especially enjoyed the French press coffee and slow mornings reading in the cabin

Great space! My family and I were in town for our brother's birthday and we were able to gather there with plenty of space. Good spot if you have a larger crew of folks you're traveling with.

Beautiful Getaway! Our family of 5 (2 adults, 5-year-old, 1-year-old, small dog) spent American Thanksgiving week at Carley's place on Pender Island and had an amazing and relaxing week of family time. The house is even more unique (in the best possible way) than the pictures show, the views are amazing, and the kids spent days just exploring the space. We hiked each day, explored the island, and enjoyed the sunsets and fireplace. The hosts are communicative, and the place has all the amenities you could need. 10/10 would recommend and hope to come back again!

Words cannot describe how special this place is. We were lucky enough to stay for almost a month, and the house and beach just kept on giving. The space has an incredible view out to the Salish sea, and we watched a parade of herons, bald eagles, and numerous other seabirds from the front deck. The house is equipped with everything you need and more, full of whimsy and fun art supplies, games, the best blankets and comforters ever, and two cozy fireplaces. The photos do not do the house justice; it's huge and modern, open plan, but with lots of private sitting spaces. Dawn and Zach are the kindest, most wonderful hosts. There's a reason the Sunset house has hundreds of rave reviews. If you have a chance to book it, don't hesitate.

This abode is amazing, it was super comfortable, had all amenities needed, and was a wonderful experience! I actually chose this vacation to propose to my boyfriend, thank you Donna for providing a place for my now fiancé and I :)

Our stay here was great! My partner, myself and my small dog were looking for a cozy and scenic place to stay while visiting family in Bellingham and this was the perfect place. We were both able to work remotely with great WiFi/cell service, take nice dog walks down the road, enjoy the stunning views of the twin sisters peaks, stargaze through the bedroom skylight, play games and relax. Caroline was super responsive and the place was very clean! In classic PNW fashion, there were even giant slabs of wild caught salmon in the freezer and Caroline graciously offered one to us for cooking. The location is great too! 30 mins from b-ham, easy drives to Mt. Baker or I-5, and in the summer you could enjoy a nice walk to the ever-wonderful Acme diner. This place was a gem and I would love to come back in the summer someday!

We had originally booked at a nearby place but they called us just hours before our arrival to let us know they had overbooked and couldn’t accommodate us! We found this listing immediately and it had everything we needed and more. The location was excellent. The community is quiet. The view from the living room and patio turned out better than where we were originally going to be. The beds were very comfortable, too! The whole family slept well and we were able to have a much needed break from our daily lives to enjoy each other.

This is an AMAZING place for a couple’s retreat! We felt so welcome and right at home during our stay! Louis and Tasha are wonderful hosts and they’ve put a lot of thought and care into creating a wonderful experience for their guests

Emma's place was perfect for our needs. There was plenty of room for all of us - including our 2 big dogs! The decor is lovely, just like the pictures, but free from clutter, which I appreciated. The kitchen had every item we needed to make our meals. The sauna and cold soak tub were a very appreciated bonus! The neighborhood is very peaceful, and felt safe for walking our dogs. Most importantly was how kind, gracious, and communicative Emma was. She allowed us to check in early, which helped us immensely, and answered any questions we had quickly. I would definitely recommend this rental to others.

Retreat 19 is a lovely home away from home! The inside of the home is decorated beautifully, while not being cluttered. It felt like a dream to find such a nice looking and well-appointed home that also allows dogs! The kitchen has top of the line appliances, along with everything you need to make meals, and is very spacious. Our family was very comfortable during our stay. And Jennifer was incredibly kind and flexible to allow us latitude in our check in and check out time - which was so helpful! The only downside - and it was a minor one - was that the fenced in yard doesn't have grass - it is just dirt. That didn't matter to our dogs - they had a great time running around in it - but it meant that their feet were constantly muddy, which made us worry about making sure they weren't tracking it inside. Considering the lovely home and their willingness to accept pets, the extra effort to keep the dogs clean was worth it to us to have the benefit of the fenced yard.

Our recent stay at this amazing house, hosted by the absolutely wonderful Gramma Rikki, was nothing short of magical! From the moment we arrived, we felt completely at home. The location was absolutely perfect. We enjoyed breathtaking views and easy access to all the island's treasures. Whether we wanted to explore the vibrant town, hike scenic trails, or simply relax and soak in the tranquility, everything was conveniently within reach. But what truly made our experience exceptional was the incredible hospitality of Gramma Rikki. They were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. Their genuine kindness and attentiveness made us feel like valued guests, and we truly appreciated their warm and welcoming spirit. The house itself was immaculate, beautifully decorated, and equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. It was the perfect sanctuary after a day of exploring the island. Was the perfect getaway for my wife and kids! Pool was amazing and great fun for our kids. Place was clean, quiet and it was the perfect peaceful location for a relaxing weekend! Can’t wait to come back!

Budd's place was even better than I expected and I can't wait to return. My friends were also blown away by how stunning it was. It had everything you could possibly need and was such a great escape from the city. Highly recommend!

It was an absolute joy to stay at Kalani's place! The house itself was incredibly well stocked with spices in the kitchen, bath products if needed, and even binoculars to use! It was sparkling clean, easy to find, and Kalani was super helpful & communicative! The bed was extremely comfortable and you cant beat the gorgeous views out the living room and bedroom window!! We traveled around Anacortes & visited the San Juan islands and thought the location was perfect - easy to get to town/ the ferry port, but remote enough to feel truly relaxed and enjoy the beautiful setting! You cant go wrong booking this GEM!!!

We had a lovely stay on Mayne in Kate's cozy cabin. The hot tub was great, and we loved the quiet forest setting. Mayne is also a nice island for cycling - fairly quiet roads, and slightly less hilly than some of the other Gulf Islands? An excellent spot for an extended weekend getaway!

We had a fantastic holiday at Charles and Kristy's place. Their home sits right by the sound, with a lovely swing set nearby. Simply sitting there, surrounded by the rushing water and birdsong, was one of the most peaceful experiences I’ve had in a long time. The setting is private, quiet, and a perfect escape from busy Seattle. There are two beaches adjacent to the property, though we didn’t have time to explore them. With so much to do on San Juan Island, we stayed busy the rest of our trip. Oh, and the gas grill was a great touch—we had fun using it!
