Beautiful, spacious home. Had the amenities that were listed. Will need to bring shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, and extra rolls of toilet paper, and this is listed in the details. The home was spotless and welcoming for our executive team retreat. How to instructions were provided and worked perfectly. Grateful for this opportunity to share dedicated time with my team in a space that allowed everyone to have personal space even when sharing a room. The bedrooms are enormous and lovely.

Our FAVORITE place to stay as a family. What a pleasant surprise—tons of toys for the kids, a Nintendo Wii (with Wii Sports), an arcade console, pong pong and pool! Plus all four kids had their own bed. Newly renovated space with all new amenities. So great!!!

We stayed at Nicole's place for a weekend getaway from the city and had a fantastic time. Everything was spotless, and the kitchen was well-stocked with everything we needed to make a great steak dinner. We loved the location and definitely plan on returning in the future!

Quaint Bungalow in Central Location

All the good things previously written about Stephen and the bungalow are true! Before and throughout my stay, Stephen was a friendly, gracious, and helpful host who clearly wanted me to feel at home in the bungalow. It did feel like home from the minute I walked through the door. There was a warm welcome note from Stephen on the counter, along with some Mrs. Mikes! Sun was shining through the many windows, most of which look out on beautiful gardens. The whole bungalow is bright, airy, and incredibly clean with comfortable seating and sleeping. There are lots of convenient electrical outlets and plenty of storage places for all your stuff. It is in a quiet and safe neighborhood lined with trees for shady walks on hot days. I felt so relaxed and comfortable and welcomed there, and am already looking forward to my stay next summer. Thank you, Stephen.

Amazing experience! The house exceeded all my expectations. It was spotless, beautifully decorated, and fully equipped with everything I needed for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Great spot if you have a group of ~8. We didn’t want for anything (plenty of dishes, filtered water, well stocked kitchen, ect) and everyone was able to be included in each space. Large dining table was great for sharing meals and playing games. After a long day of hiking the hot tub was a welcome addition and was very clean/well maintained.

This place is absolutely perfect! I loved all of the antiques that complemented the house very well! The location is quiet and seems to be very safe, we had no issues. The backyard is absolutely beautiful and the room with all the windows is the best place to sleep and wake up with a beautiful view, especially when it snows! We loved this place and will definitely be booking again when we return! ❤️

Had a fantastic stay- our focus was hiking at Starved Rock and it was perfect for that. We’re thinking of a summer trip to kayak now as well. The townhouse is very cozy and the dining table was great for playing games with the family. Beds are comfortable and rooms are large. Our kid was excited to use the big jacuzzi tub for bath time. Plenty of counter space to cook together. Recommend bringing foil or plastic wrap as there is none available. Will need to have all ingredients on hand- there are no supplies left from previous guests with things like oil/Pam. Big grocery options are just a short drive away though. For those with electric cars, the Flying J has good level 2 chargers-not as fast as described in listings though. Saw Tesla chargers at the HyVee as well.

Great place, excellent hiking and everything you need for a comfotable stay. Jim was available for questions with quick replies and had great information about the trails and history of the area. This is a special area and you can tell there are people who care deeply about maintinaing it. We will definitely return to this area!
