Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Franklin County

The place was absolutely amazing! Great hosts who were quick to respond. It’s a peaceful and cozy environment. Everything was impeccably clean. Will definitely come back.

The hosts were extremely responsive. The home fit the entire family very comfortably and there was plenty of parking for all vehicles. The property was also in a very convenient location. Definitely don't plan on walking to the main strip, we already knew that when booking. The only complaints I could have is that the A/C and dryer did not work. The host did inform me that the A/C did not work 1 day prior to our arrival and installed two portable A/C units, 1 on each floor. It kept the house comfortable enough to stay but the rooms without the units did get a little warm for me. I'm sure most people wouldn't mind but I like to be cold when I sleep so A/C is very important to me. The dryer not working only hurt us because we had 1 towel provided per person and couldn't do laundry. I didn't inform the host during our stay we just dealt with it. All in all, it was a pleasant stay and couldn't ask for a more responsive host. I would stay here again once the A/C is fixed!

We loved Ross's place this year just as much as we did last year. It is an amazing house in a great location. We look forward to coming back again in the future.

Clean, neat, great location and very central. Late check in was a breeze and no problems at all. While we did not utilize it, there is a nice outdoor space with chairs, fire pit, etc

Kelli is a very responsive host. We easily entered the home, walked into a clean house with plenty of towels and bed pillows. The kitchen was stocked with everything that we needed (including beaters to make whipped cream for our hot chocolate). This is an older home, but very comfortable and clean and a good value. Very easy to walk into town. Staying in this location gives easy access to not only downtown Saranac Lake (very walkable) but easy to get to Tupper Lake and Lake Placid - so a great central location. During different seasons you can walk right to Baker Mountain which is an easy hike with nice views. Instead, we walked around the pond as the snow fell and it was beautiful. Easy to walk to Bitters and Bones Restaurant, Early Dawn Confections (great pastries) and Sara Placid Sled and Spoke for either snow mobile rentals or e-bike, regular bike rentals on the new trail. Can't beat this location.

Our weekend stay at the Farmhouse was exactly what we were looking for: it was quiet, cozy and full of love & joy. Jodi and Neil have done a spectacular job curating this lovely little farmhouse with so many details and amenities. We truly felt like we were home during our stay. We were grateful to be able to bring our doggo Dwight along. He absolutely enjoyed the fenced in back yard! We highly recommend this spot if you are in the Lake Placid & Saranac Lake area and we look forward to booking our next stay. Jodi and Neil, Thank you for everything!!

My family (3 upper elementary kids & my husband) and I loved our stay at this cottage. It was clean, cozy, just the right space for a home away from home. I was glad for only one TV, a very well-stocked kitchen, and proximity to various hiking trails (our main goal for our time). I will caution that people moving through the world in large bodies may find parts of this home difficult to navigate (shower, downstairs toilet) but that is what comes with many older buildings. Saul and Robert communicated with me quickly and thoroughly, and they welcomed my feedback on minor improvements/repairs the home needs. I highly recommend this space and will more than likely stay here again whenever we make our way back to the Adirondack Park region!

We are returning for a second stay to Irish and Phil’s Cozy Cottage and it was perfect for us again! Super easy to get to the village of Lake Placid, pet and kid friendly makes it a much better choice than the local hotels. Definitely recommend!

Deb's place was cozy and comfortable. Her instructions were great. Everything we could have needed was there. It was close to downtown shops and restaurants. She had a lot of brochures and books with ideas for activities and information about them as well as attractions in the area and restaurants. It was just what we needed for our weekend getaway.

The location itself is beautiful and pristine. The house was warm and cozy - perfect for a fall stay - and Greg was great and gave us some very helpful recommendations. Would highly recommend the stay, especially if you're a dog lover!

Was a perfect location for my wife and I to stay at during our vacation. Had everything we needed for a long weekends Everything is within walking distance which makes getting around town that much easier.

Andrea's place was perfect for our quick get away to Paul Smith's college. It is a beautiful area with lots of outdoor hiking options. The place was much larger and even nicer than we expected. Instructions for tv, internet, etc were clear and easy to follow. Well stocked kitchen but we didn't really use anything while we were there due to such a short stay. Beds were comfortable, bathrooms beautiful- plenty of hot water and water pressure! Heat worked well and kept us cozy. Loved the deck and wish we were there longer to enjoy the space!

Great place to stay in Lake Placid! It is a 5 minute drive to the main area of Lake Placid, but this area is much quieter than the Main Street core. We were here for the Ironman and the location is just a 3 minute drive to the shuttle busses so very convenient! Claire was a great host. Would love to stay again if we get the chance to come back.

The place was perfect for me and my wife! We were looking for a listing last minute, and Kathy responded within minutes and booked us. The location was amazing. You can access anything you want with just a few minutes of driving, and it was really private. The place was everything you needed as well, from a full kitchen to even heated floors! An unbeatable price for what you get, and we’ll be staying there again!

We really enjoyed the house. It was very nice and peaceful. Christina was very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The place is very aesthetically pleasing and cozy. I like the vintage feel to it. I would recommend to anyone who is visiting in upstate New York. The next time I visit the area I’m absolutely booking here again. The fall foliage was definitely a plus. Huge thanks to Christina we really appreciate it.

We had a very cosy and peaceful stay at Jillian’s cabin in December. Despite the cold outside it was lovely and toasty inside, and had everything we needed for our stay. It was conveniently located in a quiet and pretty setting, which was magical in the snow! The family were very welcoming and helped us out with the snowy conditions. We really appreciated all the recommendations for places to explore and eat too. Thank you so much!

We had a fabulous time here. The property is secluded and very peaceful. It was just what we were looking for. The hosts were great and attended to every detail in decorating the interior. We especially liked that the house is off the grid and that the hosts are obviously into conservation, natural products and protecting the environment.

Chad's place was a perfect getaway for us. The bedrooms and bathrooms were clean, kitchen was well equipped and the cabin had a cozy, comfortable feel to it. Accessing the place was easy and instructions were clear. Overall this was a great vacation and we loved our stay.

Camp Timberock is a rare find. We chose the cabin because of the unlimited options for paddling and hiking. Despite the cold temperatures, we took advantage of the area and spent a lot of time exploring. One of my favorite parts of Timberock would be the deck with the outdoor fireplace. We also appreciated all of the supplies in the kitchen, the extra blankets and the endless supply of wood for the fire. Hope to return next year!

Sooooo amazing. It snowed the entire time which made the view even more breathtaking. Sitting in the hottub watching the snow fall. It was worth the 5 hour drive.

Cheryl and Robert’s place was everything we wanted and more. It was the perfect, cozy spot after a full day of hiking. Can’t wait to come back!

We could not have been happier with our stay! The property was lovely, and Robert was a wonderful host. Any questions we had for Robert were answered in a timely manner, and he even gave us a great dinner recommendation for a restaurant in town. All of our hopes and expectations for our weekend getaway were met and then some. 10/10, would book again!
