Family-friendly vacation rentals in Finnmark

Lovely place! We were just there at the wrong time. Bad weather meant we got no stars or northern lights, but was very cosy with the fire lit and still a unique experience. The scenery outside with the river right alongside flowing out into the fjord was beautiful to wake up to.

Frank's place is very special and beautiful, the earth house is very cozy and comfortable. It has all you need and is very clean. The host couple is very friendly and accommodating. The reindeer soup on the first night, by the open fireplace was excellent. We can recommend this accommodation without hesitation.

House is very big and homelike. 5/5!

A quiet night in the comfort of a clean little house with views of the fishing harbor. Five minutes from Honningsvåg. Twenty minutes from a good spot to see beautiful aurora borealis. North Cape close by. No Wi-Fi and soft bedding. (At everyone's convenience). There is everything you need for a good stay.

Huge home with beautiful view over the bay. Sauna, drying room, pool table, big kitchen and terrace. All you could want! We had a great three day visit ski touring, even swam in the sea after the sauna! Hope to come back

Really nice basic cottage, awesome isolated location. There are 2 small bedrooms and all the amenities, tools etc you need for a place like this. We really loved it for our 2-night getaway. Unfortunately the lakeside sauna burned down just before our arrival but if/when it's built back I will definitely return. Please note that there is no electricity - plan accordingly. Per was a fantastic host - really tried everything to make our stay pleasant and smooth.

Charming cabin ideally located on the road to the North Cape. Very quiet, the view from the terrace is splendid. Obviously the accommodation is a little dated but it is in part all its charm. Ingar is adorable and gave great advice.

A wonderful house and impeccable hospitality! We lived in this house for a long period, and we couldn’t be more satisfied with our experience. The house is cozy, well-maintained, and equipped with everything we needed. The surroundings outside the house truly captivated and enchanted us. A special thanks to our hosts, who were incredibly kind and always available. Every request or question we had was handled promptly and with great care, making us feel welcomed and supported throughout our stay. We highly recommend this house to anyone looking for a peaceful and comfortable place, with the assurance of being hosted by thoughtful and professional people. We stayed at Oyster-Catcher Monday to Friday, at the end of September and we are incredibly happy with our stay here. The view was amazing no matter the weather. We felt at home in the cabin and here was everything we needed of equipment etc. It was beautiful and peaceful here on Ekkerøy and it was amazing to be so close to the sea. Lots of nice to see here, an eldorado for photo enthusiasts! Ingjerd was nice and helpful and gave us great tips for our journey to Vardø. We will come back, preferably to experience another season here on Ekkerøy. Thanks for us!

We had a very pleasant stay in Kibylodge; the house and its surroundings are lovely. Despite being spacious, the house feels comfortable and cozy, even for just two people. The amenities are well thought out, with everything you might need, and the washing machine is a particularly useful feature. The area is quiet and offers plenty of scenic spots, which are great for photography. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend the premise.

When we saw the pictures of the house on the AirBNB website, we thought to ourselves that this must be the most beautiful view from a living room, one could image - and it was... The house is really right next to the fjord, and eating breakfast with such surroundings in the background is sooo fantastic nutrition for the soul. The house is high quality and looks modern with a lot of nostalgic inventory from the family. You felt home right away. Vetli was an amazing host that even before we booked, was helpful in all ways. I can only recommend. There is a lot of rules in the house, but they all make sense, so don't take that as a bad thing. It only makes one more caring for the house. We went hiking nearby, and we found some amazing views. We also went to nearby locations to look for orcas and whales and we found them at the glacier. Don't ever cheat yourself for an experience, like we had. We will be back again.

So we were able to enjoy the aurora wonderfully. Small downer: the bedroom (no picture) is so small that the bed can only be climbed from one side. At night, both people are always awake when the window is leaving the bed. No closet for storing laundry The shower is built into the slope, difficult for tall people

Very nice and cozy place to stay. Only the traffic of the road next to the house was a little disruptive when you wanted to keep the windows open. Instead, the neighbors didn't know anything, which is a very peaceful house.

We spent two weeks of hiking, reading and leisure in this wonderful area; wherever we walk, the view is amazing, whomever we meet, we experience friendliness, whenever we return to the house, we can feel a warm welcome. Thanks to the sharing of some moltebær, we could find some ripe fruits, which we now dared to eat - as delicious, as the ones, Laila provided. The two weeks fly away in a flash... Though, we just left, the desire to return starts growing.

Really excellences house on two floors, very well maintained. It was very pleasant, we had two very nice days here! 5/5 stars. We would have loved to stay longer.

A perfect stay in a wonderful place! The house is very comfortable, very large, and nicely furnished. We did not meet our guest but she made everything easy by being highly responsive. I definitely recommend this place and wish we can come back soon!

Really lovely basement apartment with a lot of nice touches, including good lighting and a sauna we made use of. Marina was really friendly and welcoming, and the surrounding views could not be beat. It is in walking distance of the grocery store, which is a plus!
