Vacation rentals in Finnish Lakeland

Our group of seven spent four nights at Miia's cottage on the shores of Linnansaari National Park. We had an excellent time! The main cottage is on the small side for seven, the three kids were going to sleep in a loft space but with the noise challenges of lofts we elected to have them sleep in the sauna cottage, which has a beautiful sleeping space. We took full advantage of the ping pong table, darts, hot tub and sauna(s). We also rowed over to nearby islands several times (tons of mushrooms growing over there!). There were no other people nearby, really, so it felt very private. The back deck is perfect for lounging and eating meals when the weather is good. Miia helped us find a local fishing guide and gave us other helpful recommendations. We popped south to Savonlinna one day to walk the town and have a meal. All in all, we highly recommend a stay at Miia's!

Such a restful stay at Paulina's gorgeous cabin. It was absolutely magical in winter and we loved exploring the area on foot. Paulina was extremely responsive and helpful at all times. Would definitely recommend to others.

A fancy wilderness cottage on a stunning hillside with clear waters. Lapland vibe in the south. I'm sure we'll come back!

The place is ideal! We had booked a house but for last minute cleaning he changed us to a better cabin and with nice views similar to what we had booked, he always responded to everything he was very attentive and helped us a lot at check-in and check-out since at the departure there had been a great snowfall , he let us leave later and everything! The truth is that everything is beautiful 100% recommended in every way! I will be back

This was my third time visiting Heikki’s place, and as always, everything was wonderful. The house was exceptionally clean and well equipped, making our stay very comfortable. We reserved the hot tub, and it was an incredible experience during the winter—truly a highlight of our visit. The grill room was also very convenient in the cold weather. Heikki was incredibly helpful and responsive, ensuring we felt truly welcomed. The only minor suggestion for improvement would be the mattresses and pillows, as they were not completely comfortable. Overall, it was another great stay, and I highly recommend Heikki’s place. Thank you again for your hospitality!

It's nice to spend time fishing in Puruvesi. Warm recommendation. The location couldn't be better.

A clean, well-located apartment. The host was helpful and responded to messages quickly. A parking spot in the yard is a plus. Olavinlinna Castle is a very short walk away. Nearby K-store open until 24:00 in the summer

Our best Finnish holiday yet! A super comfortable apartment right in the town centre (we managed without a hire car), all the beds and kitchen items top quality and lovely views to enjoy. No sauna but there's a public one on the lake, a 3-min walk away. We paid €13, wore swimsuits and met the friendly locals who go there every week. Fresh lake fish available to buy at the market. Went skiing at Messilä one day, superb. And the ice skating is free of charge in Heinola! We will be back for sure. Kiitos!
