Family-friendly vacation rentals in Fair Haven

While the access road is not for the faint of heart and more closets/clothing storage is needed, the cabin was very clean, well-stocked and organized. There were plenty of movies to choose from and a big firepit to enjoy. The property manager, Mike, was very responsive, knowledgeable and helpful. All in all, the cabin is a lovely place to spend a few days relaxing and enjoying the incredible view.

My family and I decided on a spontaneous trip to upstate New York from North Carolina, and I’m thrilled I chose Drift Away as our accommodation in the Finger Lakes. This home is right on Seneca Lake, offering breathtaking views. The master bedroom is my favorite, with its incredible scenery and the delightful experience of stargazing at night. My kids had a blast with the spiral staircase and the Pac-Man game system upstairs. We also enjoyed the hot tub during our late November stay. The nighttime atmosphere at Drift Away is wonderfully peaceful, especially in the master bedroom where the sound of the waves lulls you to sleep. Accessing the front door involves a steep staircase, as parking is above the house, and we found it easy to back down the road when leaving. If you’re new to the area, I recommend arriving during daylight. Overall, our family absolutely loved this house!

Thanks so much, Merry for letting us stay at this place. The house is amazing, it's clean and peaceful and has everything you would need to make the stay wonderful. We had our 10 month old baby with us, and Merry made sure there's a high chair and a pack n play for the baby. The house could use a refill on some coffee and some bath essentials, but overall I would 100% recommend this place to anyone looking for an accessible and beautiful place to stay near the finger lakes! Would definitely stay here again if I am visiting finger lakes, thanks again for hosting us!

Lots of places can claim to be rustic but few can claim to be historic and Diane's place is that. The colonial fireplace and the scored 18th century beams give it an authentic feel of a bygone age. More importantly the hospitality was off the charts. Fire was going already on a freezing night, delicious oatmeal chocolate cookies that the kids raved about, farm fresh eggs in the fridge that we used for breakfast. Location is in 20 minute range of several historical towns - Geneva, Seneca Falls, and Palmyra at least. Loved our brief stay, would gladly return in warmer weather.

Location. Comfort. Price. All wrapped up in one. Had a nice, relaxing stay while visiting son at SUNY. A great choice for a weekend stay instead of the local hotels.

This was an absolutely wonderful place to stay. Even when it was cold, grey, and rainy outside, the home was incredibly cozy and the hot tub was wonderful when the rain subsided. It’s even more beautiful than the pictures and we had such a great view. If I come back to visit with a group this size again, this would definitely be where I’d stay. Thank you!

Beautiful home and location. Laura was excellent to deal with and always responsive. First Airbnb I have ever stayed at and it was easy. Great location for shopping, dining and wineries.

Not one detail was missed. The cabin was clean, very well decorated, and as described in the listing. The natural surroundings truly make it a great getaway. For my coffee lovers...bring instant. There is a tiny coffee maker in the cabin but no grounds or filters. I understand not wanting to generate too much waste, but a Keurig would have made my mornings looking at the lake, THAT much better. There was a little gas station about 3 miles away luckily.

Our family spent Thanksgiving weekend in the Rise & Wine House and it was a hit! The house was very well-equipped, clean and located perfectly between Watkins Glen and Geneva on the west coast of Seneca Lake. The neighbor's horses were so beautiful to watch run and play in the morning with the lake in the background. Sunrises were beautiful as well. My husband and I have been to Seneca several times, but never rented a house. We brought our parents and son (and Mini Doxie) and ALL of them now want to come back and explore more. It was cold, so of course, we didn't sit on the porch or use the fire pit... and it didn't matter one bit because the views from the great room are beautiful any way you slice it! We spent a surprise birthday weekend in the Railcar for my husband. My husband is a a huge rail fan which made this gift a no brainer. We boated, swam, kayaked, fished, hung out by the firepit and made great memories. We even spotted a Bald Eagle soaring over the water.

This is a great place to stay in Skaneatles. Very close to town and very clean.

Thank you for sharing you property with us. My kids had so much fun with the boats and the great fishing. They also loved the rope swing. Comfortable furniture, really good amount of cookware, and various items around like bug spray or drinking water, life vests, first aid kit, and boats! Good amount of boats/kayaks to use. Friendly host and felt welcomed and at home. There is a gas grill that works very good, and also a set up so that you can grill over fire...very cool. Inside there is a propane stove top making morning eggs and potatoes easy. Excellent silence too, being so away from main roads. Saw a lot of birds, and there is plenty of bass. Very fair price for convenient and well seasoned fire wood. Great stay. I recommend.

Great rental with lots to do in the nearby area. Kid friendly. Host was very responsive and helpful. Would definitely come back.

Hosted an extended family gathering for Syracuse University graduation. The 25 minute drive to campus was easy and worth it to stay here. Everyone enjoyed the house and farm before and after graduation events. This place was so delightful- everything as described - I was sad we weren’t able to stay longer.

Beautiful house looking over Seneca lake was a perfect fit for our weekend. The house was clean and very spacious. It is in a great location to all the wineries and breweries. Highly recommend and would come back.

Great home. We didn’t use the pool but it was sparkling clean and beautiful as was the yard and house. Mike’s a great host and the beds were super comfortable. Close to family and a good place to stay.
