This was a great stay for a weekend away to celebrate my birthday with my husband. It was very quiet & peaceful, and the view was beautiful. We wish we could have spent more time outside to enjoy it, but it was just a bit too chilly. We did have an opportunity to sit by the fire pit and watch the swans! We found some good restaurants not too far away and overall we were very happy with everything. The heated floor in the bathroom was awesome!

Great location at Chincoteague! Very clean, and amenities in this home are great! Kitchen is fully-stocked with all the basic necessities to be able to make home-cooked meals, even on vacation. My 5-yr old appreciated the toys and books available. My husband appreciated the milk steamer on the coffee machine. I appreciated the indoor wood shutters on the windows. Chip and Courtney is also very proactive and easy to communicate with. I would stay here again when visiting Chincoteague in the future.

Had a nice mini stay over Easter weekend. Lovely home, so cute and comfortable. Loved the main bedroom with the covered porch. The house was so clean and everything worked really well, no issues at all during our stay.

Christy's house had everything needed for a two night stay or even a month long stay. The house is in a quiet residential neighborhood about a 1/2 mile walk to downtown, but just down the street from the water. The house has a really cozy and screened outside space which is perfect during summer. Overall, the house is small but lives large.

Very good spot for a small family trip to Tangier (I came alone, so it was more than enough.) The house is spotless, and Travis has some extras there for his guests (coffee, water, fishing rods, board games for young kids on a rainy day.) Travis also sent me the phone number for an evening ferry off the island, which was extremely helpful. I had a great stay at Travis' place, and would stay here again. I hope to soon.

We’ve Thought of Everything So You Can Relax!

If you want to get away from it all and feel right at home, this is the place to be. The house is beautiful, the rooms were all spotless and beautifully furnished. The kitchen is very well equipped. I also loved the little porch and porch swing with a view of the pond. The beach and some good hikes (to see the ponies) are just a short drive away. Check-in was super easy with a personalized code. Michelle always responded immediately to any question we had. We really enjoyed our stay on Chincoteaque Island. It's unique place.

Sea Glass Cottage - The best relaxation vacation.

Sea Glass Cottage was a delight! The house was very clean, bright and totally charming! Doris has everything you could need for a couple nights or extended stay. I would suggest everyone who stays read her "Welcome" book. She has great suggestions for dining, sightseeing, art galleries, etc. Beds are comfortable and the bathroom is VERY large. Onancock is a fun, charming town to visit. We will definitely return and, if Doris will have us, we'll be staying at Sea Glass Cottage. Thanks Doris for a great visit! Cheryl and Jerry

"Time Out" was exactly what our family needed for a few days over Spring Break! Upon arrival, we were greeted with a thoughtful welcome basket, which was such a wonderful treat. The home was exactly as described and made us feel so comfortable and relaxed. The added bonus of being able to bring our fur-baby made our visit all the better! With a fenced-in backyard along with necessary pet clean-up tools/bags in the shed, we had everything we needed! This was our first visit to Cape Charles, and the location of the home was absolutely perfect; situated right "in-town" and across the street from the park/playground. A huge "thank you" to Heidi for being so responsive, helpful, and clear with instructions. We felt right at home here, and will be sure to stay at "Time Out" on our next visit to Cape Charles. Thank you!!

The home was spotless and very nicely decorated with a beach/seaside theme. It’s very close to Kiptopeke state park and several other points of interest. If you’re a kayaker, boater or an angler, this location is perfect. There are many spots within 10 minutes to launch kayaks or boats. Rural area but within 5 minutes of a convenience store and maybe a 10 minute drive to Food Lion.

I loved my stay at Barbara's little cottage, it is just the right size for one or two people and the kitchen is great , fully equipped, so I can prepare meals. it is local to Chincoteague National Park and to restaurants and gift stores. Barbara surprised me with a small gift under a small lighted tree as it was near the holidays and was very helpful with my every need. I will definitely stay again here next time I come!

We thoroughly enjoyed our comfortable, peaceful stay in this house and took advantage of the waterfront for fishing off the dock and canoeing in the bay. The open plan kitchen and family room were great for relaxing and the picture windows were spectacular. While the kitchen is well equipped for home cooking, we highly recommend a visit to the Merroir Tasting Room and Deltaville Tap & Rawbar.

The beauty of Cape Charles is unmatched! This home has plenty of space, is in a great location with wonderful neighbors (till next time, Martin!), and has a fully stocked kitchen. The beds are comfortable and hosts supply extras that I haven’t seen offered in other AirBnb rentals we’ve stayed at. The host is very responsive which is appreciated.

Fantastic location! The place is sparkling clean & great for a family stay! Fully equipped with everything you need! Walkable distance to the beach and the best of it all is the golf cart rental offered! So worth it! Very close to shops & restaurants! There’s a beautiful park right by the property for the parents to enjoy a walk and kids to enjoy their time after a beach day or for early mornings walks!

We loved our stay at Maria’s place! We stayed two nights and wished we had booked longer. Peaceful setting, super clean, and an easy walk to Irvington where we enjoyed daily coffee and breakfast at The Local, and ate dinner at both Dredge and The Office. We brought our bikes and rented an extra from Rappahannock Outfitters (at Maria’s suggestion) and it was waiting on the porch when we arrived. Biked over to the public pickleball courts—nice outdoor courts—and then to Tides Inn where we enjoyed walking the Shoreline Trail. Spent a magical half day at Hughlett Natural Preserve! At the end of the day we loved sitting on the back screened porch—great for reading, playing games, and listening to the birds in the woods behind the cottage. Don’t miss stargazing over the meadow! Beds were super comfy and clean. We would definitely stay again!

The Shell Hunter was a beautiful place to return after each day of exploring. The home had every amenity needed for a cozy peaceful stay. I even think the home is more lovely than the pictures can capture. There are spaces to come together but also more than enough room if individual time is needed.

Loved our stay! The house was extremely clean and living room couches and beds were very comfortable and in great shape. The house was a perfect getaway for our family, and the one level interior and just a few steps at the outside doors made it so easy for our young children and old dog. Would definitely stay again.

Cute, clean and very comfortable cottage with beautiful bay front large lot. Screened in porch was huge and definitely the place to be along with a lovely beach side covered wooden shelter with brand new rocking Adirondack chairs for relaxing and enjoying the gorgeous view. Unfortunately, the weather did not cooperate during our stay ( rainy, cold and windy ) but we could still enjoy the view from inside! Fun towns to explore within 30 minutes and good restaurants with great seafood. ( Best crab cake ever at The Oyster Farm in Cape Charles and best mussels at Mallards in Onancock. ) Would definitely rent this cottage again if back in the area.

This is such a unique property! It was perfect for our family. We knew the weather was going to be cold and rainy for ~half our visit, but Jessica’s house did not disappoint. There is so much to do, which resulted in priceless family time. When the weather cleared, we fully enjoyed the outside amenities. The pickleball court, sauna, and hot tub were big hits. Jessica is a great communicator and enabled a memorable Spring Break for our kids.

This is a super cute place right on the water! It’s arranged in a way that feels comfortable and maximizes the space. It has everything you need! We loved staying here with our dog and one year old. The beach is a very easy walk and watching the sunrise on the deck is magical. Don’t miss the kind of hidden second bathroom tucked in with the laundry, it’s very handy!
