Vacation rentals with outdoor seating in Essex County

We were looking forward to an extended weekend rock climbing in the Adirondacks. This was a perfect base camp for our family of four. We were walking distance to great restaurants after an active day outside. The beds are comfortable. The location is central. Modern internet and TV were great for movies at night. I would recommend!

We have stayed here repeatedly, and always love this house. Emily is super responsive and helpful, and the property is amazing.

The place was perfect for 2 couples looking to spend a weekend in the beautiful Adirondack trails. If you want to save on food (cook by yourself I mean) and be within a 25min drive of everything, this is perfect. Thanks Vinny!

Our experience of Philip's place was great. Easy to get to, get in, find the things we needed. Great amenities, shampoos, soaps, snacks, teas, coffee. Heat was on when we arrived, which made it feel that much more welcoming. Was perfect!

Our weekend stay at the Farmhouse was exactly what we were looking for: it was quiet, cozy and full of love & joy. Jodi and Neil have done a spectacular job curating this lovely little farmhouse with so many details and amenities. We truly felt like we were home during our stay. We were grateful to be able to bring our doggo Dwight along. He absolutely enjoyed the fenced in back yard! We highly recommend this spot if you are in the Lake Placid & Saranac Lake area and we look forward to booking our next stay. Jodi and Neil, Thank you for everything!!

My family (3 upper elementary kids & my husband) and I loved our stay at this cottage. It was clean, cozy, just the right space for a home away from home. I was glad for only one TV, a very well-stocked kitchen, and proximity to various hiking trails (our main goal for our time). I will caution that people moving through the world in large bodies may find parts of this home difficult to navigate (shower, downstairs toilet) but that is what comes with many older buildings. Saul and Robert communicated with me quickly and thoroughly, and they welcomed my feedback on minor improvements/repairs the home needs. I highly recommend this space and will more than likely stay here again whenever we make our way back to the Adirondack Park region!

We are returning for a second stay to Irish and Phil’s Cozy Cottage and it was perfect for us again! Super easy to get to the village of Lake Placid, pet and kid friendly makes it a much better choice than the local hotels. Definitely recommend!

This place was amazing! It fit 7 adults perfectly with plenty of space. We were able to walk everywhere on Main Street which was very convenient. The view from the air bnb is breathtaking! The hot tub, pool table, fire place and bar area is great for a cozy/fun night in. Would definitely stay here again!

Clean, comfortable and convenient. An easy walk into town, a very nice and quiet neighborhood. The host lives right downstairs, and she was nice and helpful. I was there for the Ironman and this was the perfect place.

Angela provided some invaluable local tips on parking as well as customizing the access code for ease of entry. Very nice touches. The only issue was that the soaking tub’s drain would not close properly so it would not fill. It was discovered on a Saturday night so I was not expecting to get someone in on Sunday. Angela did try by providing a drain stopper to no avail. That being said, this place was still a SOLID 5 Star considering the many fine points including the awesome shower & the outstanding location. I would hear again!

Nice old house! Very cozy and comfortable!

5 Stars Brian’s 1-bedroom apartment was a delightful place to stay! The space was beautifully maintained, with super-fast Wi-Fi and located just 15 minutes from Lake Placid. Brian and his wife were incredibly kind and welcoming. The outdoor amenities, including the fire pit and patio, added a cozy touch. The shower had excellent water pressure and was always hot a nice bonus! The kitchen was fully stocked with dishes, silverware, and cookware, making it easy to prepare meals. We also appreciated the thoughtful food recommendations provided, which helped us explore the local dining scene. One highlight was returning from the Christmas parade in Jay to see the festive lights adorning the house it made the experience even more magical. I’d definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to others!

It was wonderful as always! But sadly & unfortunately when we got home to Montrose PA we had terrible rain & snow and our house has lost its power!!! It’s been for going on 3 days and Alan & I have had to get a small hotel or a room in Binghamton NY since our large house is SOOO cold. We were told that the electricity should come on tomorrow (Sunday) early afternoon. We are praying for that to happen! Thanks again for a wonderful place to stay and relax. Great place to stay in Lake Placid! It is a 5 minute drive to the main area of Lake Placid, but this area is much quieter than the Main Street core. We were here for the Ironman and the location is just a 3 minute drive to the shuttle busses so very convenient! Claire was a great host. Would love to stay again if we get the chance to come back.

We have been staying at Sherri’s locations for years and will continue to do so. She’s very responsive and helpful if any issues arise — that has been very rare over the past 5-6 years. We will continue to book with her!!

We stayed for two nights and had an amazing time! Robin’s place was even better in person than in the photos, and we immediately felt comfortable and cozy as soon as we walked in. The place was clean, well-equipped, and had a wonderful charm to it. Moreover, Robin herself was an extremely communicative host; she gave us local tips and was helpful and flexible during check-out. We would definitely love to stay again.

Our family of five had a wonderful stay. The location is perfect. The view from the condo of the lake is beautiful. We loved being able to use the amenities at the High Peaks Resort. We walked each night into town for dinner. The living space is very comfortable and the bedrooms were also comfortable. We would definitely stay here again.

Lana was a great host and showed us around the place when we checked in. She let us check in sooner than planned which was great after a long travel day. The place was quiet, serene and comfortable. The showers were "amazing". My husband is over 6ft tall, so it's hard to find showers he can fit in comfortably. The beds were comfortable and the space was perfect. I'm not a fan of leather and that's all there was to sit on on the living room but I completely get why that's what is used, especially in an Airbnb with spills and germs for cleaning purposes. I just used a blanket to sit on, problem solved. She is doing some renovations and explained the new amenities coming soon. I would definitely recommend. Many thanks for a great experience.

Beautiful view from back of condo! Convenient location, walk to everything. Kitchen stocked with all essentials, spacious and clean. Beds very comfortable! Sauna an added bonus after hiking & boating all day! Hope to back next summer! Thank you Michelle!

Condo matches the pictures, but the view is far better than the pictures. Very comfortable space and open floor plan. Kitchen was well stocked, we cooked in a couple nights and had everything we needed to prep meals. Having three full bathrooms was great (we had 4 adults and two kids). Easy walk to the middle of town and all the restaurants/shops, but far enough away that it didn’t feel busy. Coffee on the balcony was an amazing way to start the day. We’ve been going to lake placid for 20+ years and have stayed many places - this is one of the best views we’ve had while still being right in the village. Highly recommended.

Camp Bearadise was perfect for our weekend getaway with friends. It was located just down the road from a wedding we attended at The Whiteface Lodge. Our kids enjoyed the bunk room and the other 3 rooms were very comfortable, as well -especially since each bedroom has its own bathroom! The kitchen is clean and spacious, and looks like it is well equipped to cook, though we did not. We would definitely return for another stay, hopefully longer next time!

Our family really enjoyed our stay at Kathy's! The place was very clean and comfortable, and there was plenty of room for the 6 of us. The kitchen was well stocked, and all linens were fresh. The location was very convenient to all that Lake Placid has to offer but also removed just enough to have some quiet time away from the bustle of all the shops. We will definitely stay here again if we return to Lake Placid in the future. I highly recommend!

The place was very clean and very accommodating and comfortable. We felt right at home and safe. The king bed in the master bedroom was very comfortable. Would highly recommend and would stay again.
