Great home close to Pocahontas State Park. Plenty of space and a spacious yard (which we ended up not needing as I didn't bring my dogs).

This cabin was everything we wanted and more! It’s in the perfect location, just a short drive to so many activities but also tucked away offering privacy. The house was so cozy it put us at ease as soon as we walked in. The owner was proactive and very quick to respond, including sending a great packing and local activity list a couple days in advance of our trip which came in very handy. Activities: This rental comes with guest passes to the private Shark Tooth Beach where our kids had so much fun finding real shark and manta ray teeth in the sand! Westmorland State Park and George Washington’s Birthplace both had great hiking and beaches for the kids. We visited Garners Produce twice where the kids fed animals and pedaled toy tractor’s while we picked up farm fresh milk and eggs. We spent our afternoons kayaking on the quiet lake soaking up the sunshine. We will definitely book another vacation at this cabin. You will not be disappointed with your stay at this little gem!

I’ve stayed at a lot of Airbnb’s and this was easily one of the best. Everything was exactly as described, and maybe even better than described. It had tons of amenities and a well stocked kitchen perfect for our large family. Spotless and beautiful. I highly recommend this home and would gladly stay there again.

Really nice quiet place on the James River. Kitchen and living room/breakfast area served our family really well. The house is close to the Jamestown ferry which allowed us easy access to the historical sights of Jamestown, Williamsburg and Yorktown and some great restaurants in Williamsburg. A great place.

A beautiful setting and a well appointed house, perfect for group gatherings. The lake at this end is very peaceful, lots of herons and geese, and the surrounding water and marshes are gorgeous to kayak through. Kitchen has everything you’d need for any range of possible meals. Beds very comfortable, bathrooms spotless and include soap/shampoo dispensers, and we loved having a range of seating areas. The hot tub is a really nice one! A few things that may be useful for future guests to pack or know: the dock and deck have no furniture if you want to pack beach chairs (we did). The water on this side is comparatively shallow but fine to put a pontoon or canoe in. We did wish for screen doors on the many large back doors to enjoy the breeze, but used the screened in porch for that. Don’t forget beach towels! The upstairs living room doesn’t have a TV, though the downstairs one is huge (this was fine for us but others may want to be aware when they pick bedrooms).

Very well setup home with a great location for all of the historic triangle activities. Walkable for a few restaurants (<1mi) and very easy to get in an out of. Only item to be aware of is the morning traffic if you are sensitive to road noise but it doesn't pickup until closer to 7AM. The home has everything you need and enough space to relax after a full day walking the historic sites. Spence is a fantastic host and extremely quick to respond to any questions. He even provided some recommended activities and family friendly options for the kids. We will be looking to return once the kids are a bit older for our Busch Gardens trip.

Check-in was smooth. Deluxe 2 bedroom was very nice and large enough for my entire party. Beds were comfortable and everything was clean. Sorry we couldn’t stay longer to enjoy the resort amenities - but had a lovely stay. Would stay again.

Really big house decorated with very cool antiques. Plenty of room and everything you need to feel at home. The host is amazing so helpful and is prepared for your situation. Highly recommend this country mansion style house.
