Vacation rentals in Embilipitiya

Thank you for this great stay! A very nice and welcoming family, we had a lovely week. The apartment is very nice with two large bedrooms, a nice terrace and good kitchen. The place is nice in nature we loved it! I highly recommend it.

What a beautiful place to stay. The house is huge with lots of artifacts from various places. The pool was welcome in the heat (as was the à/c) and morning and evening we could see squirrels and monkeys in the trees. The highlight has to be the hosts though. Pavithri and Rajithra are the most hospitable, friendly, helpful and caring people we have met during our time in Sri Lanka. Nothing was too much trouble. Rajithra cooked us the most incredible meal on our second night, he is a fabulous chef! Unfortunately, due to some dodgy food eaten in the morning we weren’t able to take full advantage due to being ill. Throughout the next 36 hours they could not have been more attentive, bringing us water and breakfast when we finally felt able to eat something. They had also arranged for us to go whale watching and hold a party for my husband’s birthday, both of which had to be cancelled. Thank you both so much for welcoming us into your home and being two of the loveliest people we have met.

Our stay was beyond amazing! The hosts were not just accommodating, but genuinely caring and attentive, making us feel welcome. The delightful troop of monkeys added a magical touch to our mornings, creating unforgettable memories. The pool was our sanctuary, providing a perfect retreat after our adventures. This is a gorgeous bungalow with the exact name of the Dream Bungalow! Thank you very much Anke for your hospitality. We were ready to help at any time for any question. The bungalow itself is as authentic as possible inside and out, with a magnificent view of the white sand and the cleanest ocean. Only you can not swim nearby because of the current, you need to walk literally 10 minutes to the place where you can swim. The sounds of the ocean lull in the night and relax by day. A desert beach without tourists makes the holiday peaceful. I recommend to you all! This is love and we will come back here for sure)

I dont normally write reviews. But Mohan was such a great host i felt he deserved it. One of the few places where pictures downplay it. I didnt realize there was an entire kitchen. Bathroom was big. Aircon was good. Wifi is fiber and fast - which is RARE in Sri lanka. Room was clean. Mohan left work early to greet me. He also invites guest to his home for a family dinner. The bus stop is a minute walk. Buses come every 5-10 mins and its 50 rupees to go into main district. Or you can rent a scooter from Mohan. Beach is a 5 minute walk with snorkelling and diving. I only stayed for a short while but i definitely think it’s a good long term stay for price and wifi. It’s also quiet.

Lovely place to just chill and relax!

A great place to stay in Hiriketiya - 10/10. Only a couple minutes walk from restaurants and the beach, it's a fantastic location but also away from the main road so feels secluded and quiet. We stayed in Villa 1 which was perfect for a couple over a few nights. The room was clean and well maintained, and the outdoor area and pool is lovely. Jude is very responsive over text and was really helpful with local recommendations and travel advice. We would absolutely recommend this place to people staying in Hiriketiya and wanting a relaxed few days.

Jasin is the BEST host ever. No, really. So nice, polite and helpful. He has his business right across the street and is always available for questions, needs and concerns. He even treated us with a little surprise very day 🥹 (I’m not gonna tell you what it was, you will Find out for yourself). The cottage he built himself and it turned out super beautiful, clean and has everything you need (kitchen, bathroom, terrace are a dream!). We stayed longer than we had planned because we liked it so much.
