Excellent location. Less than 10 minutes to city center by car. It is located 2 and 3 blocks from two main avenues. Private and charming apartment. Located in a neighborhood that does not get affected by the frequent power outages the rest of the city has to endure. 100% recommended, great, friendly and responsive host.

Maurice and Lizet are wonderful hosts. They are very friendly and warm and took great care of us. The casa is beautiful and clean and has the cutest little watchdog ever! ;) The rooms are spacious, with several beds and a large bathroom. You can make yourself comfortable on the roof terrace and have a delicious breakfast there. Lizet makes very tasty omellets! The Casa is in the center of Santiago de Cuba, so you can easily walk to many places. We had a great time and I can only recommend it. If you want to experience Santiago, this casa is the right starting point!

Large bedroom and fully equipped kitchen, cold AC and a very comfortable bed and patio to sit and relax outside. Just a 5 minute walk to a restaurant and 10 minutes to the center with lots of shops and a lot of museums. Quiet neighborhood, safe. Very friendly family, lots of local recommendations, speak both English and Spanish. I had a wonderful stay, very recommended!

From the first moment you enter this house you already realize that you have been right with your choice, Barbara with her smile when opening the door welcomes you and there we were very comfortable, it was like an oasis in the desert. You share the house with the family, but we were upstairs and the intimacy is total. It has an area with a kitchen and a totally independent open-air patio. The breakfasts she gave us were great, with fried eggs, juices, fruit and everything... a luxury the truth. We were also offered ice cream that we had at our disposal in the fridge in the room, that was a great surprise that we thanked. The only one but, to say something, is the little pressure in the shower, the rest is perfect. Both Barbara and Maikel her husband make your stay very pleasant by helping you with whatever you might need. It's nice to meet people like that, I would return to this house without hesitation if I ever return to Santiago de Cuba.

Carlos and Susana assisted us during our stay in Jose Raúl's house. They were always available for any need and we didn't miss anything. The house is well cared for, clean and well equipped. There are even emergency power outlets in case of a blackout (the "blackouts" are quite frequent in Cuba). The listing description is consistent with the amenities offered and home spaces. The staff is of an exquisite kindness with the breakfasts you need upon request. I recommend booking!

About a 10 minute walk to the central square/park, the unit is very clean and comfortable. A nationwide power outage that lasted my entire 2 night stay made it somewhat less than perfect, but that is not the host's fault. AC came on for a couple of hours on the last night, and worked well. The breakfast offered for a nominal extra cost was lovely on the upstairs veranda. Hector (Rene) knows a good guide/driver who took me around to show me the sights and in particular some good (one that was outstanding near the fort) restaurants.

We enjoyed our stay and Yusleidis is a wonderful and helpful host. Our Spanish was limited but Yusleidis has sufficient English so we were able to communicate. Guests should realize that this is casa particulares style accommodation, modest, but very clean and comfortable. Yolande cooks a wonderful breakfast. Location is very central, a short walk from Parc Cedpedes, the centre of the old city area. Recommended.
