Vacation rentals in Egremont

Had a great break at Anthony's lovely cottage.The weather was gloomy but was so good to return to a cosy home after a walk in the hills just behind the house. Hope we can return in the growing season to see it at it's best.

We spent New Year at Waterside. The lodge was beautifully decorated for Christmas/New Year. The rooms were spacious and we really liked that there was two bedrooms. It was so cosy in the lodge. Great views when weather allowed. Due to weather didn’t get a lot of use of hot tub but was clean and warm. We’d definitely go back in the future. Karen was a top host in communicating and gave clear directions to get there.

Really enjoyed our 3 night stay. We arrived just after over a foot of snow had settled so getting down the long drive was difficult for us. After speaking with Amy, her father was there within the hour with his tractor clearing the entire drive of the snow. Can't fault the support and the place was stunning.

To date, our most comfortable stay away from home! Pictures are amazing but will never do it justice! Going in January meant the site was quiet which suited us perfectly. The ski bar was still open which we did not expect. We definitely want to come back in the summer as it’s right on the lake and there are plenty of activities being advertised on site. Thanks for a great stay!

We very much enjoyed our time at the Teapot Cottage. The cottage was clean, modern and well decorated, and very close to the stunning Ennerdale Lake. We were impressed by the welcome basket, which was full of local cakes and breads! Though we didn’t use the pizza oven or barbecue, we did brave the hot tub (in December!) and it was well worth it. The cottage had everything we needed, and had a real cosy feel that was perfect for a Christmas break. We did have some issues with noise coming from the rental next door, however this was just bad luck. Lamissa was also very responsive and proactive, and did everything she could to address this. Overall, the Teapot Cottage is the perfect place if you are looking for a relaxing break (with a little bit of luxury!). We would definitely come back.

Just home from three days at Maple Leaf cottage with family. The cottage was tastefully decorated throughout and spacious and immaculately clean. Best of all was the location. Just two mins walk from both the rail station, buses and local pubs. Plus only a mile or so from Bowness pier.

Unfussy, cosy, well equipped cottage in friendly residential village, located in a beautiful part of the world. Short walk to lovely estuary and 5 mins drive to Arnside Village. Spotlessly clean and well looked after. Everything worked as it should. Greeted on arrival by Anne, who was cheerful and helpful. Village shop 10 feet from the back gate! Nearby Milnthorpe and Kendal for other amenities. Would love to go back.

It was a really good stay for my girlfriend’s birthday. She was very helpful. I’d never used air bnb before. And arranged this last minute.

Wonderful place - all the little details thought of and catered for. We particularly enjoyed the views from the hot tub after a nice walk in the lovely local area. Beautifully decked out house with character features but still with all the modern amenities and comforts one expects. We would recommend this place to anyone .

A perfect spot for a rare child free night. We felt well looked after and the apartment spoiled us. Stunning interiors, great location and just what we needed. Carolyn and Chris were fantastic hosts who were quick to respond. The stay exceeded our expectations. Will visit again.

We absolutely loved our Christmas at Seaglass Cottage. The hosts were great, answered any questions, gave us detailed instructions for check-in and even put up a Christmas tree and decorations for us. We were very lucky with the weather, enjoying walks along the beach right outside, we even found some seaglass (we felt like children!). The property was very clean, the bedding smelled so fresh, the kitchen had everything you might need, very clean bathroom and handy downstairs loo. Every evening we would sit in the cosy conservatory enjoying a glass of wine, watching the sun go down, people walking along the beachpath with their dogs and then into the lounge for a real log fire. It was perfect and we can't wait to return!
