Everything was just as good if not better than what we expected. We had a terrible snow storm and the family was out shoveling the sidewalks and driveways to make sure our experience was 2nd to none! We will be booking this place again this year!

We loved the cottage and the beautiful lake! Enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere and our time here with family! Everything was clean and fresh!

Very peaceful property! Spend time with family and had plenty of space. Was super excited we could bring the dogs! Everything worked as it should. Had to buy a few small things (paper towels, aluminum foil, Kleenex, hand soap, etc.) but everything else was provided. Loved having it about 15 minutes to the lake. We grilled, played yard games and enjoyed the fire pit! Overall great place!

This was our first Airbnb experience. This home felt like home away from home. Such a needed blessing as we were in Iowa for the passing a dear family member. The accommodations were perfect for the age range of our children which includes a few adults. We specifically chose this home because we are familiar with the hospitality of the Mennonite community in the Leon area. We knew we would feel at home and safe there. The hosts went above and beyond our expectations. No details were left out. Upon arrival there was a lovely gift basket with goodies. A nice selection of hot beverages to prepare. They had everything needed to prepare meals and even a few staples in the fridge and pantry.. They even had a little shelf with appropriate toys, coloring books etc for young children. Truly a family oriented place to stay. Our family enjoyed visiting one another around the living room. Thank you for making a very difficult time for our family easier.

This was a great place! If I could I would come back and stay more than one night. The only things I would mention are that the switch in the kitchen that you think is a light switch is the garbage disposal, so watch out haha, and if you are staying a Saturday night be aware that none of the restaurants in town will be open for breakfast Sunday morning (but that's not Verlin and Shannon's fault). The place is clean, welcoming and peaceful. There were helpful instructions everywhere, and little gifts and amenities throughout. We had no trouble staying warm, plenty of blankets. The coffee is a Keurig. The layout is great, with one of the bathrooms being in a bedroom and the other available to the whole house. All in all it was perfect for us passing through headed north, but if you have reason to be in the area for longer avail yourself of this great place to stay.

Kitchen was extremely well-stocked with utensils, pots and pans, dishes, coffee maker and Keurig, crock pots, and several condiments. A washer and dryer are available if needed. Christmas decorations were beautiful and the fireplace made it feel "homey" and warm. Plenty of comfy furniture fit the decor and location. Chris was extremely personable and helpful when we visited on the phone. A great place to accommodate a large family group!

We enjoyed our stay very much. We had such a nice and relaxing time spent with family and this place was perfect for us. We loved seeing the deer outside. The beds were comfortable, shower was nice, and the kitchen and living room were perfect. We even enjoyed sitting outside on the patio.

I had a great experience with this Airbnb, especially given that we booked it last minute—just two hours before our stay. The host was incredibly responsive, approving our booking almost immediately and providing quick answers to my questions about nearby grocery stores. The one-floor layout is perfect for families with children, offering both convenience and safety. The beds were comfortable, and the home was clean and well-maintained. The quiet neighborhood added to the overall pleasant experience. Highly recommend for a hassle-free stay!
