Scaurbridge Cottage with HotTub, Sauna & Open Fire

JuliaRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Lovely time with family at this great cottage. We had never been to this part of Scotland before and Penpont was a very convenient base to explore from. The cottage had everything we needed for a comfortable stay for four adults - we loved the log fire and the hot tub! The kitchen is well equipped for self catering and the beds are comfortable. An excellent place to stay for small groups.

5 Star Cottage with Hot Tub- Key to the Esk

ScottRating, 5 stars6 days ago
Booked this cottage as a getaway to propose to my partner. She said yes, which was great, and the cottage is fantastic. The photos really don't do it justice, the bathroom is massive, bed really comfy and the hot tub is incredible and feels really private (pack flip flops for getting to and from the hottub). The gate to the river is lovely but it's steep so make sure you've got some hiking boots with you. If not, just leave via the front door and turn left to get to the same place. 20 minute drive to Carlisle and about 10 mins to Gretna. Plenty to see and do but you will need to drive, couldn't find a taxi service that was open. Had a really relaxing time here and can't recommend it enough. ps. avoid the cows in the field next to the river walk (the public footpath going to st Michael's well) - they will chase you.

Gatecroft Barn & Spa - Pet friendly with hot tub

CraigRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Lovely cottage in a beautiful location, well equipped with lots of homely touches and even lots of things left out for the dog on arrival (towels, treats, ball, dog bags). Plenty of fields for long walks and a huge luxurious hot tub in the Spa room. The host Kathryn was very informative leading up to our stay with lots of activities and places to go, and she was extremely quick to reply when we had questions during our time there. I’d highly recommend this cottage as a place to stay and would love to go back in the future.

Self contained cottage private garden and hot tub

AshleyRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Our stay at The Stables was heaven. Paul welcomed us and showed us around and had even set up the hot tub for us arriving. The house was immaculate with everything you could possibly need and beautifully decorated too. We loved the Bluetooth mirror in the bathroom. The garden was beautiful and so peaceful and our two dogs loved it, it was completely secure for them which meant we could relax. The view from the garden and the location were wonderful, it was just what we needed. We didn’t want to leave and would love to come back sometime soon. Thank you for being wonderful hosts and for our cheeseboard and Prosecco it was such a thoughtful touch.

Our stay was fantastic. Daniel was very helpful with recommendations of local things to do, which was very helpful with a toddler and to catch-up with the in-laws. Beautiful property that was comfortable. All the little details have been thought of from setting up a bed for our toddler to the care package of tasty local food. Daniel was helpful and answered questions about where to go to entertain the family in all weather's. Thank you. We look forward to staying again!

Brandybuck Cottage a 3 bedroom traditional cottage

LauraRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We had a lovely couple of days at Brandybuck cottage. Superb location in the heart of Kirkby Stephen with the high street a minute walk away and some gorgeous walks around the local area straight from the cottage. The cottage itself is a real home from home with a well equipped kitchen, comfy beds and a decent shower. There was plenty of space for our family of 4 with 2 older children(who appreciated the TV in each bedroom). Communication from the host was excellent with directions and check in details clearly explained so arrival and check in was a smooth process. Parking is on a road to the rear of the property which again was clearly explained and Marks directions took us to the exact place to park with further clear directions from there to access the rear of the cottage. Tea,coffee, sugar, milk and a packet of biscuits was provided upon arrival which was a nice touch and much appreciated. We booked this cottage as a last minute break and it is a real gem of a find.

Dark Sky Cottage. Romance Under The Stars!

AlisonRating, 5 stars1 week ago
This is a super little cottage in a quiet, private lane but an easy walk from the middle of Moffat. It's outstandingly well-equipped, nicely decorated and very clean. Two things in particular stood out. First, the quality of the bedding. It's depressingly common to arrive at an Airbnb and find a cheap, thin, flimsy duvet and bobbly poly-cotton bed-linen, even in places where money has obviously been spent on things such as the television. Not so here, where there is a gorgeous feather duvet and pillows in cotton covers. Second, being able to control the timing and temperature of the heating rather than having this imposed by the owner. I was working all day and needed only a bit of heating morning and evening, not all day, and it was good to be able to organise a cool bedroom at night. Both these things made my stay memorable for all the right reasons. The owners are friendly, helpful and responsive and I'd recommend this wee place to anyone.

Fairy Cottage

DianeRating, 5 stars3 days ago
We loved Fairy Cottage's location, very peaceful, but there is lots to do in the surrounding area and it's very close to Lochside where we were attending a wedding reception. Hugh was so helpful and friendly - nothing too much trouble. He greeted us when we arrived and showed us around. The cottage is beautifully decorated and has everything you could possibly need for a stay in this area. We only wished that we could have stayed longer - we were there for just 1 night. Angela had left us some little cakes which were much appreciated by us with a cup of tea after our 5 hour jorney from Lancashire after delays on the M6. Would definitely recommend Fairy Cottage if you're ever in New Cumnock area. Many thanks Hugh and Angela! Peter and Diane

We had a four night break at The Yair and absolutely loved it. The house is lovely inside, cosy, comfortable, and has everything you need for a home away from home. The garden is beautiful and it was very enjoyable spending time outside listening to the birds and stargazing. We have already booked to come back for another stay next year.
