Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Downtown, Anchorage

Very nice stay in one side of Kris and Hal's duplex. This is a great location in Anchorage - walking distance from a nice market/coffee shop, downtown Anchorage with many places to eat and drink, and a short walk to the beautiful coastal trail for walking, biking, skiing. The two of us were very comfortable, felt nicely welcomed by Kris and Hal, and enjoyed the quiet, peaceful apartment with a cozy gas fireplace. Highly recommend this place and location in Anchorage!

From our first contact with Ron, we felt well treated and comfortable. The house was perfect for us, as it was near Providence Hospital, where we had a sibling undergoing surgery. The house was well equipped, the beds very comfortable and everything absolutely clean. We enjoyed our stay very much and will definitely come back. Thanks, Ron and Tracy!

Loved staying here. We came in town for a hockey tournament and the house was centrally located for the different rinks. The location was great for restaurants. The house was nice and my ten month old took some of her first steps there! We loved that the home was kid friendly and my 4 year old has already asked to go back to the "hotel house". Thanks for a great stay!

We had the most incredible NYE stay. The Northern Lights came out right around midnight and we rang in the new year gathered in the driveway admiring the lights dancing over the mountains! The home was perfectly located with the most stunning view. Very clean and well stocked with everything you might need for comfortable accommodations. We will definitely be back!

Nice open space. Comfortable beds and showers got hot quickly - perfect for snuggling in the cold.

The checkmate house was exactly what we were looking for and needed for our stay in anchorage. Wil was very helpful and responsive. While our stay was short, we had everything we needed and plenty of room for our large party. We would definitely stay here again if we were stopping in anchorage again in the future.

Perfection from start to end! We arrived on an 11pm flight, Brett responded within a minute to meet us and provide the keys and instructions. He shared great recommendations of things to do and see, made us feel completely welcome, and the space was everything we needed and hoped for! Our first morning we walked down to the back deck and heard bald eagles calling, the hot tub was well kept and piping hot, the bed was comfortable and the room had everything we needed, including coffee and a sweet welcome basket. I cannot say enough good things about our experience here, I wholeheartedly recommend staying at the peaceful inlet sanctuary!

Great place for our big group! The place was just as described, very clean, and comfortable. Great amenities and good quality ones as well. Very well stocked with everything you might need while away from home. The area was very private and quiet, in a cup-de-sac. Loved how there were clear instructions all around the property making it easy for us. The internet was fully fictional and fast. The rooms were spacious and very comfortable. The bathrooms had enough towels as well as toiletries. We were also able to use the washing machine and dryer, and they were quick and easy to use.

Christopher is very responsive. The place is easy to find and safe. The rooms are big enough to accommodate guests. I especially like the kitchen since we saved a lot cooking the foods we like. We had a very relaxing stay.

Amanda wad super friendly and very accommodating. I came to Anchorage to have a baby and she was very flexible when I needed to check out early.

Jane's place was clean, comfortable, and compact. The hosts next door were lovely and responded quickly to any questions. As noted in the description, there isn't a full kitchen but there is a wonderful grocery store with food-to-go right across the street. I enjoyed my stay and only wish that I'd seen the garden in bloom!

What a cozy cottage! We were so impressed with all of the thoughtful items to borrow to ensure we could really enjoy the surroundings. The kitchen was also well stocked with carefully curated treats and gadgets. The entertainment systems were wonderful, too. What an absolute treat! We used the local bike path through the park to safely get to our family’s house. We can’t wait to visit again and stay in this darling blue cottage!
