Hickory Hill is a working family farm set in the rolling Catskills upstate New York, 40 minutes west of Albany. There are sweeping lawns, walking trails over 200 acres of woodland, a pond for lazy boating and a clay tennis court Guests stay in the newer wing with 4 rooms and 3 baths, with full use of a spacious live-in kitchen. I love this place. Very clean, well equipped, and the wi-fi is good. It served my needs as a quiet place to work, easy access to major roads, and a wonderful neighborhood to wander. Melissa is always responsive and helpful. This neighborhood is one of my favorite stops. I'll be back, I'm sure.

We had a wonderful stay at this perfect home! The host was very responsive and friendly, the house was comfortable and clean, and the area was very interesting with places to walk and explore. Sher had some really thoughtful amenities - built-in nightlights around the house, an extra toothbrush (my son forgot to pack one so this was really handy), shampoo and soap, and plenty of games. There were plenty of spaces for us to gather as a family with enough space to spread out and relax. The porch has a spectacular view and the covered patio is a great option to get out of the sun. The kitchen was well stocked with plenty of pots, dishes, and utensils - which was great since I was cooking Easter dinner. Beds and pillows were comfy. And the shower was luxurious! We would love to come back again - Stillwater looks like a fun place to be in the summer!

The apartment was very cozy and comfortable. I stayed 4 nights to visit extended family in the area, so it was a perfect 'home base' for a few days. I really liked the decor and the layout. I cooked a little bit and relaxed a lot! I would definitely come back for another visit.

Peter was very accommodating and responsive when we found ourselves in a situation with a severe lake effect snow storm and needed to exit where were staying in another Airbnb, family of three and two dogs. Peter's home is exceptionally clean and comfortable. Peter was there each time to help us with our plans. The home is beautifully renovated and extremely comfortable. We were a family of five (3 humans and 2 pups) but this home would be perfect for a larger party, so much room! If in the area visit and hike the Pine Bush and the Dunes. Wonderful choices for dinner and drinks close by.
