Beachfront vacation rentals in Douglas County

i would definitely stay here again, such a cute and peaceful place to relax, as well as many things to do locally and close to the little towns of Battle Lake where there is a grocery store, restaurants, pharmacy and a fantastic ice cream shop! The cabin was fully equipped with everything you would need, and was so cozy. Look forward to another stay there.

Very clean, quiet, beautiful cabin with sunset views. Close to a boat access. Large lake space for fishing or playing. Host is quick to respond to questions. Would definitely stay here again!

We had a great time here. The lake is beautiful and calm. Nathan and the other hosts were great and very responsive. It is a great way to escape. For a lake this is pretty clear, it does have some sections of plants that are not ideal for swimming but we just moved around them and there were a lot of clear parts you could see to the bottom and have no issue. The view and lake access is worth the visit.

This was exactly what my family and I needed. The place was great, loved not having the road between the cabin and beach, which is the norm just a few houses down. I told Byron the only things I’d recommend is having the deck/patio sprayed off and cleaner since thats the focal point of the place and where everyone hangs out, especially since I have a small son thats playing out there. He seemed to agree and I would highly recommend the place! He went above and beyond to help as well. Thanks Byron!

We had a great weekend away and really appreciated the ramp accessibility for my dad, who uses a 4 wheel walker. Great hospitality and beautiful lake!

A small cabin next to a good sized lake. A quick walk to the water greeted by a paddle boat and a canoe. Decent fishing and good size as well. Friendly and honest host who responds fast. Had a great time enjoying the outdoors with great friends. Best part is it’s a 15 minute drive to the nearest town.

We had another incredible stay in glenwood! I absolutely love the home, it’s cute and cozy. I enjoyed hearing the waves from the lake at nighttime through my windows, lots of rooms for the kids to play, we enjoyed the screened in room for games on rainy days. The lake was beautiful and clean, we found tons of stuff to do locally. Emily even bought us a muffin tin when we asked if the cabin had one. Neighbors were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed swimming right off the dock and fishing! Already planning next years return trip!

Salina’s place was perfect for what we needed. We always do a cabin weekend with 5 couples and this was by far our favorite cabin we stayed at. We bring our dogs and they love the water so having paddle boards, canoes, etc was perfect for us. The backyard, although not fenced in, felt like we were out there by ourselves. We will be back ASAP to stay here.

Lovely home with plenty of space. I loved the Christmas tree & decorations; made the house feel so warm. Even with it being winter, it was wonderful looking across the lake & watching the sun rise. Would love to return.

My extended family and I enjoyed our stay. The weather was unfortunately a little chilly but we made the best of it and there weren’t really any bugs! The lake was beautiful and the fishing was great. We will be back again, thanks!

Our group of 9 adults and 4 children, ages 4 and under, had a wonderful time at this spacious home. There were so many spaces to be, inside and out. We used the pontoon, played badminton in one part of the lawn and brought a cornhole game for another part. The kids loved the playground and small rock area underneath... actually less messy than sand. Carolyn told us about another huge playground about a 10-minute drive away that me & my husband went to look at and it was awesome! For all ages of kids and a huge beautiful beach and a walking/scooter? path and bathrooms right there too. And a ping-pong table! So much to do! Had a fire at night, looking out at lake. Beautiful sunset. We brought a fishing boat and they were able to catch bass, northern, and nice sunnies. Nice big lake with beautiful houses to look at on a ride around it on the pontoon. Couldn't have asked for any more! Highly recommend!

I hosted a creativity/art retreat for 10 women this weekend. It was a fabulous experience! This house is perfect for a big group and we had plenty of space. Accommodations are comfortable and clean, the lakefront is gorgeous, and all of us agreed it’s a gem! Would definitely rent again! -Dawn

Host was very quick to answer any questions upon arrival, on staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Amenities were as listed and the kitchen had plentiful tools, spices and dishes to accommodate 11 people. Our group also enjoyed the number of beds and bathrooms available so there was privacy when you wanted some quiet space. The lake was nice and clean, great for swimming and fishing off the pontoon and for us enjoyed the small amount of traffic on the lake.

We had such a wonderful stay at Sara’s AirBNB! It was immaculately clean, which I so appreciated! The views were incredible and we loved sitting out by the water. Everything we needed in the kitchen was there and in great quality. Thank you Sara for being a part of our vacation!

This place was PERFECT for a fall weekend getaway!!!! It was way more spacious than we were expecting for our 3 large families. The kitchen is well equipped. The yard and lake front was perfect for all our kids to play outside all day. So beautiful and peaceful! The parents loved sitting on the screened in porch. Anne was a gracious and accommodating host and we would gladly stay again!
