The house itself has been re-modeled by one of Sri Lanka's premier architects, C.Anjalendran, and that makes the house special. It's very open, overlooking the river, with antique furniture and lots of books. It's very civilised. You can walk in the small lanes in the neighbourhood, between the main road and the river. The hosts, Aftab & Anja, are very attentive, and will bake you excellent bread if you are nice to them. It's worth staying just for that. The other endless amusement is provided by the cat, which enjoys frolicking with the two younger dogs. Good thing cats have nine lives.

The hotel itself has a real charm. Daesha and Mohammed were very helpful. The free breakfast is very good! You can get to anywhere in the city from here with a quick tuk tuk ride, and the roof area is quite peaceful, with a lovely little pool. The only thing I would say is, if you are infirm or have an injury, be aware that it is a 3 story hotel with no elevators. So, if you have trouble going up stairs, ask to be on the first floor. We would definitely return!

Absolutely loved the location. Perfect to take walks, enjoy the city center. The room was done quite well, even though it wasn’t very spacious. The space offers yoga classes, healing, Ayurveda massage, etc and has a overall holistic calm vibe. The staff was forthcoming and welcoming. The options to eat here are plenty. Worth staying !!

Black Cat is the place to stay in Columbo! From the lovely cafe downstairs, incredibly friendly hosts and staff, to the spotless and well appointed rooms. Small touches everywhere that make a stay in more comfortable all added up to a lovely final night before we flew home from Columbo. Highly recommended for a great way to start or end trip to Sri Lanka :)

Great location, close to Kotte and the surrounding area. Easily accessible by Uber and Tuk Tuk's. The AC and hot water in the room were great. Staff, Chaturanga was very helpful and considerate, granted that we had to come back late in the night all we had to do was give him a call and he opened the door right away. The other gentlemen was welcoming as well especially on the first day when were checking in and willing to help us with the bags. Overall great stay, would recommend.

The hotel itself was lovely. Great pool and garden area, top floor open area was lovely for relaxing with nice views. Room was clean and comfortable. Angelika was so kind and helpful. The only issue we found was similar to a previous review. The owner is very forthcoming. He wouldn’t take no for an answer on what he wanted us to have for dinner or what he wanted us to buy from his shop. The night we arrived we had been awake for 24 hours having just climbed a mountain, (he knew this) and he proceeded to stand over us as we ate dinner then pulled up a chair and we had to ask him to leave. We didn’t feel relaxed around him and were made to feel bad declining his dinner option and for not booking a massage. It was a shame as the hotel itself was lovely and peaceful.

We booked the stay very late on the day of check in, the place was amazing and must stay and have multiple activities that can be used. Place had very thoughtful touch. But the place only had 3 bedrooms to accommodate 6 people but the description showed the place for 10 people. Other than that the stay was amazing

This property is great for Singles and Family with children, since its a total private property with a gated compound only guest are allowed to come in. Just opposite there is a nice fresh fruit juice shop, you will find different type of cuisine restaurant's within 5 to 15 mins walking distance, bakery and other daily essentials shops are very near by, beach is also within walking distance if you want to or tuk tuk is always available. Rooms are spacious and bright and very well maintained, staff is very helpful and always ready to guide and help you. Overall superb place, and very convenient. I would highly recommend this place. Thankyou Priya.

This bnb is one of the best places we've ever stayed. The personnel were extremely courteous and helped us not only for our stay with them, but also with the rest of our stay in Sri Lanka. We are already looking at staying with them in future vacations. The rooms were clean and well appointed. Air conditioning and fans both available. The grounds are beautiful and well kept and we used the pool. It was nice too. We will recommend this place to all friends looking to travel here.

A comfortable place with new facilities only 10min drive to the airport. The two caretakers are extremely friendly and helpful and nice to communicate with.

After a very nice stay at the beginning of my vacation, I decided to book another night for the end of my trip, to be closer to the airport. Was welcomed back with open arms, had great food, and received help with arranging transport.

Great room, with air conditioning and hot water. Large and comfortable bathroom. The room overlooks the garden, where the birds fly and the sounds of the jungle can be heard. The house is very clean. The host is an amazingly kind and sociable person who also loves to travel. Constantly treated me to all sorts of goodies. The house is located in a quiet location in a residential area, while within walking distance you can find parks, cafes, restaurants, shops and laundry’s. Also a 15-minute taxi ride is the bus station and the railway station, from which you can go anywhere in Sri Lanka. The center of Colombo is about 20-30 minutes by scooter.

A bright guest room is presented, featuring a spacious bed with crisp white linens. A black shelving unit and a work desk with a chair are positioned nearby. A flat-screen TV is mounted on the wall, while natural light fills the room through a window.

Me and My husband stayed 7 nights at Kosala's place.The experience was superb. Wishwa was so kind and helpfull.Thilina always cared about our needs.Sugath makes us feel this place like our home.He made delicious food for our breakfast and ask for everything we need to make our stay comfortable. All of them are genuinely good people.Bathrooms are super clean. we highly recommend this place for anyone who seek clean ,comfortable stay around Colombo We will definitely come back again.💐
