We had a great stay and would definitely recommend this listing. Pamela was a very attentive host, making a birthday getaway very special and making sure we had everything we needed throughout the stay. The place is in a great location for getting around Bakewell by foot and was very fairly priced.

The property was really lovely and in a great position just outside Bakewell. Parking was a bonus and it was really easy to find. The host didn’t have anyone booked in after us so kindly enabled us to check out at mid day which was much nicer.

This is a perfect place for a group get together. In the heart of Bakewell but also still feels private. Really good kitchen so you can cook breakfast in. The lounge and dining area was perfect size for 10 of us to sit around and have a wholesome night. Pizza place underneath the Airbnb was amazing and the pubs in Bakewell are good traditional pubs

We had a lovely stay at Ruth's cottage, we felt really welcome and at home. Ruth had lots of information about local walks, pubs, restaurants etc and was really responsive to messages. We stayed over Christmas and Ruth had decorated the cottage with Christmas decorations which was a really lovely added touch. We had a fantastic break and would definitely stay again.

This was a great find! Thank you Jemma for a lovely weekend stay - it was so cosy to come back to and plenty of space for five people. The lovely welcome basket and free breakfasts were especially appreciated! We will definitely stay again if in the Bakewell area.

Myself and my partner had a lovely stay! Super quiet and peaceful, with a lovely local pub just around the corner and a short drive from bakewell. We will definitely be back in the summer, would recommend staying here if you need a little break. Thank you so much!

Really happy with our stay at the Lodge and amazing communication from Pip, the host. As a couple that enjoys hiking, we found many trails such as one directed behind the property leading towards Marsden Moor and the Reservoir which was perfect. The hot tub was a few steps away from the lodge, hidden with a lovely view of the village. Would happily stay here again but definitely worth noting down that the road to the lodge is very steep, especially on foot!

Stayed here for 3 nights and would happily have stayed longer. The cottage is lovely. The kitchen is well equipped and the bathroom is so spacious and clean. The bed is extremely comfortable. Our highlight was the log fire and how generous the hosts are to provide access to extra logs for free. Sam kindly brought us a proper Bakewell tart, pork pie and milk, all of which we enjoyed during our stay. The view out of the cottage is wonderful and the local walk by the waterfalls is fantastic - no need to get in a car. The separate land for an off road parking space is a great help. Easy 15 minute trips by car to Bakewell and Buxton too. All in all a great stay - thank you
