Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Deep River

Great hosts, place and location for our weekend getaway. We were very pleased with our whole experience and would recommend booking a stay with these hosts. They were great and so was our overall experience.

This house is in a quiet safe neighborhood, 30 mins from Montauk Beach and half the cost for 5 guests. Overall we loved it! The host recommended restaurants which is helpful. When we-reported a problem, someone was there to fix it the next morning. Kitchen well stocked, plenty of outdoor seating, comfy couches. Strange full bathroom cotton curtains a bit long and no liner, difficult to dry. The bath off the master bedroom the floor floods because curtain in there is lined but a bit short. Gotta keep a towel down. Garage is wonderful, laundry in basement handy. Decks off bedroom and patio off dining room both lovely. are beautiful lovely place to stay.

The unique home was a truly amazing experience. The grandchildren loved the yard. The porch was a peaceful gathering place or a serene place to just think or write or just sit and enjoy. A short drive brings many things to do or see. The piano was amazing. The artwork and history contained in those walls was a bonus gift.

This house was perfect for our stay with multiple families. The great room is off away from the sleeping quarters, and the kitchen is beautiful and expansive with all the amenities. The front of the home is the original 1776 building, with 3 bedrooms, then the back is the addition with 4 more bedrooms - and so many other awesome spots to hang out. There were a lot of beautiful antiques and a huge piano, just to be mindful of with little kiddos. They had fun dancing in the great room and playing chess / board games. We were so preoccupied we didn’t even have time to enjoy the downstairs game room - next year! Thank you Kami!

Sambo’s place was such a great find. I needed a quiet, comfortable place away from my small children to recover from major surgery. The house couldn’t have been more perfect for me and my nurse bestie to spread out during g our almost 2 week convalescence. Although the house is technically in East Hartford, it is just over the border from Glastonbury with all of its wonderful restaurants and shops. Super comfortable beds, and great tv options for a staycation. Would be ideal for families too.

House is perfect. We stayed for a long weekend over Thanksgiving. Perfect location, beds are comfy, fireplace is cozy and host is very responsive and kind.

Absolutely pristine, it offered a perfect blend of comfort and beauty. It is clear that the property is meticulously maintained, spotless, elegant, and comfortable. The beds were comfortable, and every amenity was provided. The best part is the area! WOW. We walked into Mystic at least twice a day and had lovely morning strolls along the water. The back deck is perfect for coffee and pm cocktails. I highly recommend it. We'll be back.

Our family stay at Katies’s was amazing. There was plenty of clean and open spaces in the house. Bedrooms were big enough and our toddler and senior parents were super comfortable. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed and we were able to control the heat in the colder nights. Having a washer and dryer was a big plus when traveling with a child. Katie was extremely helpful communicating instructions and wishing us a happy stay. Parking was easy and convenient. We were very happy with our stay and we would consider rent Katie’s place again when we go to West Hartford. We come often to visit friends that live 5 minutes away and this is just perfect for us. A very nice place to relax. My reason was because of work in the area. But I was delighted with the place. 100% recommended.

This was my second stay in less than two months at Wilson’s place. My family and I enjoy the ability to park our rental, separate TV watching spaces for each bedroom, and separate sleeping areas. The house is now my home away from home after staying at several others since bringing my daughter to college here; but Wilson & Co-host Jaime are amazing! Always super responsive not automated messages, very clean and comfortable living space, and well Stocked with key essentials and good location off 95 making it easy to go to Little Italy, Yale shops and well known tourist sites and restaurants. Corner house off busy street but at night you hear nothing. Great window coverings and having 2 full baths are essential. I highly recommend this space and the great hosts. This is my new home away from home after a second successful trip!

Our Christmas stay at Janice’s was perfect! My partner and I needed a place to stay while visiting family for holidays. The suite was very clean and cozy. We really enjoyed the not one but TWO gas fireplaces! Janice also had a small artificial Christmas tree in the living room which made it so festive and the perfect place for us to rest and watch Christmas movies after days with family. The bed was comfortable and had four pillows with extras in the closet along with extra blankets, an iron and board. Janice was flexible with our check in time and very friendly. The only negative we could think of was that we’d love to have a full kitchen and the suite just has a kitchenette with mini fridge, microwave and toaster oven, but we knew that from the description and it was fine for a short stay. We’d love to stay here again. Really perfect for this trip.

If I could give higher than 5 stars, I would! I love Airbnbs, and have stayed in them in many states. The Charming Cottage in Chester, CT ranks among the very best experiences. The cottage has two huge bedrooms huge, but cozy. All the other rooms are big, but cozy as well. I loved all of the windows and natural light. I am an older woman, staying alone, and Bridget looked out for me the whole time. Perks: lots of stuff in the fridge and pantry (don't buy butter!) tithe fireplace is ready, and has both kindling and logs. The area around the cottage is woodsy and lovely. Throw blankets on the sofa. Lots of books. Dining room with solar panels. A short walk to the quaint little town of Chester and the Goodspeed theaters, (which is why I was there.) Bridget communicated rapidly and was incredibly sweet. I'll be back, and I'll reserve plenty early to stay here again!

Fabulous stay at Ada’s place! The warm communication began prior to our stay and continued along the way with anything we needed. Ada’s place was clean, beautifully decorated and so inviting. We felt so comfortable like a home away from home. She even wrote a note wishing my husband Happy Birthday and left out a birthday sign. It was super convenient being so close to Mohegan Sun. A quick drive or Uber drive generally less than $10. We didn’t use the spa or any clubhouse amenities but looking forward to a return stay in the future! Much thanks!

We had a great stay at George’s house. He was very responsive to our questions. Our kids loved the heated outdoor pool! They also loved that there was a playground right across the street from the house. We had a great time!

Aimee’s house on Shelter Island was the perfect getaway for Thanksgiving. The home is warm, inviting, and beautifully maintained, with thoughtful touches that made our stay extra special. The location is serene and peaceful, offering a true escape from the hustle and bustle. Aimee was a fantastic host—responsive, friendly, and helpful throughout. We truly enjoyed our time here and wouldn’t hesitate to return!

My friends and I booked this Airbnb for a girls' trip, and it worked out perfectly. The location was convenient, close to the casinos, but it still felt like a peaceful getaway. The accommodations were comfortable, the space was clean, and everything was easy to navigate. We didn’t have any complaints and would recommend it for anyone looking for a nice mix of fun and relaxation.

Wonderful place, the downstairs was like having a second airbnb. Very peaceful and private location. Would definitely recommend and can see us booking again in the future.

was a very cute place. well maintined and clean. originally i booked it for the pool, but the pool was closed. but it was so quiet and peaceful, it was still enjoyable.

Katie’s home was beautiful, immaculately kept and exactly as photographed and described. We rented the home for a family reunion and needed all 8 of the bedrooms that were available. Even though we were a very large group with many kids ages 10 and under, we never felt uncomfortable or on top of each other. The two living rooms and outdoor space made it so that we all could spread out but still spend time together. The large dining room table fit our family perfectly! Katie was responsive, thoughtful and so very kind! We are looking forward to our next stay at Katie’s beautiful home!
