I had a terrific stay! The property is clean, and in great shape; Melanie does a great job of keeping everything organized. The location is terrific and is as described (30 second walk to the water) and there are restaurants in very close walking distance (one to two minutes). I look forward to staying here again—thank you very much!

Lake Effect was the perfect place for our family vacation. The family enjoyed it, we spent most of our time on the dock enjoying the lake and weather, which was amazing. Since I had to work a couple of hours a day before truly vacationing, the internet was somewhat an issue until I found out that if you are streaming on Samsung, the WiFi will be very in and out... so just don't turn on the TV until you are done with work or Streaming using the WiFi. Not sure also, it could have been Comcast, seeing that they have been having issues with their internet services throughout the state and Pa. The chalet was the perfect getaway with my husband. Beautiful and peaceful surroundings, secluded yet close to all that the Deep Creek area has to offer. Kitchen was well stocked, living room area was very comfortable, bedroom/bathroom were clean and spacious- with the bed being super comfy. Enjoyed a short walk as well as longer walk to the lake, and the hot tub was the perfect relaxation. Host very friendly and responsive. Would 10/10 recommend staying here!

Our family of four and dog really enjoyed Tina and Robert’s Kendall Retreat. We stayed for 6 days and would have stayed longer if we could. Fun little area to explore, and their guidebooks are super helpful and spot on. The house was clean, space was perfect for us, and we loved enjoying the deck, fireplace, view and cooking in the beautiful kitchen. Ping pong and game system were added bonuses. Lots to do in the area in spring. Hiking, arcades/tracks, breweries, fun restaurants and also exploring the trails around the house. Would go back!

The house is beautiful in a private area with a lot of natural light. Host was responsive if needed. Not far from Main Road to get to things to do. Friends that came with me are considering coming back to the same house.

Cheryl was a very responsive host with a beautiful venue -- it was private and peaceful but still close to the lake and a short drive to local coffee shops, breweries, and pizza. My kids got a kick out of the lofted bunk beds an spiral staircase. It was helpful that there was onsite laundry. Would stay again!

I wanted to rebook this cabin just a few minutes into our stay! This was a perfect home base for a weekend getaway to Ohiopyle State Park. The hosts were exceptionally welcoming to our family, including our dog! Needless to say, we will be back.

Large fun place right by the state park. We were visiting for a mountain bike race that started at the lake by the discovery center. This house was the perfect location. Hot tub was great after the race. Lots of space for teens and parents and dogs. Rustic and comfy.

Almost Heaven! Perfect home, perfect location for a family get-together. Bedrooms and bathrooms are comfortable and all needs will be met. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare meals. Just bring food! The lake is crystal clear and beautiful, and tall trees cover the landscape. The deer, chipmunks, squirrels and birds are right outside the door. The firepit was our evening spot to gather and chat. And toast marshmallows. And even though the kids are in their 40's, they made s'mores! This is a place to revive your soul. I could stay here forever.

Friends and I had an amazing weekend stay here. The hillside was a lot of fun with the snow and we loved the hot tub. The inside had plenty of space in the living area and the rooms were spacious yet cozy. Kitchen was well equipped for cooking. The location to the wisp was also unbeatable if you’re looking for a ski/ snowboard trip. We had a blast staying here! Nothing negative to say about this place other than the driveway would be hard to get up if there’s a lot of snow…but they seem to keep it maintained and also warn you to bring a vehicle well equipped to handle snow. We had no issues. Overall we had a very good time! Would absolutely recommend

We absolutely loved our stay. The space is beautiful and so peaceful! There was plenty of space for all of us and restaurants/things to do were within 5-10 minutes! Our only complaint was there were dirty dishes in the cabinets, but we had no problems throwing them in the dishwasher.

This place was so unique and fun!! We went on a sibling trip with the nephews and The kids loved finding all the nooks and crannies of the house. The nature surrounding the house is peaceful and beautiful. Jay was extremely responsive and helpful. Would love to stay here again.

Our group of 12 enjoyed our winter weekend stay at Bella Vista. The kitchen is very well stocked - better than any Airbnb I’ve been to. Beds were comfortable, hot tub was spacious, and the game room was a hit with the kids. We appreciated the quick and thorough communication - especially tips on what to bring (hot tub towels, shower toil trees, etc). I would also recommend bringing toilet paper, paper napkins, and paper towels if you’re staying more than 2 nights. We’ll be back!
