Vacation rentals with a hot tub in Darling Downs

Ok, for those reading this review please do so knowing it is genuine, unsolicited and because I actually wanted to write a review about how wonderful our stay was. This is Melt and your host..... Melt is everything the other reviews say - yes, it's secluded, yes it's luxury, yes it's non pretentious, yes the rainshower that overlooks endless forest is magical and romantic, and yes you wake up to kangaroos hopping around in the forest to breathtaking sunrises as you sip a coffee in bed. (Hopefully made for you by your partner!) But let me talk about what is more important. The entire booking process was flawless. And attention to detail in every aspect, from HOW to actually get in, HOW to get there with clear directions, and WHO you are dealing with. A couple of hours from the hustle and bustle of Brisbane. The only thing you need to do when you arrive is unpack, smile, light the fire, and pour a relaxing glass of wine! Thankyou guys, this won't be the last time we visit!

Absolutely perfect for a relaxing get away, with lots to do and see in the hinterland and not too far from the hustle and bustle of the coast. The house was amazing, luxurious and relaxing, with so many extra little touches to make our stay extra special. Sitting out on the amazing deck watching the sunrise and listening to the birds with a morning coffee was amazing.

Our third stay at the beautiful Colinton Country Lodge and it was just as we remembered. Loved spending the evening by the fire and admiring the endless stars. The house is perfect to share with friends and enjoy a bit of cycling on the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail.

This is the second time we have stayed with this host, both times have been fantastic. This home was clean and well styled. Everything was clean and well taken care of. The breakfast starter kit was very appreciated. Roberta was accomodating and flexible. We will stay here again.

“Silverton” is a circa 1917 renovated timber weatherboard home located on a working 400 acre cattle property in the township of Somerset Dam, QLD. The house is located on top of a hill, looks over about 100 acres of paddock and is nestled below, and surrounded by, picturesque tree’d mountains. The house with period furniture has all the conveniences of a modern home. I highly recommend staying at this home! Thank you for letting us stay at Silverton!

Great place, peaceful clean and quiet

Imagine a beautifully appointed, dream cabin in the woods with sunken spa bath, flowing creek below that lulls you to sleep, a hammock on the veranda where you can relax with a glass of wine and listen to the birds discuss the wonders of the lush rainforest that surrounds you. Think of a place where you see only wildlife and if the whole retreat was at capacity it would still be a handful of people in a handful of cabins that you never even see. Picture a warm welcome with breakfast hamper and cheese platter and croissants delivered daily to your cabin by a magic invisible and silent rainforest spirit that leaves them fresh for you to enjoy. Consider a selection of wine and spirits available on site along with bbq hampers and other niceties that you can cook on your outdoor bbq whilst the bush turkeys look on hopefully. Hold your loved one in front of the fireplace and listen to the night whisper “relax”, “forget”, “unwind”, “just be”.

What an incredible property. Linda and Gary as the most gracious of hosts. The house was spotless and exactly the luxurious remote escape we were after. The kitchen is well equipped for cooks and the furnishings made us feel at home. Slept wonderfully on soft beds. The outlook spectacular, wild wallabies and no neighbours to be seen. It’s a country road so be sure to be confident driving at night if you required. Definitely hope to return again.

The home was peaceful and quite

this place is one of the most beautiful, tranquil places we have stayed. We wanted a relaxing long weekend and that's exactly what we got! The cabin was immaculate and contained everything we needed and so much more. We met Noah the cow and Floyd the horse! Both were very friendly and it was lovely seeing them wandering freely around the paddock right outside the cabin. Simon is a fantastic host. He messaged to check in our us getting settled in and recommended the markets around the corner (which were awesome!). We'd love to come back, Simon! Hopefully we'll be up there again soon.

David and Emily's cabin was fantastic. They have done a great job with the little touches around the cabin and there is everything you need to enjoy your stay. The hosts and their 3 dogs are extremely friendly. Would recommend.

The Romancealot cabin was more private than what we expected. Right up the very back of the property, past the other two cabins, it felt like nobody was around except for the wildlife. Such a well designed and thought out space. The bbq kitchen was absolutely perfect with a small double fridge. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The shower was a dream with the rain head feature or a handheld option. I knew it had a skylight/window above the bed for nighttime star viewing but to our surprise if you turn all the lights off and just keep one bedside light on you’ll see what I mean when you look up. It was so funny we had the best belly laugh in ages. Plenty of usable items in the kitchen for your entire stay, even a small air fryer. The fireplace was fantastic. We loved having it on. Now, the hot tub, 10/10!!!!! Such a fantastic idea. Perfect, wonderful, relaxing, calming….. great first thing in the morning and last thing at night. The Summit walk took about 20easy mins 🥰?

The Dairy was perfect in every aspect, just what we needed. A beautiful place, not far from town and other places to visit.

Stunning attention to detail, in such a beautiful environment

Saying that our experience with Kate and her cabin is a massive understatement. From the moment of first communication up until our check out, Kate was kind, courteous and always responsive. The property is absolute heaven and we felt right at home from the moment we arrived. The homemade jams, butter and yoghurt were a beautiful touch to the breakfast provided. I can't thank Kate and her family enough for the peaceful few days away to celebrate the hubby's birthday. We will definitely be back again in the future 😍

My wife and I had an excellent stay at Kookaburra Rest for our wedding anniversary. The place was exactly as described on the booking and absolutely relaxing and peaceful. There was some great touches that made our stay very comfortable. The board games, fire pit, Netflix, picnic gear and hot tub, all added to our experience. We left totally relaxed and happy! Thanks Dave and Persia for also being very helpful and with great communication.

The most special place we’ve ever stayed. This made our trip, after 1 month of traveling, we never felt more at home, grounded and inspired. We will be back for much longer, for the wildlife, the insects, plants, stream, beautiful home with the best deck overlooking the rainforest and for the newfound friendship we have with Brad & Cicilia. They are some of the most genuine, warm hearted, adventurous and kind people we’ve ever met and we really didn’t want to leave. Till next time!

Cannot say enough positive things about this property it is absolutely stunning, and the location is perfect. Check in easy, house instructions clear. Lots of extra touches that make the stay very luxurious like quality linen and furnishings, coffee, local wine, comfy bed, bathrobes…. The list goes on. Toni was lovely checking in on us during our stay. Soaking in the hot tub watching the sunset in the peaceful surroundings was absolute bliss. Certainly hope to return again.
