Great house in a lovely location. Ideal for a short break with the family.

Pamela’s cottage is extremely well located, neat tidy and clean and great value for money. Pamela is very amenable and let us change our booking dates when we caught Covid earlier in the year and couldn’t come. The kitchen is well equipped and the shower powerful. The only downside is the kitchen being on one level and the lounge diner on the other. Pamela makes this very clear though and it was ok for us. Parking outside the door is great but we managed 2 great walks over the weekend without even needing to use the car.

Had a lovely one night stay. The cottage was beautiful, clean and comfortable. The weather wasn’t great so we didn’t get to experience the garden but it had a great view of the countryside. Melanie was really helpful and recommended a local pub for dinner. We also walked to the Ramblers Retreat for lunch. Would recommend a stay at this lovely cottage.

This is a perfect place for a group get together. In the heart of Bakewell but also still feels private. Really good kitchen so you can cook breakfast in. The lounge and dining area was perfect size for 10 of us to sit around and have a wholesome night. Pizza place underneath the Airbnb was amazing and the pubs in Bakewell are good traditional pubs

Fantastic and functional little place tucked away. Nice and private, owners very friendly over message. Will be using again when up in the Peaks 5 stars from me ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The cottage is beautiful, amazing views from every window and lovely touches throughout - felt really homely with absolutely everything you could possibly need. We used it as a base for a couple of days walking and it was perfectly positioned for that - in an elevated position looking out over Matlock Bath and straight onto numerous trails. Excellent communication from the host and so pleased we chose to stay there.

Was a little hard to find as the GPS coordinates takes you to the wrong location. But Mandy was quick to help when we messaged her. There is beautiful walks and play park for little one nearby.

This fitted our needs perfectly as we wanted a short break not too far from Chatsworth. It was clean, cosy and well-appointed. Although we don’t have dogs (anymore in my case) I could see how easy it would have been to take one there. I would be very happy to visit again, perhaps for an extra night or two next time, or to recommend it to my friends and relatives.

Superb place for a family get together. Large lounge with plenty of seating and spacious bedrooms meant everyone felt right at home. Views were stunning and so close to Carsington Water. We didn’t explore as much due to Storm Bert but felt cozy at home with the log burner! Pub within staggering distance. Excellent hosts who helped us out with snowy conditions. Definitely would highly recommend and will return !
