Yurt vacation rentals in Cumberland County

This was our first stay in a yurt and everything was great. Page was super friendly and quick to respond to any questions we had. We brought our dog with us and it was nice to be able to have her off leash as we explored the property. We only stayed one night, but I would definitely look into staying here again for an extended period.

We were exhausted but finally got to the yurt & it was incredible. Felt like 100 acres all to ourselves / our dog! We slept most of the time but the little exploring we did / our dog was just beautiful, quiet, relaxing!

This was our second time staying with Maine forest yurts. Last year we stayed at the zen den and this year at fisher ridge. Just like last year the yurt did not disappoint! We love the friendly hosts and the beautiful area in which the yurts are located. Fisher Ridge yurt is very clean and spacious. We enjoyed kayaking and fishing in the ponds! I even caught a pickerel! My first freshwater fish (after getting my Maine fishing permit of course)! Jess and I want to make our visit to the yurts an annual experience and I cannot wait for next year! Thank you again!

The Yurt we stayed in was absolutely incredible! It had such a cozy vibe to it and enhanced the feel of the nature surrounding it. The grounds that the Yurt is in was also gorgeous and filled with many activities and things to see. Another note is how committed everyone involved with the grounds is to keeping it extremely environmentally friendly. The whole experience was definitely worth it and better than imagined!

I had a wonderful stay at the Sunset Yurt. Beautiful forest and mountain brook. Awesome swimming holes along the way. The hiking trails were great too. The yurt was clean and comfortable, wood stove worked great on a rainy day. It is quite a hike up from the parking lot so be mindful about what you bring. I would absolutely stay here again!

The place was exactly as described. It had just enough for a comfortable stay. The yurt was extremely clean and tucked so far out back that you didn't even know you were in their back yard. It was amazingly quiet and all I could hear was the leaves and acorns falling on the roof. The wood stove kept it plenty warm. The bathroom was a short walk away. Do not expect high end bathroom facilities and you will be fine. I would recommend this space again and again.

If you are looking for a cozy getaway to the woods that keeps you close to both cities and beautiful wild areas, this is it. The walk back to the yurt is private and beautiful -- between the fall foliage, the little mushrooms growing along the path, and all the chipmunks and squirrels there to greet you, it's something out of a storybook. The place is lit up well at night, with very cozy lighting inside as well! The woodstove was enough to keep me warm, even as a person now accustomed to Florida weather, and there were SO MANY blankets made available just in case. It was so lovely to lay in bed at night and watch the stars through the top of the yurt and listen to the acorns fall and roll down the sides - I've never slept more deeply at an Airbnb. The bathroom is outside, but the motion lights at night made it easy to go about my business. If you're a camper, it will feel like a luxurious little setup! I couldn't recommend it enough. Such a wonderful place to take a breather!

Morgan was such an amazing host! The yurt itself could not have been more perfect for our group trip to Maine! Morgan was so helpful and gave us recommendations on where to eat and what to do during our trip

Where do I start!? We traveled to Maine with zero plans and quickly decided to make our long weekend a road trip. We booked this location the day of and the host immediately started helping us make plans for a ferry. We are NOT camping people but this was an amazing experience! The host picked us up from the ferry and took us right up to the door of the yurt. It was a chilly evening and she made sure to turn on the electric blanket and made sure we had enough fuel for the heater. The next morning she let us borrow two bikes and we rode to the general store for breakfast (very tasty and nice dogs, staff were wonderful as well!) and then to the beach. All the locals we met were very friendly! When it was time to leave the host was gracious enough to give us a tour of the island. We very much enjoyed staying here and will recommend it to everyone! Thank you SO much! This will go down as one of our favorite Airbnbs.

This place was really nice. Great for disconnecting. There is possibly a shooting range near by so there was a lot of shooting during the day, but it didn’t start early or go late into the night.

Our family has stayed at Maine Forest Yurts several times. We always look forward to our visits and how warm and cozy the Yurts are. No matter the season or weather we are never disappointed with our experience. Recently we had the pleasure of staying over the Thanksgiving holiday. Bob and Peggy even stopped by with a Pumpkin pie! We can not say enough good things about the Maine Forest Yurts family. Already looking ahead and planning for our next Yurt adventure.
