The property was absolutely perfect for our needs in both location and amenities. Settling in was a breeze. The instructions to find the house and to get inside were clear and easy to follow. Everything is beautifully done and thoughtfully planned, we absolutely adore it. Kara has done a wonderful job as decorator and host; questions were answered in minutes. The aesthetic is updated, inviting and comfortable (so many live plants!). The super-cleanliness and attention to small details makes it more than functional as well. We are already planning a return as this is one of our favorite areas in Northern Michigan. The property is a terrific home base for wine tasting, restaurants or spending time outdoors. Being in the much more relaxing Sutton's Bay area, away from the bustle and traffic of Traverse City (which is a short drive away when you want it), is a huge plus. Thanks, Kara!

We brought my 87 and 84 year old parents and my two sisters for a weekend visit with our nephew. What a charming, clean and well appointed home. We had plenty of room to relax, laugh and enjoy each other company. The first floor primary suite was perfect for our parents. Arceli was extremely helpful and even allowed us to stay an extra hour on check out day. (She didn’t have it booked for the evening). We highly recommend the home and location. We will be back. 😀

We were looking for a place that was close to everything in Ludington and this was the perfect spot. The check-in and checkout was super easy. The host updated us on things pertaining to the property ahead of time, including scheduled maintenance. And the house is very clean and comfortable. We try to make going to Ludington an annual thing and we would definitely stay here again.

Shelly's place was fantastic. The pictures accurately describe just how homey it is, and we felt extremely comfortable the minute we walked in! Boyne City is a nice little town with enough shopping, restaurants, and markets nearby. We enjoyed the 10 minute drive to Boyne Mountain and this couldn't have served better for a birthday ski trip with family. If I'm ever back in the area, I'd be more than willing to stay again!

Even though most of the days were snowy and very cold, the house was warm and comfortable all the time. A man with a snowplow came mornings to plow the drive and shovel the sidewalk and the porch. There was plenty of room for having family visit for dinner. Walking downtown or to the bay or the beach was enjoyable. We had a great time on our winter getaway.

We absolutely loved our stay at Riverhead Rentals. We had family up from Texas and wanted them to experience a quaint Michigan lake town. The house was close to everything in Boyne City and being walkable was just perfect. The house itself was spotless and tastefully decorated, with the perfect kitchen for entertaining. We enjoyed time out on the deck and playing games that came with the house. We had the good fortune of meeting the owners, Michelle and Chris, and they are as lovely as their home! We will definitely return and book this lovely home again.

You will instantly fall in love with the quiet lakefront beauty and the breath-taking and welcoming home just 60 or so feet from the water. The main floor of the house is close to lake level making the drama of nature around you compelling and inspiring. The waterfront and waves lapping the stone and sand shore are visible from almost all the rooms of the house, and it's a short walk to River Street in Elk Rapids. Traverse Magazine readers voted River Street "in the top 10 of ‘Sweet Small-Town Main Streets in Northern Michigan.'” The pace of life is calming in this lovely town and in this beautiful home. Owner Bernadette and property manager Sam make you feel perfectly at home. Response time to messages is instant, polite, and friendly. There's so much enjoyment to be had for all ages here.

We stayed at Brandon and Katharina's for our spring break with friends and had a great time. There was plenty of space for our group (5 kids, ages ranging 11-16, and 4 adults) could be together in the large kitchen area or family room/game room or split up in separate areas. Our weather wasn't great so we made good use of the sauna, hot tub, and variety of games available to us. Communication with Brandon and Katharina was fantastic from the time we booked until we lest. We would definitely go back!

Our extended family of 19 (10 adults, 9 children) loved the Birch. Plenty of room for all. Very clean when we arrived. Very well equipped house. Kitchen was exceptionally well equipped. Wonderful location and view overlooking Lake Michigan. Convenient to all our day time activities. All agreed that it was a first class experience. We hope to come back next year!
