Cottage in Heddon-on-the-Wall
4.99 out of 5 average rating, 109 reviews450 alpacas, hot tub & one bed cosy farm cottage!
We had such a beautiful and peaceful stay, the property and surroundings are just stunning it was such a relaxing stay. Especially enjoyed getting to know our hosts who were so friendly and accommodating they couldn’t do enough for us and were so kind and lovely to talk to. I’d definitely recommend staying here and make sure to go on the alpaca walk and talk as it is so fun and informative, you’ll learn so much about the animals. The passion this wonderful couple have for their animals is amazing, they know all of their names and there is over 400 alpacas as well as some donkeys and chickens and a gorgeous little cat too. You can see they’re all well loved and looked after. If you like the countryside, animals or just a peaceful break away from busy daily life this is definitely the place to go. The cottage is immaculate and so homely, I could have stayed another week! We will definitely be back thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts for being fantastic

Cottage in Rowley
4.89 out of 5 average rating, 19 reviewsBeautiful 5 star 2 bedroom cottage with hot tub.
Four of us have just spent 3 nights in Peewit Cottage. From the moment we arrived, we all felt right at home, the place was spotless, beds very comfortable too! Everything you could possibly need for a self catering stay was provided. Having the private hot tub was fabulous, we loved it after full days of being tourists in the local area. On a separate note, we would highly recommend a visit to Beamish Museum which was about a 30 min drive, we also spent a day in Durham City & booked a 2.5 hr History/City Tour with walkaboutdurham - highly recommended. Tour Guide Peter is very knowledgeable & so passionate about his job plus he gives everyone a "free" cocktail voucher for Turtle Bay - well deserved after 2.5hrs walking around the City 🤣🤣

Cottage in Harmby
4.88 out of 5 average rating, 163 reviewsPuzzle Cottage Quirky Yorkshire Dales Cottage
Accurately described, small it is what it is and very cute. Suits an active couple perfectly. Hosts communicated quickly on our stay when I needed to message them. The cutlery is a little blunt, 2 fire lighters needed filling with gas, and no pan big enough to fit 2 steaks in... but an array of local food places nearby. Pretty normal stuff wherever you book. Waterfall so close you could crawl there, and some brilliant walks I did in the short time there, very peaceful. 2 stage lockable long yard, perfect for if you have a dog.

Cottage in Barningham
5 out of 5 average rating, 21 reviewsCrofters' Cottage at North View
This was one of nicest cottages ive stayed in and that was down to the owners. They couldnt do enough for you but not at all intrusive. The cottage was exactly as the description said and it had everything you could possibly need. Food available to order if you wanted it, which we did and it was wonderful. A lovely welcome pack which even included food so you could go and feed the chickens!! If only all self catering accommodation was like this!!

We loved our stay at Ed & Jay's cottage. The place is lovingly decorated and immediately made us feel at home. The kitchen is well equipped and the fireplace was a very welcome touch after a long (and wet) hike. Ed and Jay are superb hosts and very responsive - I highly suggest following some of the recommendations provided upon check-in: high tea and Sunday roast were outstanding!

Fabulous place to stay very quiet just what was needed. The host was great showed us around the cottage & had left some food & essentials for us when we arrived which was much appreciated. Very quick response when we had a query. I would stay here again even though it’s not too far away from where we live.
