Family-friendly vacation rentals in Cromarty Firth

What a wonderful long weekend away, celebrating a special birthday. An amazing house, great for all ages with lovely extras that accommodated the whole family! From the hot tub and sauna to the snooker table and arcade games, we were all entertained, oh and the piano that we all had a go on (maybe not brilliantly but what fun trying) The views are to die for and waking up to the deer and stags was just fabulous. Hosts are so good, communication prior to arriving from Gail was brilliant, we also met Gail’s husband who promptly attended to sort out the hot tub, due to Loss of heating, which I may add was out fault! We pressed the red button which clearly instructs us not to press, lesson learned lol. He was very lovely and I’m glad to say once he reset it we had no further issues. I would highly recommend if you want a lovely spacious house in the countryside, away from the hustle bustle but with lots to keep you entertained. Close to tourist trips if looking for that.

This is our second stay at Susan’s wonderful home (we bookended our 40 anniversary) and it won’t be the last. The house is private and ideally situated to explore Avimore, the Cairngorms and surrounding areas. It is also relatively close to Avimore centre so it’s easy to walk in to the local amenities. Susan’s home is clean and tidy with a well equipped kitchen and utility room. The sauna and hot tub are welcome bonuses. Susan is a great host and responds to messages very promptly. Thanks for everything Susan. We are looking forward to going back to Glencairn soon.

Accommodation as described, easy to find with the instructions provided, sufficient equipment for a few days, located about ten minutes from Inverness (essential vehicle). The owners are welcoming and responsive.

From the moment we arrived we knew we’d booked the right house for our family get together, it was perfect with a lovely enclosed garden making it safe for dogs and our granddaughter. It was in our very favourite part of Aviemore and we loved everything about our stay. Sarah was super helpful and always responded to any questions I had. We’d totally recommend The Squirrels and would love to stay again.

Greeted by host Kirsty on arrival and very freindly. Lodge well equiped and looked after, hot tub was excellent. Would definitely come back !

Thanks for a lovely stay. Very well kitted out, perfect for a family get together. The uninterrupted views from the property are spectacular. Plenty of nearby walks. The frozen shoreline water of nearby Loch Insh was quite a special sight!

Loved our recent stay here. It had all the facilities you could wish for and we even made use of the board games. Wonderful wood burning fire and stunning views in a fantastic location. We can't wait to go back again.

I had a wonderful few days here with my husband and kids aged between 4 and 14. The house is beautiful, clean, well maintained and in an excellent location. It had everything we could need for our stay, and some! I only wish we had longer to visit. We would love to stay here again.

We had a nice stay with a group of 7 people at Jane's place and we didn't miss anything. The space was perfect for group size and Jane was always easily accessible. 👍

Definitely one of the best Airbnb places we’ve stayed. Spotlessly clean, well located and easy to find. Lovely and warm for our arrival. Lots of thoughtful touches such as milk, bread, tea and coffee supplied for our arrival. Veronica was a really helpful host who replied rapidly to any message. Cromarty is a cracking small town with plenty to do and a really friendly local vibe. Would definitely stay here again.

This place is a real gem with stunning views ! Our family really enjoyed staying here. It was very clean and well equipped! And there was clear and great instructions for everything.

We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this bright, spacious cottage. Fantastic setting and amazing views! Such a gorgeous village too, with great walks from the door and a really friendly, welcoming pub.

Another wonderful stay here. Cozy, comfortable caravan with a beautiful, peaceful view. Spotlessly clean, great shower, comfy sofas, helpful hosts. Perfect for watching the world go by outside. Can't wait to return next year!

This place was a magnificent experience!! From the moment of our arrival, being toured through the monastery by Louie, to his offering of assistance to the third floor apartment, we knew this stay would be something special!! All I can say is WOW! The rooms were well laid out and inviting, the basket of Scottish food items was enticing, and the kitchen offered necessities (even fresh milk for tea!) After Louie finished his welcoming instructions, we could only stare in awe at THE VIEW out of the cloister windows!! In one evening, we were not able to take in everything that this place had to offer… BUT we tried!! We did take advantage of the pool and sauna, which were amazing!! All said, though it cost a pretty penny, we’d do it again!!

Absolutely amazing property. Out of our 10 day stay in various establishments in Scotland, this was hands down our favorite. Would definitely stay here again.
