Kid-friendly vacation rentals in County Cavan

We stayed in Fiona’s beautiful home for our Mum’s birthday weekend. From the moment we sent an enquiry to when we check out, Fiona and Francis exceeded our expectations as hosts. They were both so helpful recommending restaurants, and local attractions as well as extra special personal touches for our Mum to make her birthday memorable. The house and surroundings are stunning. Each bedroom is supremely comfortable, and the bathrooms are equally luxurious. The kitchen had everything we required for the weekend. The house is immaculate. The location is peaceful, yet a short drive to the bustling town close by. All the extra touches in this home make it stand out from all others, making it our favourite booking ever. It really is even more beautiful in reality than the pictures. The lodge oozes 5 star quality. We can’t wait to return again. Thank you so much for a wonderful weekend Fiona & Francis.

We had a lovely 2 night stay for a wedding this past weekend. The house was beautiful, the pictures dont do it justice. Clean and peaceful and a 5 minute walk to Lough Rynn castle. Stephen was a very helpful host and gave clear instructions with all the information we needed. Would highly recommend.

Rosina’s farmhouse is a wonderfully authentic experience and that care taken by Rosina in the restoration and maintenance of the old house is clear in every small detail. I can highly recommend this beautiful rural location for anyone wanting a taste of the best of rural Ireland

Fabulous apartment it has everything you need. Very comfortable and welcoming. There was a storm the night before check in and Margaret was in contact with updates. The power had been off but by the time we got there all was restored and Margaret had the heating on which gave a very homely, cosy feel when we walked in. Everything about our stay was perfect we would highly recommend staying here. Thank you Margaret for all your help.

We had a great stay at Joanne's house. Space for 3 cars inside thw secure gate. House nice and warm. 2 full bathrooms. Very functional kitchen and dining area. Really nice liverroom. Super comfortable beds. Nice quiet area. 500 meters to town, restaurants and bars. 500 meters to Virginia Park Lodge Hotel. We hope to come back.

We had a wonderful stay at michaels house. It was clean, comfortable and spacious. It was also lovely and warm and cosy. Its in a beautiful little village and was close to other towns that we could drive to or even catch the train. Michael came to visit us on arrival and qas very friendly and informative. We would definitely love to stay here again! Thanks fpr having us

We had the perfect weekend at Aishling’s place, quiet, peaceful, had everything we needed and the place was spotless, Aishling’s communication was top notch, we really felt like she cared about our stay. Norbert greeted us and was very friendly and showed us where everything was and added bonus of ingredients to make a fry up. The place was lovely and clean very comfortable beds fully equipped kitchen and washing machine and tumble dryer. Couple of minutes walk to pub and convinence store and about 10 min drive to town. Highly recommended staying here for peace and quiet.

We had a fantastic experience and Sharon’s hospitality went way beyond our expectations and I would HIGHLY recommend taking the opportunity to spend time at the cottage. Sharon and her whole family are very welcoming, helpful and generous with their time and the nice extras including lovely fresh flowers, welcome pack etc.

Excellent place to stay with beautiful views. Shout out to Jamie and Steve, what a wonderful personalities; helpful, kind, humorous. highly recommended if someone's looking for a place to stay in Kingscourt.

We stayed in Maria's pod for 3 nights.The place was spottless,beautifully furnished,cosy and warm.Maria was very nice and helpful.I will recommend this place for my friends and we would love to go back soon.If you want to get away from the busy life ,this place is just perfect for it.Watching the sunrise from the hot tub then get back in after we were out all day and spending the evening beside the fire was just absolutely amazing! The little puppy Molly was greeting us every morning.She is a sweet little doggy.

Ally has created a haven and is a very welcoming host. The room was more than I expected - spacious, great views to the nearby river and lakes beyond, clean and very comfortable. Within a few minutes walk you can be in the woodlands surrounded by birdsong. Ally works incredibly hard and bakes fresh cakes for her tea room too. Absolutely worth the money.

Ally is a wonderful host - well worth the trip outside of Cavan to walk the KillyKeen trail and end up in a lovely place on the river! - food was delicious, tea was excellent, homade goods are to die for, and the hospitality was exceptional. - I'll be back someday!

The accommodations were better than the photos and the hosts were so helpful and friendly. We especially loved playing with the two dogs.
