Fitness-friendly vacation rentals in Cook County

We were extremely happy with Yaharra’s place! Easy contactless check-in through a lockbox a block away, and then the apartment was just as described and pictured. We took advantage of a few kitchen items (mostly pans for warming up leftover pizza) and the fridge has automatic water and ice which kept our travel bottles filled. The shower had good pressure and it’s a deep tub if someone wanted a lovely bath. The water stayed hot enough for the two of us but O wonder if more than two could shower in a row and have water. We got surprised with needing a washing machine and were grateful to have the washer dryer. The bed was one of the more comfortable mattresses I’ve slept on, and I liked the minimalist decor. Now let’s talk about the view! It’s on a high floor so we had a beautiful view of sunsets and also gorgeous city lights at night. We could see the river and even better for me, there’s a direct view of the iconic River City Apartments which was cool to look out at. Great stay!

Stayed here for 2 weeks for a work trip. It feels just like staying in your own apartment. I love that they allow pets. It’s pricey (keep in mind there are additional charges for pets and for parking), but for the location and quality of the place I think it is a good value.

Great location (very walkable to Lake Michigan, as well as countless enjoyable coffee/food locations), pristine space, and very responsive host if you have any concerns or questions (you probably won't). Highly recommend!

This apartment was exactly what we wanted for a week’s visit. It was spotless upon arrival and has every amenity you could need. The location is fabulous, super quiet and very secure. Claude is also a very responsive host. I highly recommend!

We stayed with my family for 3 days n loved the place it's ambience, cleanliness, very well equipped with all the necessities.....this place definitely feels like home and the hosts are very kind and quick with there response. Wherever in future I am coming to chicago shall book this place.

We loved Kerilyn’s Airbnb! Super smooth check in process, and the apartment was cute and fit our group of four comfortably. We loved hanging out on the couch over coffee in the morning, and Kerilyn was a super responsive host. Steps to all Logan Square has to offer, so I would definitely recommend staying here!

Nala and Owen were great. They communicated with me throughout my stay offering me recommendations and just making sure things were good. The apartment was as advertised. It was well taken care of, and very clean. I really enjoyed my stay and wholeheartedly recommended to others. If I’m back in uptown Chicago, I will be staying here again.

I stay in a lot of Airbnbs. At least 3 a year, most of them in Lakeview. This was the best one! I’m originally from Lakeview and have been disappointed how commercialized and impersonal Airbnb has become. This was the opposite of that. It was so homey, I felt like I’d lived there my whole life. Would definitely stay again.

Wendy and Matt's place was comfortable and homey. The location was great, the apartment comfortable, and we had essential amenities. The building is mid-century modern and designed by famed architect Harry Weese that incorporates thoughtful references to Chicago architectural history throughout while still remaining visually cohesive. One minor issue is the stove, which is electric and somewhat underpowered. It's good enough for minor work like breakfast or heating leftovers but you may struggle producing more elaborate meals. It was a very minor quibble but worth noting for those culinarians wanting to prepare their own meals. The oven is decent but there is only one. Overall, my stay was excellent and I recommend Wendy and Matt's place wholeheartedly. They are excellent hosts as well.

Planned a weekend trip with our daughters and their partners to Chicago. Loved this location being outside of the city but very conveniently located to public transit. The house itself was beautiful and comfortable, with plenty of room for 6 adults. A perk was the driveway parking space for our car. Would definitely recommend to others and stay again when visiting Chicago!

Curtis was so kind and extremely responsive. He made sure we knew how to get the keys and had all of the instructions laid out very clearly.

Our stay was lovely. The unit was clean, and it had everything we needed. Instructions on how to get in were clear, and if I had any questions Briana promptly responded. If/when we visit Lombard again, we'll keep this airbnb in mind.

Great home and location. Safe neighborhood, walkable to restaurants, shopping, beach. Home was clutter free, clean and well maintained. Beds were comfortable and we had plenty of supplies for duration of stay (fresh towels, blankets, paper products, soap, shampoo, conditioner, etc.) Rooftop deck with nice view. Host was very responsive with any questions and communicated well. House was perfect size for our group of 6. We appreciate Rasheed making our stay perfect! Will stay here again in the future.

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely home in a quiet Chicago suburb—perfect for a relaxing family getaway. The spacious outdoor area gave our kids plenty of room to play and explore, while the nearby parks and playgrounds made the neighborhood feel incredibly family-friendly. We truly appreciated the peaceful atmosphere and thoughtful touches throughout the home—highly recommend!

Mark and his partner have clearly put their heart and soul into preparing this home for guests. Every detail has been thoughtfully considered, and any instructions you might need seem to appear just when you need them. The house itself is cozy, clean, and incredibly comfortable. To future guests, make sure to spend some time in the beautiful backyard. Whether you’re sipping a drink, reading a book, or simply having a chat, it’s a lovely, peaceful spot that adds something special to the stay.

Great location, clean and most important affordable.

Our stay was perfect and I would definitely stay again! We hosted a small dinner for my mom’s memorial service and they were very accommodating. There was plenty of space for everyone and the location was great. All the amenities were top notch and the decor was amazing. We felt right at home and I’ve referred people to stay. Thank you so much for hosting us. 10 stars!!!
