Family-friendly vacation rentals in Colchester

Antique home with fenced in yard, updated bathrooms and appliances, and indoor hot tub was perfect for my family of 5 plus dog. We appreciated being a little outside of the hustle and bustle of Stowe on a busy tourist weekend, but still accessible and allowed us to explore many of the trails, breweries, restaurants, and farm stands outside of town, which was great and a more authentic Vermont experience. Check out Sticky’s to learn about and sample maple syrup and homemade ice cream and take in some beautiful views.

We have stayed here twice and feel right at home! The house is comfortable and well-equipped. The hot tub and fire pit are perfect in the evening after skiing, which is close by.

This is our second time staying at Rob’s cabin and it does not disappoint. It feels like home and so peaceful. Most importantly our dog absolutely loves the house and property.

We were hosting a wedding at Bliss Ridge and Doug’s home was spacious and nearby. The view and home are amazing. Doug assisted us with details around furniture and catering and Alex was an attentive caretaker. The kitchen had EVERYTHING and there was plenty of seating, comfy places to sit and a terrific game room.

Had a blast. House was great; very beautiful and relaxing. More than enough space for us. Great place to hang out!

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful Stowe home in December. The standouts were the unparalleled kitchen with its appliances and tools available, the beautiful yard with its snowy tree/mountain views, the number of games and books, and the clean bedrooms. The drive into Stowe is really short and so nice to be a little distance away and have your own space. The kids (and even adults) so enjoyed the fresh snow, made a snowman, etc in the beautiful yard. We love to cook together on vacations, so having the well stocked clean kitchen / dining area and fireplace was so so cozy. The number of games and books available was also amazing! We took advantage of that as well. They also provide plenty of towels, soap, shampoo, conditioner, and laundry detergent so these little touches really made the stay even more relaxing. No worry about running out or washing towels during our slightly longer stay. We will definitely be back next time we are in Stowe.

my wife and I stayed here and everything about our trip was amazing !! we loved the location, very secluded with amazing views, the house itself was clean and looked exactly like the pictures. Susan is an amazing host, she’s very friendly and responds well ((: highly recommend staying here !!

Fadi's place was perfect for our weekend getaway. Fadi was very responsive, provided detailed and clear instructions for the check-in, stay, and check-out. Fadi even came with a snow plow on the morning of our departure to make sure we didn't get stuck in the snow. The only thing to note is that the two bedrooms on the top floor are harder to access because they have a ladder to go up that is quite steep. Something to keep in mind when booking. They also don't have doors, so they don't have separation from each other or the shared space on the ground floor in terms of noise and light. We really appreciated staying at Fadi's, would definitely recommend and would stay there again in a heartbeat! Thank you for everything Fadi!

Five star host! Very friendly and helpful with recommendations. Perfect location, extremely close to Main Street, Stowe, yet very private. The house is spectacular! Best views in Stowe. Fun family room with big bright windows overlooking all of the surrounding mountains, fireplace, bar etc. I want to move there!!!

Despite the difficulty faced to open the door as it was busted and needed fixing, this was a lovely home. After calling the owner to show us how to open and lock the door, we got the hang of it. The place was very clean, spacious and couzy. It was indeed a lovely home, nicely situation in the town area; so walkable to shops and restaurants. I would stay here again for sure.

The house was exactly as advertised. We travelled to Rochester as a family for a wedding. The house is spacious enough for 6 + adults with ample space so that any of us could find a place to have quiet time if needed. The hosts are very responsive and accommodating. We recommend Dan and Peggy’s house to anyone travelling in this beautiful part of Vermont.

Everyone in our party thoroughly enjoyed our time at Tranquility Lodge. It is a beautiful lodge with a homey feel. Comfortable beds - plenty of bathrooms and just a great place to unwind and relax. Jason was fantastic of accommodating our needs and we look forward to returning next year. I highly recommend this place.

Great place to get away. Very peaceful and loved that it was dog friendly. There are great trails within walking distance, the dogs loved it.

The place was cozy and clean. Perfect location for exploring downtown Burlington. The host was extremely helpful and responsive. We’d love to be back someday!

A well-equipped, comfortable, relaxing property in the most stunning location with access to the lake and causeway for walking & cycling. The cottage is situated right on the lakeside with the most stunning view throughout the day. Easy access by car to local facilities and quaint Burlington 15 minutes away. The expansive Lake Champlain is a delight to explore, with the islands only a half-hour drive away. Definitely a wonderful place to relax, unwind, and enjoy amazing surronging natural beauty.

This place is great! The pictures do not do a justice. This apartment is very open, lots of space! And the views of the mountains are incredible! Chad was very responsive and a great host! Would stay again!

Cathy's places was immaculate and was a perfect home base for travel all over Vermont during the fall season. The pictures don't do the place justice- it is incredibly nice, and so easy to get in and out of!

This was our second stay at Rebecca's, glad we came back. Place was clean. Rebecca was responsive to all our questions. Even heard a pack of wild animals howling one night. Had a great break from the city.

Stayed here for a youth hockey tournament. Couldn’t have had a better experience. The host was extremely responsive and flexible when I needed a later check out. I’ll be booking again next fall.

Great place just outside of Stowe city centre, plenty of space inside and out. Kristin was a great host.

Our family just stayed in Dana’s condo and we had a wonderful experience! The fireplace was a wonderful way to keep warm in the evenings and the balcony had stunning views of the area. The condo is located in a short distance from so many wonderful places to visit and eat. Dana was an excellent host and very responsive. It was a perfect getaway! We would highly recommended her place.
