The cottage was very beautiful and Steve was very welcoming, My little boy loved the quirky kids room, we got snowed in so didn’t leave the place once we built a snowman and enjoyed the games room and hottub it was perfect Fresh eggs Prosecco and some other treats from Steve Thankyou for having :)

Lovely cottage which has been kitted out to a really high standard. loved the little touches like the fresh eggs (which tasted amazing for breakfast) and the Christmas decorations made it feel even more homely. Highly recommend (and already have done so to family and friends!)

Beautiful residence, with lovely owners who were extremely helpful. Will definitely be looking at coming again, especially for the hot tub!

We stayed for 5 days to enjoy some time off before the craziness of Christmas and we loved the cottage, the location which is walking distance to the town where you can find 2 shops but also local butchers, bakeries and lovely restaurants/pubs. We went for long walks all day and the jacuzzi was so relaxing at the end of the day. We also really liked the welcome hamper Jenny offers which makes you discover the local delicatessen. We would definitely recommend this.

We had a wonderful weekend break at Gemma and Andrew's cottage; sadly the weather wasn't great but that just meant we got to enjoy this lovely place even more! The cottage is beautifully renovated and decorated, with lots of thoughtful touches and emergency supplies, and by far the most in depth and helpful information about the accommodation and local area we've ever had. Stand out highlights were the hot tub, woodburner, and underfloor heating which made us extra toasty. We loved going for an evening meal at the lovely local pub too! We also have two greyhounds, one of whom is skittish on certain flooring but was absolutely fine with the flooring here, and both dogs loved lazing in front of the fire! Gemma was so friendly and had really clear communication; we can't recommend this stay enough for a relaxing and peaceful break, and will definitely be looking to return in the warmer months to spend more time exploring the local area. We travelled as a group of 4 ladies for a big birthday, the brief was (ideally!) a peaceful and cosy cottage with a log burner & hot tub. We’d hoped to find a place that would tick at least a couple of boxes but were amazed to find that Darla’s seemed to have them all. From the very 1st contact, the host, Carol was friendly & informative, she genuinely wanted to make our stay there perfect. We arrived to a (rather magical) snow covered Darla’s. It was spotless & so cosy with soft lighting, music and personalised gifts for our friend. Darla’s has everything you could ever think to need & Carol provided the best welcome pack any of us had ever seen. The cottage is a funky treasure trove of hidden surprises, it was thrilling to be there as an adult & can only imagine the joy that visiting would bring to a child. We loved chilling in the hot tub & the cosy nights by the fire. In short, if Darla’s is available for your chosen break, book it, beware though, it sets a very high bar to beat!

we had a lovely stay this weekend and were gutted we had to leave earlier than planned due to a family emergency. The cottage is exactly as described, great size, very comfy and clean. The hot tub was delightful with a nice aspect. Jane was very welcoming and had left a few amenities for us which was a nice suprise. Highly recommend and have passed on to some friends looking to stay in the area.

We had a lovely time at L’aal Cottage. Great use of the space, everything of high standard and fully equipped for an enjoyable stay. Jan was friendly and made us very welcome. Great spot for exploring the Yorkshire coast and a great walk along the beach to Filey.

We had a very good stay. 3 adults and a 3 year old who loved the playground nearby. Christine was very helpful when we had an issue with the broadband. Wouldn’t hesitate to rebook at some point

We enjoyed a wonderful break at The Nest with our dog. The cottage was so cosy and had everything we needed. The recommendation to take the train to Whitby felt like an adventure with the dog and we managed a beautiful 14km hike from the village. Such lovely touches with the decor at the cottage, bed was so comfy and the whole place had been recently decorated so we felt very lucky to be the first in! Just the right amount of communication from Annette, phoning us the day we were arriving but leaving us to it after that! Thank you so much, highly recommend.

Lovely cosy cottage in the heart of the village with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Cod & Lobster for great seafood but booking recommended even in the winter months as very popular . The pub close by serves classic pub grub and more like a pub than restaurant but food is good. Great cottage in a fantastic costal village location.

“A Perfect Stay at a Charming Cottage!” We had an absolutely wonderful time staying at this lovely cottage. From the moment we arrived, it was clear how much care and attention Jackie and Izzie had put into making this a warm and welcoming retreat. The highlight for us was the cozy log burner in the living room, which made evenings feel so relaxing and special. The cottage itself was beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean, and well-equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The little details—like the thoughtful touches left for guests—made it feel like a home away from home. The beds were extremely comfortable and had lovely thick duvets. The location was perfect, too—peaceful and scenic, yet convenient for exploring the surrounding area. We left feeling completely refreshed and would highly recommend this gem to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway. Wonderful host. Great property. Great views. Was only there one night en passant but would love to go back again. Everything was as described and spotless. Highly recommended for a quiet getaway.

Smugglers Cottage was everything we expected and more.. So cosy, clean, all mod.cons ..Bedrooms and shower rooms where amazing..Everything as advertised…. Julie & Charlotte where very helpful whenever we needed any information.. The village has everything you need ..All within walking distance of the cottage.. Highly recommended

After a Long weekend at Park Cottage we have just arrived home. Emma the owner was fantastic. After a small misap at the start due to a Central Heating problem Emma set about making sure our stay was was warm and trouble free. We soon at plenty of hot water and the Log Burner in the lounge was stacked with enough logs to heat the whole area never mind the Cottage. Emma even allowed us a late check out which was lovely. We will definatly return as located in a stunning area and with Emma at hand im sure it would be another trip to remember. Thank you Emma from Steve, Claire, Jean and Barry.

We spent great week in Autumn cottage. It very clean and functional. Good information left on the area. Filey/Muston is a wonderful place for walkers. We would highly recommend the cottage for two people or a couple and a child.

Stayed at this Beautiful cabin with a friend for her birthday and to visit the York Christmas markets. It was lovely inside, just like the photos and in such peaceful surroundings. we enjoyed sitting out early in the mornings watching shooting stars and listening to the owls hooting. Everything we needed was catered for and Thank you to Claire for the Prosecco and cakes, such a lively suprise. Can't rccomend this property enough for a chilled stay!

Judith’s cottage was a gorgeous little spot for my husband and I on our time away. We wanted to rest and recuperate before the busy Christmas season and it was perfect for it. Super cosy, very comfy, lovely and clean and felt right at home We went to Giannis Italian restaurant and it was divine ☺️ We’ll defo be back again!

The Cottage is located in a stunning area and is an incredibly cozy and homey place to be. We arrived late in the evening and had been left clear instructions on how to get in, the house was heated and David had left us a box of chocolate biscuits. He popped by the next day to welcome us and throughout the stay was incredibly helpful and friendly. We brought two little dogs with us and the back garden and surrounding fields were perfect for them. There is space for a car, the house has everything you need and the view from the double bedroom is great. The WiFi worked perfectly for three of us working remotely during the week. Would 100% come here again!

Great stay, lovely location. Nice and peaceful. Half a mile to the local pub. Lots of nice walks around. Andrew was quick to respond when I contacted him.

We had a fabulous short break here. The cottage was perfect for us.. homely and comfortable with everything we needed. The sea views from the bathroom were fantastic, and you’re right on the Cleveland Way path. It is quiet and relaxing, but only a mile and a bit to Staithes if the urge for fish and chips hits! Kathy was a very friendly and responsive host. We loved it, thank you!
